"Are you joking with me?"

"Does it look like it?" Yu Xiuzhun stepped forward, pulling her into his arms, his cold and fierce eyes looking down at her.

Before Ye Mingmei could react, he picked her up and strode back to the bedroom.

Ye Mingmei tried to push him away, but Yu Xiuzhun only held her tighter.

"Be good, don’t make me angry. The dark room is very dark, you’ll be scared." Yu Xiuzhun spoke carelessly, his voice haunting, sending chills down her spine.

Ye Mingmei’s body stiffened, her hand against his chest froze suddenly.

Yu Xiuzhun lowered his head and placed a kiss on her forehead.

"It’s late, you should sleep." His arm wrapped around her waist, his hand resting on her flat stomach, holding her tightly.

Ye Mingmei lay with open eyes, turning to look at his handsome face, unable to sleep for the entire night.

"Brother, I’m here." Qin Youxuan stood up quickly from her seat and waved at Jin Chenye as he walked in from outside.

"His eyes aren’t blind, he can see from this distance." Dan Hanjie pulled her back, pushing her down onto the chair, his devilishly handsome face darkened as he glared at Jin Chenye approaching them.

"Don’t be petty at a time like this, finding Mingmei is what’s important." Qin Youxuan slapped away the hand around her waist, frowning in displeasure.

She took a sip of orange juice from the glass beside her, eagerly watching as Jin Chenye reached them.

"I ordered coffee for you, sit down and let’s talk."

"Alright." Jin Chenye glanced at Dan Hanjie, his dark eyes deep, and pulled out a chair to sit across from them.

As soon as he sat down, he went straight to the point.

"Found out, the last person who saw Mingmei on the day she disappeared was the receptionist. She clocked out from work, left the company, and didn’t return. Later, the villa’s butler found she hadn’t come home, and there was a night in between."

"So she disappeared on her way home from the company." Qin Youxuan tightened her grip on the cup, frowning, "She always had bodyguards with her, where are they?"

Qin Youxuan looked at Dan Hanjie; all of Ye Mingmei’s bodyguards were carefully selected and sent over by him.

"Vanished into thin air." Dan Hanjie set down his coffee cup, his lips slightly parted.

His enchanting eyes flashed a gleam of danger.

He knew well how skilled his men were; if it were ordinary people, they wouldn’t be easily subdued. Yet now, they all suddenly disappeared. There’s only one possibility: the other side came prepared!

Whether they’re dead or alive is still unknown, but they’ve all lost their traces.

"Other than Yu Xiuzhun, I can’t think of anyone else." Qin Youxuan bit her lip, voicing her thoughts, "But even if we suspect Yu Xiuzhun, it doesn’t help. The Yu Family Villa is heavily guarded. It’s challenging just to get in, let alone search for someone."
