Treasure Hunting System: The Ocean Conquerer
Chapter 894 - 380: The Birth of New Life
The group walked over the emerald grassland, stepping on wildflowers as they slowly moved forward.
You could see the sense of novelty on their faces.
For them, drifting at sea was dull.
Without exception, They had all grown up by the sea—of course, Alka was the exception.
For them, this feeling of long-distance travel on land was far too novel.
The freshness of making haste on land kept Their mood in a very good state.
"It's said that the ship-bottle was copied from a Scepter Level Treasure, probably the first of its kind that appeared three or four thousand years ago.
But supposedly it's extremely difficult to make, and the materials are also incredibly expensive.
So it almost never circulates on the market. Even if you have money it's hard to buy, not to mention most people don't even know such a thing exists."
Lucilia sat on Alka's shoulder, giving everyone a brief explanation of the ship-bottle's origin.
The group walked across the endless green, the intertwined layers of vines underfoot making it feel not soft at all.
It was as if They were truly walking on solid ground.
Very soon They returned to the camp.
They quickly gathered and cleared away some items in the camp, then dismantled the modifications They had made to it, restoring the camp to its original appearance.
They erased all traces of Their life there.
"Time to say goodbye to this place."
After packing up, They began to leave.
"Julia? What's wrong?" Chadite looked at Julia, who seemed absent-minded and unfocused, and asked.
Hearing Chadite's question, Julia lifted her hand, spread her fingers, and felt the breeze around them.
"It's different. The Land of All Spirits is different."
At these words, Pororo said carelessly, "The Divine have all awakened, of course it's different."
"No, not that." Julia shook her head.
"The wind's direction is different, the force of the wind is different, and the space around us has become very stable."
As she spoke, she frowned, trying to feel it more carefully, searching for that familiar sensation.
"It's like… like Landmark Island, yes, that's it.
Right now the Land of All Spirits feels just like Landmark Island, the space has become very stable too."
Julia explained to the others.
Hearing this, Alka furrowed his brows.
"Give me a moment."
As he spoke, Alka's eyes suddenly went unfocused. He swapped his true body with his body in the Dream Realm.
He appeared in the Dream Realm and sensed the changes inside and out.
After about ten minutes or so,
his true and false bodies switched back, and Alka returned to reality.
As clarity returned to his eyes,
Alka looked at everyone and said, "Julia's right. The Sea of Moisture has stopped."
"Stopped? You mean the Sea of Moisture isn't drifting around everywhere like before?" Chadite asked from the side.
Alka nodded. "That's right, that's what I mean."
"Well, that is interesting."
"Forget it, let's keep moving." The Sea of Moisture was so vast that he couldn't see it all or grasp the full situation.
Thinking too much about it was pointless.
The group continued forward.
...
The journey on foot took Them a good ten-plus days.
Only then did They finally see the boundary.
And that was with Them traveling at a fairly fast pace.
"We're finally there. Walking on the road is nowhere near as comfortable as riding a ship." Looking at the blue sea in the distance, Jason complained.
Aside from the novelty of the first day, there was nothing new after that.
And They had to keep walking the whole time—far more tiring than sailing.
"Almost there, let's pick up the pace."
Alka spoke and led the group to speed up once more.
The blue sea seemed almost within arm's reach, yet They still had to travel for another half day or so before finally reaching the shore.
With a series of splashes,
after three such sounds, the three Ocean Races leapt straight into the water.
Pororo swam across the surface with abandon, then leaped up and dove back into the sea.
Even Julia and Matilda were swimming freely in the water.
"Looks like this period really had Them pent up." Chadite said with a laugh.
After all, They were of an Ocean Race, and their bodies were still different from those of ordinary humans like them.
Even though They had been conjuring water every day to moisten Their skin, compared with an environment filled with seawater, living on land for so long had indeed been far too uncomfortable.
Song rose up from beneath the sea.
It was the sound of the Sound of Dawn; the sea before them began to bubble.
As the water split apart, the Sound of Dawn broke out from below.
The entrance at the bow opened.
"No need. We won't be needing that anymore." Alka looked at the entrance and called out loudly.
A note of confusion came through the music, but it still closed the old Swallow's entrance.
The group returned to the ship via the flying vines.
They stepped onto the grassy deck of the Sound of Dawn.
"Ah, home at last." Jason shouted in delight.
The Crystal Dragon landed awkwardly on the deck, doing her best to fold her wings tight against her body.
"Ugh, I won't be able to walk around the ship anymore!" came the Crystal Dragon's vexed voice.
Everyone looked over.
After yet another Deep Sleep, Ulu Liwus's size had increased a bit too much. The deck could almost no longer provide her with space to move. 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎
At most she could rest around the flowerbeds, under the big tree.
She even had to curl up a bit and could no longer roam about as freely as she pleased.
