Urban Super Soldier King-Chapter 701: The Assassin Within Arm’s Reach
Chapter 701: Chapter 701: The Assassin Within Arm’s Reach
Tie Zhuzi saw that Xiang Yu had reached in, and then he started to leave with the others. However, the expressions on their faces changed unpredictably as they watched Xiang Yu.
After fumbling around beside the beauty’s thigh for a while, Xiang Yu suddenly pulled out a black object from within.
Seeing what Xiang Yu had in his hand, the color drained from everyone’s faces. freeweɓnovel.cøm
"A gun?" Tie Zhuzi exclaimed in shock.
It was illogical for such a beautiful girl to be concealing a gun on her person.
The group looked at Xiang Yu, surprised. If Xiang Yu hadn’t discovered it sooner, who knows what might have happened.
"Who is she?" Tie Zhuzi asked.
"Assassin," Xiang Yu said expressionlessly.
Everyone gasped in shock, and Tie Zhuzi couldn’t help but step forward and spread the beauty’s legs to check inside. Seeing nothing but human organs, he finally felt at ease.
They all quickly sat down to watch Xiang Yu, especially Wang Ze, who had promised Xiang Yu that if anyone from the Evil God entered, they would detect them at once.
"Damn it, killers look like this now? How’s one supposed to live?" Tie Zhuzi complained.
"She’s from The Dark Department of Evil God. There’s definitely more than just her in this city. Everyone needs to be careful these days," Xiang Yu said.
Everyone had a very serious expression. Just then, Xiao Xuan, sitting in the distance, suddenly stood up and rushed toward Xiang Yu with the fastest speed.
"Get down," Xiao Xuan yelled at the same time.
Trained individuals like Wu Jing understood at that moment that something was happening. They each found cover to hide behind.
At that moment, a faint noise came from the window. Looking at the female assassin lying there, there was now a bloody hole in her head, and a small hole in the glass.
Xiao Xuan, born an assassin, had superhuman stealth and observational skills. He instantly reacted when he saw a glint of light in the distance and lunged toward Xiang Yu.
He couldn’t be certain that the glint was the reflection from a sniper rifle’s scope, but with life and death at stake, caution was paramount. And it turned out his caution was necessary.
Xiang Yu, realizing the moment Xiao Xuan lunged toward him, quickly reached out his hand to pull Xiao Xuan forcefully. They both quickly took cover behind the sofa.
"Don’t move from here," Xiang Yu patted Xiao Xuan and said.
Meanwhile, Xiang Yu rolled forward with great speed. Bullets followed the path of his roll and hit the ground. By then, Xiang Yu had already moved to a position out of sight.
He swiftly pushed a table aside, revealing a rectangular box underneath. Xiang Yu opened the box and assembled what was inside with remarkable speed.
Tie Zhuzi and the others watched in astonishment as Xiang Yu put together the gun; pieces that had been scattered moments before now formed a sniper rifle, an assembly so swift it was astonishing.
Xiao Xuan too, hiding and watching, couldn’t help but admire.
Having quickly assembled the rifle, Xiang Yu moved to the window. He cautiously peeked outside, then quickly ducked back.
In that brief moment, a bullet grazed past Xiang Yu’s scalp. And he had just barely caught a glimpse of a sniper hiding in the distance. He immediately aimed his rifle outside but was a fraction too slow. Without firing, he quickly ducked for cover again.
Because Xiang Yu and his team were confined to a small room while their opponent could hide anywhere, their mobility was inferior to that of their opponent. In a fight between masters, even the slightest weakness could lead to fatal injury.
At this moment, Xiao Xuan, hiding behind the sofa, quietly tossed a pillow to Xiang Yu, who caught the hint and then threw the pillow toward another window.
Simultaneously, Xiang Yu appeared at the nearest window and, with utmost speed, captured the opponent’s figure, aimed, and fired.
As expected, the assassin was also a beautiful woman. However, at this moment, Xiang Yu showed no mercy; he targeted her temple and pulled the trigger.
The female assassin, upon seeing a flash from the window, had already fired her gun. When she realized it was just a pillow, she knew she had been tricked. Without time to think further, she immediately rolled to the side.
And just then, a bullet struck her shoulder precisely.
The wounded assassin didn’t look back; she got up and ran away, leaving behind a sniper rifle on a distant rooftop, which she had no time to retrieve.
Xiang Yu, concealed at one corner of the window, watched the outside diligently for a while. Only after seeing there was no longer any danger did he lower his gun and stand up.
"Bro Yu, be careful, it’s dangerous," Tie Zhuzi warned from his hiding spot.
"She’s gone," Xiang Yu quickly replied.
Only then did the rest of the team emerge, with Xiao Xuan rushing outside quickly.
Tie Zhuzi approached the window cautiously and peered outside. After confirming everything was calm, he finally relaxed. Not long after, he saw another figure appear on the distant rooftop.
He was about to shout when he realized the person standing there was Xiao Xuan.
Xiao Xuan, holding the enemy’s sniper rifle, scanned the angles and corners. After making sure everything was safe, she returned with the rifle in her arms.
"Everyone, quickly pack what we need to take; this place isn’t safe anymore. We’re heading to Wolong Villa tonight," Xiang Yu said prudently.
Wu Jing and Wang Ze got ready, taking along the self-defense measures they had in their rooms, which they had to carry now.
Meanwhile, Tie Zhuzi was responsible for cleaning up the scene.
Fortunately, the first shot from the opponent was aimed at the lying female assassin. If it had been aimed at Xiang Yu, that last shot could have injured him.
The team didn’t have much to take with them apart from their weapons, and they were all ready in about an hour, then gathered again in Xiang Yu’s office.
"Let’s go, leave this place," Xiang Yu said and then prepared to walk outside. It was then that his phone rang; it was a call from Mu Bai.
Xiang Yu knew he would be contacted and answered bluntly, "What’s the meaning of this?"
Taken aback by Xiang Yu’s straightforward question, Mu Bai replied, "Just one meaning."
"We’ll talk when we meet," Xiang Yu said, ready to hang up the phone.
Mu Bai, feeling anxious, quickly said, "I’m downstairs. I want to come up and see you now."
"Wait down there; I’ll be right down," Xiang Yu replied and then headed downstairs.
Mu Bai sat in the car below with some confusion, wondering when Xiang Yu had become so proactive as to come down to meet him. He didn’t dwell on it though and waited in the car...
