Don't let the cover image fool you, the storytelling flows really well and the writing style is humorous and light. The plot frames each new setting immaculately without being repetitive. The characters are quirky and hilarious. 

It would be very helpful to understanding the metaphors with some knowledge of common Chinese sayings, like a boy's "little brother" and eating vinegar, etc. 

I'm only on chapter 50 so I have a long way to go. It's a slow burn but a very interesting one, I'm fully invested.  

I will update or leave a comment once I reach the end. I'm already I looking forward to reading all of the author's works once I complete this one.

Slightly slow burn, and boy when it heats up it really heats up. Good for people who like seein the evils get clowned on and the main characters slowly realizing their feelings.

Good read but became increasingly obvious that it was ai chapter139 was what made it clear to me that I wasn't crazy😩
First edit: just a question do you actually read this before you post it because there are some unnecessary words in the sentences that piss me off like for example:she was calm, too calm like what once was enough but it happens way too much 🙄 I've come to terms that you are using ai but a least edit the work don't just photocopy and paste it's actually interesting just edit it before you post it please 🤦🏾‍♀️

I'm so far more than half in and keep thinking this could easily be a e-book on amazon. This is great. Spicy, not boring, characters a bit stupid in their actions, but it keeps plot rolling. There are some more vivid descriptions of the past lacking, that would give more dept to the present characters personality and their reasoning, but so far, overall it is really enjoyable. If it was a book, it would be One sitting read for me.

I thought is was pretty good. ML was a annoying and first (tbh still is) but he tried and bettered himself. I also thought the FL was quite smart too. Balanced amount of smut and plot. Plot was good and even had a few interesting twists.

I'm dropping this after 1022 chapters. Mc keeps getting so heaven defyingly lucky at every point that you just give up. You know nothing bad is really going to happen to him ever. In fact he's probably going to find other heavenly treasure or randomly gain cultivating. The author can't seem to write female characters with any depth. His advancement in Dao and motivations are laughable. None of it seem deserved. Everything just conveniently falls onto his lap. The plot is mid. It's just bad overall. I've been forcing myself to read this cause I was too deep in but it never got better.
