Chapter 208: Space Blade

The hundred meter stretch of space has been shaped into a blade by Noah and then set into motion.

But its movement was still not like that of a normal object. It was not truly flying. Instead, it shifted through adjacent space in a continuous series of spacial displacements. To the eye, it looked like forward motion, but in reality, it was space itself relocating.

Of course, only space moved. The object within it remained unchanged. Because of this, there was no strange scene where the Space Blade passed through a target and the target appeared behind it.

"The power is impressive, but the range and speed are too limited."

Noah shook his head.

Against stationary targets, the threat of Space Blade was undeniably significant. However, its range and speed had already reached their current limits. Although both were tied to spirit, and Noah’s spirit had surpassed one million, its performance still fell short of expectation.

There was only one explanation.

Rare quality skills had their limits.

On the positive side, increasing the skill level would reduce its consumption.

As expected of a space type ability, Space Blade consumed a tremendous amount of energy. It was only because Noah’s attribute were exceptionally high that he could sustain it for a meaningful duration.

For now, he decided to leave his remaining two skill slots empty. He would wait until he had fully maximized his growth value and seen the drops from Fourth Order Instances before making a decision.

At present, he held two Epic grade items, the Sublimation Stone and the Source of Demons.

He had not used either of them yet.

Noah planned to use Sublimation Stone on Sun Shooting Bow. This weapon had extraordinary origins and was worthy of being upgraded to Epic Quality. The reason he had held back was simple. Epic equipment could not be used in Fourth Order Instances.

If he had been able to use the Sun Shooting Bow in the Demon World, the mission difficulty would have been greatly reduced.

Because of this, he planned to use the Sublimation Stone only after advancing to a Fifth order expert.

As for upgrading it again at the Sixth Order, that would be too late.

Instances were not everything.

Noah understood that when advancing from Fifth Order to Sixth Order, he would undergo another Talent Sublimation. At that point, difficulty of Instances would increase dramatically. A perfect grade Sun Shooting Bow might no make a decisive difference.

It would be better to let it truly shine during a Human Level Calamity.

As for the Source of Demons, Noah was not in a hurry to sell it.

Those who frequented the trading market in the Civilization Convergence Zone were mostly First Level Civilizations. Perfect grade items were already considered trump cards, while Epic grade items were practically at a nuclear level.

If he rushed to sell it, it would be difficult to get a price that satisfied him. Exchanging it for merit points was even less worthwhile.

"Let’s run the Instance first."

A day passed quickly.

Rose and the others moved with remarkable speed. They cleared most of Blue Star’s Disaster Instances in a short time and all obtained permissions.

Some chose Refinement, while others chose Rolling in Money. Their levels were all between one and two.

Noah paid little attention to their choices. As soon as the time arrived, he immediately began running Instances.

There were a total of 160 Fourth Order Trial Instances.

Noah had already decided which ones to challenge. There were no new difficulty tiers at the Fourth Order. The highest remained Nightmare Dungeon.

Just like in Third Order Instances, the strongest enemies in Fourth Order Nightmare Dungeons were Lord level beings, with strength comparable to high level demons such as the Escaping Void Demon.

Noah could already kill monsters of this level instantly when he was at the Third Order.

Now, it was even easier.

Leader grade monsters possess attributes that are three to five times the upper limit of their rank, along with perfect control over their power.

Among Awakeners, they would undoubtedly be considered super geniuses, capable of reaching two to three hundred floors in the Sky Piercing Tower.

Among the countless Children of Civilization from First Level Civilizations, only one such individual has ever appeared. Yet inside dungeons, they are not uncommon.

There is no fairness in dungeons. They do not follow reason.

As Noah released an arrow and killed the dungeon boss, the system prompt rang out.

[ Congratulations on clearing the Trial Instance Cold Tide Nightmare. Your evaluation is SSS grade. You have obtained the following rewards. Growth Value 15. Strength crystals 220,000. Agility crystals 220,000. Constitution crystals 220,000. Spirit crystals 220,000. Perfect Grade Material Star Firefly Stone. ] 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎

[ Since this is the first clear and your contribution is unmatched, you receive additional rewards. Strength crystals 200,000. Agility crystals 200,000. Constitution crystals 200,000. Spirit crystals 200,000. Rare Grade Equipment Ice and Snow Ring. Perfect Grade Item Mark of Curse. ]

As expected, the attribute crystal rewards from Fourth Tier Nightmare Dungeons were significantly reduced.

This followed the usual dungeon reward pattern.

Even at the highest difficulty, the rewards were like this. For Ordinary and Hard difficulties, it would be even lower. The higher one advanced, the more difficult ascension became.

The item rewards, however, were quite good. Out of the three items, two were Perfect grade.

Perfect grade items only begin dropping from the Fourth Tier. Combined with the first clear bonus, SSS evaluation, Nightmare difficulty, and the Level 10 Refinement bonus, such high quality rewards were not surprising.

With enough luck, even Epic items could appear.

Of course, Noah did not rely on luck. He rarely had that kind of fortune.

He also had no intention of using his precious specified rewards on Trial Instances.

Noah opened his attribute panel and was surprised to find that his Combat Art had changed. It had reached 102 percent, which was unexpected.

After thinking it through, there were likely two reasons.

First, a full day had passed. Under the effect of his talent, his overall attributes had increased by more than forty thousand. These were attributes he could fully control.

Second, Combat Art was determined by the mind, will, and soul. A strong mind, unwavering will, and powerful soul allowed one to control greater strength.

Although these factors did not appear on the attribute panel, that did not mean they did not exist.
