Chapter 680: Chapter 680: Unexpected Collaboration

Dong Ze’s concerns were not unfounded, as Mu Bai was now glaring at Xiang Yu with such ferocity that it seemed as if flames might burst forth from his eyes. He wouldn’t go against Dong Ze’s wishes, but he harbored resentment toward Xiang Yu.

Dong Ze made a toasting gesture with his cup toward Xiang Yu, who also picked up his glass and took a sip.

"Starting from tomorrow, I will have our brothers visit you, and additionally, the full authority over Haoran Group’s affairs will be entrusted to you. I hope you won’t disappoint me," Dong Ze said.

Xiang Yu nodded and replied, "Don’t worry, I won’t let any brother down."

The two then discussed some finer details and, after that, Dong Ze stood up and left. Mu Bai, following behind, cast a somewhat malicious glance at Xiang Yu before leaving as well.

After their departure, the happiest one was Tie Zhuzi. Sitting across from Xiang Yu, he rubbed his hands excitedly and said, "Bro Yu, this is like a pie falling from the sky. Why don’t you seem happy at all?"

Xiang Yu was not like Tie Zhuzi. He had more to consider. On the surface, the matter appeared favorable, but the merger of two major groups was no simple affair—it was bound to be fraught with complex entanglements of interests.

If Dong Ze hadn’t presented such a good attitude, and had not been sincere, Xiang Yu would never have agreed to this arrangement. Their interactions had been minimal, and there was little emotional connection among many brothers. An organization forged in such circumstances would lack solidity.

Xiang Yu and Tie Zhuzi left the hotel together, and while in the car, Xiang Yu called Sun Bo. At that very moment, Sun Bo had just gotten his phone and hadn’t yet had a chance to report back to Xiang Yu.

"Soon, Haoran Group will reconcile with us and discuss matters of cooperation," Xiang Yu stated simply.

"How is that possible, Bro Yu? We’re at loggerheads with them. How could they reconcile so easily?" Sun Bo replied with some skepticism.

He trusted Xiang Yu’s strength, but a business war was different from the battles they fought on the streets. Their operations were out in the open. Even with Xiang Yu stepping in, it wouldn’t be possible to win over them so quickly.

"You don’t need to worry about those details. Just remember one thing—if Haoran Group becomes our subsidiary, you must ensure fairness and impartiality, with no favoritism," Xiang Yu instructed directly.

Sun Bo found it difficult to wrap his head around the situation and merely nodded along, then hung up the phone. Xiang Yu’s statements were baffling to him.

The mention of cooperation alone had left him in a daze, and now the possibility of the other party becoming their subsidiary was even more overwhelming. But he couldn’t help fantasizing about what it could mean if they really could work with Haoran Group—their status in the city would skyrocket.

If Haoran Group became their subsidiary, no other enterprise in the city could surpass their achievements, and the thought alone was exhilarating. But, of course, it could only stay a thought.

In the end, Sun Bo could only shake his head with a bemused smile, dismissing these unrealistic expectations. How could such things come to pass? After all, the two parties were sworn enemies. Shaking off these notions, he prepared to return to the company.

Just then, his phone rang again—it was the Deputy General Manager of Haoran Group, seeking to discuss some matters. This left Sun Bo dumbstruck. Could everything Bro Yu had said actually be true...?

As soon as Xiang Yu and Tie Zhuzi returned to the hotel, they received a call from Wang Ze.

"Big Brother, I’ve found the villa. It’s located near the southern mountain area. The place is like a small villa complex and it’s close to our training base in the mountains. The environment is quite nice," Wang Ze reported.

Xiang Yu had asked him to find a house near the mountains, and after searching, Wang Ze had settled on that location, so he called Xiang Yu.

"Understood. We will move there in the next few days," Xiang Yu said, ready to hang up the phone. It was then that he remembered they still had Qin Wen, the General Manager of Haoran Group, in their custody.

"Release the woman we have captured right now, and send her home," Xiang Yu ordered.

Wang Ze acknowledged the order and then hung up. But shortly after the call ended, he dialed Xiang Yu again.

"What’s the situation?" Xiang Yu asked.

"Big Brother, this woman says she won’t leave. She insists that you come over to see her before she goes," Wang Ze said helplessly.

After all, Qin Wen was the one they had abducted, but now the situation had reversed—she refused to leave.

Xiang Yu chuckled and said, "Tell her to leave now, and I’ll make a special date with her some other day."

"Will that really work?" Wang Ze asked doubtfully before hanging up the phone again.

He walked into the log cabin and then smiled at Qin Wen, "Miss Qin, you should hurry and leave. There must be lots of things waiting for you at your company."

However, Qin Wen sat in the chair humming a tune, looking cheerful as she said to Wang Ze, "Where’s your Big Brother? I want to see him, and I won’t leave until I do."

"Big Brother says you should go back first, and he will make a special appointment to have dinner with you another day," Wang Ze whispered.

"Really? Did he say that?" Qin Wen asked skeptically, looking at Wang Ze.

Wang Ze nodded eagerly and said, "Cross my heart."

Qin Wen sat there and thought for a while before nodding, "Alright, since he is willing, I’ll trust him." And with that, she stood up.

Wang Ze had his men blindfold her eyes before finally sending her back.

The day after the meal, Xiang Yu, Tie Zhuzi, and Wang Ze went to check out a small manor in the southern region near the mountains. The manor contained over a dozen villas, each situated in its unique spot, all appearing to have their distinct style.

Xiang Yu fell in love with it at first sight and decided on the spot to move there the next day. He also named the place "Wolong Villa."

While the three of them were walking around, Xiang Yu’s phone rang. It was a call from Feng Lan.

"You should be extra careful these days. The boss of the Evil God’s district is planning something, and he might make a move on you soon," Feng Lan cautioned.

She had warned Xiang Yu about this before, and for some reason, she just felt like giving him a call. Not knowing what else to say, she repeated something that everyone already knew.

"Got it, is there anything else?" Xiang Yu asked.

Feng Lan didn’t know what else to say and responded somewhat irritably, "That’s all." Then she swiftly hung up.

Xiang Yu held his phone, puzzled by the other party’s outburst, then put it away.

The reason Xiang Yu wanted to move his residence here quickly was precisely because of the Evil God’s schemes. They were plotting and would come for him at any time, which would put him at a disadvantage if he stayed in a hotel.

If he moved in here, he would have more options, and the safety factor would be higher. If worst came to worst, he could even flee into the mountains.

What concerned Xiang Yu the most now was not knowing how things were with Xiao Xuan...
