Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations
Chapter 1396: Mr. Trevino’s Warmth 1
She suppressed the joy in her heart, stared at the familiar profile picture, sat down on the bed edge, and carefully clicked open the message.
The message read: It’s going to get colder, remember to bring a jacket.
A seemingly simple reminder, yet it warmed her entire heart.
Holding the phone, Janelle was incredibly excited, he was showing concern for her proactively!
Happily, she quickly replied with two words: Got it.
After replying, it felt like the conversation had ended abruptly.
Indeed, there was no response from his side...
Staring at the phone screen, hoping it would ring again, hoping Trevor would send another message, but a minute passed, two minutes passed, and still silence from his side.
Sure enough, the conversation had ended abruptly.
Maybe he didn’t have other thoughts about her? Was she overthinking?
The girl pouted slightly, thinking perhaps he wouldn’t respond again?
So she put down the phone and continued tidying things, also tidying up her mood.
Trevor had just returned home from Nathan Mills, he had just unbuckled his seatbelt in the cold wind when he sent her this message.
He initially wanted to tell her that Mr. Mills was currently single.
But after some thought, such a big happy event would be better delivered face-to-face, he wanted to see her ecstatic reaction.
This is a joy he wanted to bring her personally.
So after returning home, Trevor sent her two words—Good night.
It meant he hoped she’d rest early.
Upon hearing the phone’s notification sound again, Janelle’s heart warmed, hoping it was him, yet fearing it wasn’t.
She paused her work, picked up the phone again, seeing it was his message, an indescribable joy filled her heart.
The girl’s face beamed with a sweet, radiant smile, happily replying with two words: Good night.
She finally had someone with whom she could exchange goodnight wishes.
Then, Janelle sent him a location and a voice message, "My mom and I are staying in one of my dad’s unused houses, just come here to pick me up."
Trevor replied with two words: Received.
But he had doubts, if he picks her up openly, what would her mom think? Would her mom agree to let her go with him for a week?
As Trevor reconsidered, knowing they were staying in Uncle Mills’ provided house, he realized Janelle’s mom might have compromised.
Their relationship might have eased quite a bit.
If his guess was correct, then everything would improve, and he was eased.
Trevor simply packed his things, his phone chimed with a message notification, he checked it wasn’t from Janelle.
It was a weather alert about the temperature drop, not just cooling, it’s a freeze, directly zero degrees tomorrow, snow expected.
With such cold weather...
Trevor worried about Janelle, not knowing how girls usually keep warm, only that they often dress lightly.
Moreover, the ancient town is colder than the city.
He worried about Janelle catching a cold while out with him.
Thus, after deliberating a moment, Trevor dialed Cecilia Dunn’s number.
This was his first time calling Cecilia Dunn, just finished showering, she saw his caller ID with her nerves tense!!
What happened? A call from Mr. Trevino?
She quickly answered, "Hello Mr. Trevino." Her tone cautious, wondering if there was a work blunder? Though it seemed unlikely.
"Cecilia, I’d like to ask you about something." Trevor felt no embarrassment as he asked, "How do girls usually keep warm in the winter when going out?"
