Daddy Always Gets Jealous
Chapter 183 - 185 Suicide (1)_1
"..."
Huo Jinnan remained silent.
The little guy sat there, swinging his legs, "Then my mom must really love you, right?"
Huo Jinnan still did not utter a sound.
The little guy’s ears turned red as he spoke softly, "Well, you know that getting a girlfriend requires funds, so give me more pocket money every month in the future."
Huo Jinnan put down the remote control and glanced at the little guy, "How much do you need?"
The little guy counted on his fingers for a while, considering the cost of movies, meals, and the fact that he would need to go at least once a week, and that he’d have to buy gifts for festivals; he couldn’t give the worst ones, and even a gift was quite expensive!
After doing some calculations, he looked in Huo Jinnan’s direction and said uncertainly, "I don’t need too much, just double my allowance every month."
Double?
Huo Jinnan’s brow furrowed slightly.
The little guy immediately became anxious, "Dad, I’m your son; I can’t just take Huanhuan out to McDonald’s or KFC, right? That wouldn’t reflect well on you! I should at least get her a decent gift for the holidays, right?"
Huo Jinnan looked toward Uncle Lu, "From now on, give the young master an extra twenty thousand for his allowance each month."
So generous, it’s rare!
He directly doubled it; the boy even doubted he heard it correctly!
The little guy stared blankly at Huo Jinnan, overwhelmed by the favor.
The phone rang. Huo Jinnan answered a call, his gaze growing deeper. Standing up, he put on his suit jacket while looking down at the little guy, "I have some things to take care of and won’t be back tonight, go to sleep early."
What could it be at this hour?
The little guy stared up at Huo Jinnan, walking energetically to the door to send him off and whispered gently, "Dad, be careful on the road."
Huo Jinnan "hmmed," shut the door behind him, stepped out of the yard, opened the car door, and got into the vehicle with a stern expression.
When he arrived at the Gu family’s house, he stopped the car and looked toward Huo Jinyun waiting in the living room.
Seeing Huo Jinnan, Huo Jinyun stood up, "Anan, you’ve finally come."
Huo Jinnan took off his coat and casually threw it aside.
Huo Jinyun sighed, "I never thought she’d do something so foolish because she couldn’t come to terms with reality. I had no choice but to call you. Please, go upstairs and talk to her; if she doesn’t get to the hospital soon, she might be in life-threatening danger from losing too much blood."
Gu Yunping sat on one side, head down, smoking, without saying a word.
He had only one sister, who now was seeking death for a man whose heart was never truly with her. Naturally, his mood was foul, and he had no friendly expression for Huo Jinnan.
Huo Jinnan passed by Gu Yunping and headed straight upstairs.
Reaching Yunqing’s room, he pushed the door open and saw Yunqing lying on the bed with her eyes closed, her face pale, the white sheets stained with blood, his eyes growing darker by the moment.
Yunqing, hearing someone enter, called out weakly, "Brother, leave me alone, don’t try to persuade me!"
Huo Jinnan stood at the bedside, lit a cigarette, glanced at Yunqing’s cut wrist, and spoke coldly, "Wrist-cutting suicide?"
Huo Jinnan!
Yunqing hadn’t expected him to actually come; she opened her eyes, looked at Huo Jinnan, her lips quivered, and she spoke weakly, "Anan, you came?"
"..."
Huo Jinnan did not reply, his eyes icy as he fixed his gaze on Yunqing.
Auntie Wu, the Gu family’s housekeeper, hurriedly interrupted, "Miss, you mustn’t move around."
Yunqing looked toward Huo Jinnan forlornly, "Anan..."
Struggling like a willow in the breeze, she tried to rise but fell back onto the bed.
Huo Jinnan watched for a moment then shifted his gaze from her bloodied arm and looked sideways at Auntie Wu, "Bring me a pair of scissors."
