Qin Feng looked up and scanned his surroundings.

They stood in a plaza so vast it defied description.

The dome soared out of sight, replaced by a simulated, realistic star-filled sky twinkling with a gentle light. Miniature nebulae even drifted slowly through it.

On the plaza floor were millions of Teleportation Light Gates, each emitting a faint blue halo. They were arranged in neat rows, stretching to the horizon like an inverted Star Sea.

Every second, Teleportation Gates lit up or went dark.

Countless Martial Artists in various types of power armor and Tactical Suits emerged from or vanished into them. Like Qin Feng’s squad, most of them were covered in blood, their armor splattered with alien fluids and shredded flesh. Their eyes held undisguised exhaustion and a palpable Evil Qi.

A few were high-spirited, clearly returning from a successful haul. Most, however, moved with haste, accepting new missions and rushing off to new battlefields.

This was the Central Transmission Hub of Cannan Star Martial Arts University, the beginning and the end connecting the academy to the cosmic battlefields.

It was a river forged from steel and blood, one that never ceased to flow.

Qin Feng’s group of four stood within this river. The signs of the bloody slaughter they had just endured didn’t draw a single second glance. Instead, they blended in harmoniously, just another normal brushstroke in this grand tapestry.

Their four gazes met in mid-air, lingering for a moment on each other’s blood-caked faceplates.

The next moment, all four broke into genuine smiles.

It was the relief of survival, the unspoken understanding forged from fighting side-by-side, and more than that, a mutual recognition and trust in each other’s strength.

"Let’s go deal with this ’armor’ first."

Zhou Quan’s muffled voice broke the silence. He pointed at a large, coagulated patch of stinking, ghastly green pus on his power armor’s chest. "The smell is about to fry my olfactory sensors."

At the edge of the plaza were rows of fully automated service facilities.

The four of them walked familiarly to an area marked [Power Armor Maintenance Station].

Here, cleaning and charging units were provided free of charge to Canaan students.

They secured their respective power armors into the docking slots.

Several mechanical arms immediately extended. First, high-pressure flows of Spiritual Energy blasted away the large chunks of filth from the armor’s surface. Then, like a gray mist, countless shimmering nanobots enveloped every inch of the power armor, beginning a detailed process of cleaning, polishing, and damage assessment.

Finally, thick Spiritual Energy conduits connected to the ports on the back of the power armor, replenishing the energy consumed in battle.

The entire process was efficient and silent.

While waiting, Qin Feng instinctively checked his Subspace Storage Unit.

His heart skipped a beat.

The black cube he had placed inside—the flight recorder containing the whole truth about the "Star-Walker 7"—had vanished.

’The mission system can directly extract quest items from my private storage space...’

A flash of realization, along with shock at the Empire’s omnipresent and powerful Control, crossed Qin Feng’s eyes.

With a flicker of Intent, the four of them recalled their power armors into their Subspace Storage Units, revealing the black Combat Suits they wore underneath.

"Let’s go see what we got this time."

Zou Yun’s voice held a trace of unconcealable anticipation.

It had been too long since he had so satisfyingly completed such a high-reward mission.

The four walked over to a nearby rest area, each found a seat, and simultaneously opened the HDU interface on their personal terminals, pulling up the settlement page for the Empire’s mission system.
