Ye Mingmei walked in and touched the soft baby crib with her long fingers.

She walked to the little desk and saw a racing model placed on top of it.

There was also a card on the racing car.

"But he never got the chance..." Ye Mingmei bit her lip, looking back at the closed elevator doors and the disappearing apartment. Those two baby rooms felt like imprints etched in her heart.

"That’s fate, and it has nothing to do with you." Jin Chenye carried her out of the elevator, not allowing Ye Mingmei the chance to overthink, and headed toward the parking lot.

Just as they settled in the car, Ye Mingmei’s phone rang.

She glanced at the caller ID and, surprised, looked up at Jin Chenye, "It’s a call from Ye Family Villa."

After saying this, Ye Mingmei answered the call.

After listening for a short while, the call ended.

"What’s going on?"
