Raising My Trash Ability into a Broken SSS+ Rank Skill
Chapter 801: Evelyn’s Priorities
"Father, what are you doing?" Evelyn turned around and looked at the man covered in bandages.
From her tone, everyone could feel that she was not happy.
"My daughter, this is not the right place to talk. We will talk once we return home." Fader spoke, then looked at all the other participants in the war.
Who had paused after Evelyn’s outburst.
"Let’s end this here for today." Some of the Crooked got so angry at that tone.
Was it a game that he could end whenever he wanted? This is a war!
They wanted to attack, but right then, a single loud word resounded.
"Return!!" All the crooks were startled, this was the voice of one of their top leaders.
Despite being filled with grievances, they could only turn back and leave.
The one whom Evelyn had almost killed and the ones who got captured by her were the first to escape.
Evelyn could only watch as all the Crooked just left, then the higher beings, as if nothing had happened, chatted and began to return.
The war had become nothing more than a game for them. Crooked appears, they fight, war ends and they return.
No surprises, no suspense.
Evelyn just teleported away, soon arriving back in the higher being realm, going straight to the cloud realm to meet her father.
Before long, her father returned to the cloud palace and went straight to his throne and slumped down on it.
Losing all the air of a leader from earlier, appearing lazy.
"So, my daughter, you want to know why I did that?" Before Evelyn, Fader broke the silence.
"Yes." Evelyn nodded, her anger was because of Evel though.
"The death of each Crooked or higher being is a very big matter. It has been after a very long time and much bloodshed that we were able to achieve this balance." Suddenly, in a serious tone, he spoke.
"Even a single death will result in breaking this balance. The Crooked want to achieve their goals, but even they know an all-out war will result in big casualties on both sides."
"So, whatever might have made you angry, it wouldn’t be good if your anger led to such a war." Fader finished.
"..." Evelyn sighed. He is right. If she really killed him, it might have blown into something very big.
But if she were to see that woman again, she would still do her best to kill her, even if her father or grandfather got in the way.
"Forget that, we got to solve the issue with that realm." Fader suddenly changed the topic.
"How did it go?" Evelyn questioned.
"Of course, we got our rights to the realm back." Fader replied as if stating the obvious.
"And what is the cost you had to pay?" Evelyn narrowed her eyes, fully aware of how stubborn those Asura could be.
"..." After a brief pause, he smiled and spoke with a laugh. "The Asura Empress proposed a marriage, she wants her son to marry you."
Evelyn: "..."
She looked around, finding nothing, so she walked towards the heavy seat placed on the side.
She picked it up and swung it towards her father’s head.
BANG
"W- Wait, my daughter, l- listen to me first, oof!" Fader did his best to dodge but, in the end, the brutal attack from his daughter struck him hard.
Fader rubbed his forehead, looking resentfully at his daughter. He had fallen behind his throne.
Evelyn was really pissed off, first her father and grandfather made that Armin her fiance against her wishes.
And now this again? Do they think she is some product they can use however they want for their benefit, sell her off to the highest bidder?
"Then explain, how is it my dea- I mean dear father." Evelyn asked, setting down the heavy seat she had picked earlier.
"You..." Fader huffed, that dead was definitely not a mistake.
"It’s not like I agreed to their conditions, I told them that my daughter is already engaged to Armin of the Garissa family!" Fader said.
"..." Even though Evelyn doesn’t participate in her family’s or higher beings’ politics, she quickly understood one thing.
"Are you trying to use me to create problems between those brute Asuras and the Garissa family? I understand the Garissa family part, but why would the Asura want to form this connection?" Evelyn asked.
If this really was their plan, then thinking of the arrangements they made over such a long time surprised her.
"Well, it’s nothing too complicated. They might not be as ambitious as the Garissa or others, but they cherish talent and strength, and you don’t lack either. Of course they would want you to be a part of their family, so my daughter, if given a chance, who would you want to choose?" Fader asked curiously while he held his throne protectively.
This wild daughter of his might start attacking him at any moment, you never know when she would make you see stars.
"Oh right, you have the Asura Empress’s son, right? Though it must have been quite long, I heard he is quite impressive..." Fader shut his mouth in time, seeing the unpleasant expression on his daughter’s face.
Of course Evelyn remembered that brute, all-muscle-no-brain burly man, who would fight anyone in sight.
He wasn’t as disgusting as Armin but still, not the one she loves. Unfortunately, she cannot tell her family about Vritra yet.
As it will only increase his problems.
"None. When I select someone, I will tell you and he would be far better than the two of them..." Evelyn was speaking but then noticed the suspicious look on her father’s face.
He might act like that, but he catches on quickly so she hurriedly changed her words.
"Anyway, I don’t like either of them. Your goal really is to make both sides fight huh." She returned the question to him.
"Yes, sorry to use you like that, my daughter, but it’s something your grandfather wanted. He wants to take complete control of the Garissa family and weaken the Asuras even slightly." Fader replied, not really hiding anything from her.
"Sigh Alright, play whatever games you are playing among yourselves, don’t disturb me." Evelyn turned and started walking back to her room.
But she also knew that although one could be cancelled, she would still have to be engaged to one of the two.
Based on who the winner between Armin and that brute is, it made her feel uncomfortable, but for now she can’t do anything about it.
"Bye my daughter, don’t worry, I will handle these things." From behind, Fader said, waving his hand.
Soon Evelyn was back in her room with several things in her mind.
The first issue was this fiance thing, now that both the Asuras and the Garissa are in the picture.
It will only get too troublesome. The Garissa will definitely see through all this, and she wondered what they will do then.
Putting that matter aside, Evelyn was also worried about the issue with that Evel. Why does she speak as if Evelyn was the first to steal something from her?
Or was it just the resentment all Crooked feel? That she stole her existence?
But all that could wait, the existential crisis and the fiance crisis, more important right now is...
"Watching my darling love’s matches!!"
