365-Day Trial Marriage With Hunk: Wife's A Little Wild
Chapter 2110: She Didn’t Lie
"..."
Damn it!
Is this what they call a single misstep leading to a lifetime of regret?
A week has passed, Yu Xiuzhun believes he has fulfilled every promise he made to her, yet she’s still guarding against him like he’s a thief. What an ungrateful woman!
"Forget it, forget it, I’ll be going home tomorrow anyway, so it’s fine if I don’t wash up." Ye Mingmei stuffed her pajamas into his hand, "Here, since you’re so worried, afraid I’ll die in the bathroom, you can go in and wash for me. The pajamas are a free gift, no need to be polite."
Just the thought of leaving the hospital tomorrow filled Ye Mingmei with immense joy.
Even the annoying Yu Xiuzhun seemed much more acceptable.
"We agreed, one week, and when the time’s up, you’ll let me go home." Ye Mingmei cut him off before Yu Xiuzhun could speak, reminding him repeatedly, afraid he’d change his mind again.
"Does your body feel uncomfortable at all?" Yu Xiuzhun tossed her pajamas onto the sofa, stepped forward, and pulled her into his arms.
His large hand gently stroked her long hair, curling the ends around his fingers.
"Not at all, I feel really strong now, honestly!" Ye Mingmei moved a bit, realizing Yu Xiuzhun wouldn’t let go, she didn’t bother to struggle, lifting her head with a mischievous smile.
Her eyes hid a sly glint.
She wasn’t foolish, to get discharged, she had to make herself seem as robust as an ox.
"I promised to let you go back, I won’t lie to you. Honestly tell me, does anything still feel uncomfortable? I’ll have the doctor prescribe some medication for you to take home."
Those were probing words, but Yu Xiuzhun would never let her know that.
"Truly nothing." Having been held in his arms, Ye Mingmei couldn’t push away, so she found a comfortable position on his chest, fiddling with her little fingers.
"That issue is long gone, I could have actually been discharged yesterday."
She was speaking the truth, her body indeed felt fine. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢

Yu Xiuzhun’s gaze flickered, hiding the dim light in his eyes.
When Ye Mingmei first told him yesterday, he didn’t believe her and had secretly checked while she was sleeping.
She didn’t lie.
But he still wasn’t reassured.
If he could, he would bind her to his side forever, watching her with care.
But Ye Mingmei wouldn’t agree.
She couldn’t endure any more stress now. He could only wait, wait until the fetus approached three months, wait until the situation stabilized.
"Go take a bath, I won’t go in." Yu Xiuzhun suddenly spoke, changing his tone.
"A promise-breaker is a puppy!" Ye Mingmei wriggled out of his arms, darted over to the sofa to grab her clothes, and dashed into the bathroom, closing the door with a bang.
Watching her nonchalant actions, Yu Xiuzhun’s face darkened.
He didn’t follow her into the bathroom, yet he remained uneasy, standing outside the bathroom door, listening carefully to the sounds within.
He didn’t move an inch, standing there for nearly half an hour until Ye Mingmei came out.
"You’ve been with me all this time, don’t you need to attend to the company’s affairs?"
At ten o’clock in the evening, Ye Mingmei sat on the sofa, clutching a pillow, drowsy, looking puzzled at Yu Xiuzhun sitting opposite her.
He had stayed in the hospital all week, barely leaving.
Whenever he did leave for a while, it was to get her food because she was picky.
Other times, his assistant would occasionally come to report to him, only for a short while.
The rest of the time, Yu Xiuzhun spent at the hospital.
