The Unveiling of Secret Queen
Chapter 2018: Nicholas Fuller Wants Nathalie to Enter Level 8 Laboratory, Think It Over
The VIP box fell silent for a moment.
Nicholas Fuller poured the tea into the tray, gently placed down the teacup, and didn’t rush for an answer. His sharp eyes were filled with admiration for Nathalie Quinlan: "You don’t need to answer me immediately. Go home and think it over. No hurry, I’ll wait for you. If you’re interested, let me know, and I’ll arrange it for you."
Nathalie had already regained her composure by this point. She looked at Nicholas Fuller again, with a barely noticeable frown.
The 8-level laboratory isn’t that easy to get into.
Otherwise, the Kingsleys Family would have already arranged for Zevaney Kingsley to enter.
But from what Nicholas Fuller was suggesting, he seemed to have a way to get people into the 8-level laboratory.
Was he someone from The First Research Institute?
For the first time, Nathalie felt an unfathomable sensation.
She furrowed her brows irritably, then relaxed, pressed her lips, about to say something.
However, Nicholas Fuller didn’t explain his identity further, instead smiling as he changed the topic: "What dish do you like? Today, it’s my treat, don’t be shy."
Nathalie saw that he wasn’t willing to reveal his identity and didn’t press further: "Anything’s fine for me."
"Then shall I just order randomly?" Nicholas Fuller got up, picked up the menu, and called in the waiter from the Ocean Pavilion.
When someone came in, the tense atmosphere that had previously filled the box dissipated, becoming more relaxed.
Nicholas Fuller ordered quite a few dishes.
They didn’t sit for long before the waiter from the Ocean Pavilion brought the dishes in succession, quickly filling the entire table.
Nicholas Fuller’s weathered face was full of kindness, as if he were looking at a junior, inviting Nathalie to start eating.
"Sun, the dishes here are pretty good. Give them a try."
Nathalie picked up the chopsticks in front of her, reached out to grab a piece of Crispy Fried Shrimp, and ate it slowly.
Seeing that she seemed to have forgotten about the 8-level laboratory matter he had brought up earlier, Nicholas Fuller relaxed slightly and then picked up his chopsticks to eat with her.
Having aged, he primarily focused on light food and rarely touched these high cholesterol, high sugar dishes.
Nicholas Fuller mainly accompanied Nathalie as she ate.
He ate casually, occasionally asking Nathalie where she was staying since arriving in Inderia and whether she had a place to live.
Upon learning where Nathalie was staying, Nicholas Fuller was taken aback for a moment, recalling that Nathalie was recommended to The First Research Institute by Kenzie Nabours, one of the Great Families. Not too surprised, he assumed that Kenzie Nabours had a connection with the Yandor Sect and arranged for Nathalie to stay on their turf.
He chatted with Nathalie about some matters of The First Research Institute, inadvertently revealing quite a bit of the institute’s secrets.
For example, the recent research project on semiconductors at the 8-level laboratory.
However, Nicholas Fuller simply mentioned it lightly, and upon sensing Nathalie’s lack of interest, he immediately switched topics.
He catered significantly to Nathalie’s interests.
...
An hour later.
The meal ended with everyone feeling satisfied.
It was getting late.
Nicholas Fuller looked at the time, tilted his head, and asked Nathalie: "Sun, how will you get back later? Do you need a ride?"
"No need, my friend is coming to pick me up." Nathalie just set down her chopsticks, wiped her mouth, and leaned back on the chair with a very relaxed demeanor.
She was talking about Amadeus Yancey.
During the meal, Amadeus Yancey had already messaged her.
He asked her where she was.
He was preparing to come pick her up.
"Alright." Seeing the unrestrained demeanor hidden between the girl’s brows, Nicholas Fuller couldn’t help but appreciate her again. He once again brought up the topic he mentioned earlier: "Think carefully about the 8-level laboratory matter, Sun. I’ll wait for your message."
