It was just barely daylight outside, not yet time to get up.

She thought she heard someone calling "Mr. Yu," thinking Yu Xiuzhun had come, which is why she was startled awake.

"Madam was busy until very late last night and only went to sleep just before dawn, so she hasn’t gotten up yet," the butler responded respectfully.

Ye Mingmei ran a hand through her hair, no longer feeling sleepy, and decided to change clothes and have breakfast in the dining room.

"Miss has forgotten, this is the medicinal herbs you brought back. It says to be taken once a day, best consumed in the morning before breakfast."

The butler reached out to remove the lid for Ye Mingmei, and a rich aroma of herbs immediately filled the dining room.
