Chapter 201: How To Make the Disaster Come Early.
Noah had no idea that the Blue Star Civilization’s soaring rank had stirred a sensation within that small circle. Even if he had known, it would not have mattered. Some things could not be avoided.
"Is is impossible to make the new difficulty appear earlier?"
He frowned slightly.
The intelligence he had purchased gave a clear answer. It could not be done.
Noah did not dwell on it. Since that was the case, he could only find another way to make the Human Level Calamity descend sooner.
"The difficulty above Nightmare is Hell. To obtain the special record, it must be cleared within half a year."
"The difficulty above Extreme is Pain. The time limit is also half a year, but Pain comes with an additional condition. The Hell Dungeon must be cleared within that same time limit first."
In other words, clearing the higher difficulty of the Trial Instance was the prerequisite for unlocking the higher difficulty of the Advancement Instance.
The High Difficulty had only been unlocked because Noah’s team performed exceptionally and cleared the Hard Dungeon. As for Extreme difficulty, it had been unlocked ahead of time due to the sublimation of Noah’s talent, allowing him to skip that step entirely.
"Half a year..."
Noah muttered to himself.
"More than a month has already passed since the Universal Awakening. That leaves just over four months. Taking into account the time required to clear the dungeons, the actual windows is at most four months."
His gaze turned sharp.
Within these four months, the Human Level Calamity must be resolved, and the civilization must ascend to a Second Level Civilization."
Noah felt a heavy pressure settle over him.
Ascending to a Second Level Civilization within four months was already an almost impossible task. If he also wanted to secure a strong ranking on the Civilization Pillar while advancing at such speed, the difficulty would be no less than ascending to heaven.
No wonder the Dawn Civilization had chosen to abandon rapid ascension.
When he had spoken with Sally earlier, Noah had not sensed anything unusual. But now, after purchasing more detailed intelligence about the Human Level Calamity, doubts began to surface in his mind.
Did the Dawn Civilization truly need to remain locked in a stalemate with the Human Level Calamity for ten whole years?
Their ranking on the Civilization Pillar stood at 235. They were far stronger than the Blue Star Civilization and were also a legendary race.
Just how terrifying was the Human Level Calamity? 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂
Noah had long known that it was extremely dangerous, with the possibility of Seventh Order monsters appearing at its peak.
But if that were truly the case, how could any First Level Civilization withstand it?
A First Level Civilization could only produce experts at the Fifth Order at most.
In reality, the upper and lower limits of the Human Level varied greatly. As long as Fifth Order monsters appeared, it still fell within scope of a Human Level Calamity.
Not only First Level Civilizations, even the opponents faced by Second Level Civilization were still classified as Human Level Calamities.
However, the Human-Level Calamity faced by First-Level Civilizations would at most include Sixth-Order monsters. Calamities involving Seventh-Order monsters would only appear when facing Second-Level Civilizations.
It was not that the Disasters were unwilling to go all out. They simply could not tear open a spatial passage large enough for Seventh-Order monsters to pass through within a First-Level Civilization. Sixth-Order was already the limit.
Noah did not know the exact reason behind this. It likely involved the clash of higher-level powers beyond his understanding.
"If the Dawn Civilization had extremely bad luck and encountered a Human-Level Calamity with multiple Sixth-Order monsters, a stalemate would be possible. But ten years is far too long. Even those top-ranked civilizations with civilization indices exceeding one hundred million could not possibly fail to resolve it and still drag things out for so long."
At this point, Noah finally understood.
These civilizations had most likely chosen to abandon rapid ascension. Instead, they advanced steadily, focusing on strengthening their foundations step by step.
It was simply another strategy for civilization development.
They gave up the special rewards, but in return, they secured higher rankings on the Civilization Pillar and built a far more solid foundation.
There were always gains and losses.
"The special reward is crucial for a civilization like Blue Star. Its foundation is far too weak. Only by obtaining as many special rewards as possible can it hope to evolve into a legendary race, or even a Divine Grade race in the future."
Noah paused for a moment, his gaze deepening.
"But the Dawn Civilization is already a legendary race."
Noah let out a quiet sigh.
The destination that weak races struggled toward with everything they had was merely the starting point for others.
To become a Divine Grade race was simply too difficult, the hope too faint. It was no surprise that those legendary races chose to give up.
Although he understood their choice, Noah had no intention of following the same path.
As merit points were deducted, streams of new information poured into his mind.
"So there are three ways to make the Human-Level Calamity descend earlier. Transcendent Aura, the strength of the world, and enemy-slaying titles."
He narrowed his eyes slightly as he sorted through the knowledge.
"Among them, Transcendent Aura is the most effective. Those Disasters are the most sensitive to its presence."
Enemy-slaying titles were easy to understand. Noah himself possessed one, Enemy of Demonized Monsters.
Holding such a title made the world he resided in more likely to attract attacks from Demonized Monsters.
As for the strength of the world, Noah quickly grasped the concept.
Disasters fed on worlds. The stronger a world became, the more it would draw their attention and greed.
At that moment, Noah also realized why Aberrant Disasters had been attracted during the earlier distribution of ranking rewards.
It had never been a coincidence.
The rewards granted by the Civilization Pillar had strengthened the entire civilization, causing the Blue Star Civilization to grow noticeably stronger in an instant. On a world level, it had begun to shine more brightly.
Although this kind of attraction was not as intense as the descent of Transcendent Aura, it still carried a chance of drawing the attention of Disasters.
