365-Day Trial Marriage With Hunk: Wife's A Little Wild
Chapter 2322: Is This Something or Nothing?
"Diwu Zexuan, are you scared?" Rui Hui stood there, not moving, blinking her enchanting eyes and weakly asked.
Diwu Zexuan’s face was very calm, showing no signs of abnormality.
But his handsome face was tense, with a hint of seriousness in his perfect features, slightly diminishing the aura of mischievousness around him.
He is a Divine Doctor, having seen all kinds of cases, yet Rui Hui had never seen a trace of nervousness in him before.
Now, his complexion was no better than hers.
"I told you, with me here, our baby will definitely be healthy." Diwu Zexuan raised his eyes slightly, a bewitching light flashing through his silver eyes.
It flashed by so quickly that it was impossible to catch. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦
The hand resting on the table silently tightened.
He couldn’t say it, nor was he willing to admit it.
He wasn’t afraid, yet there was an inexplicable trace of nervousness.
This was his child, his first, and possibly his only child.
As a doctor, he understood well the natural course of life and death; but as a father, he hoped more than anyone for his child’s safety and smoothness in life.
He was even so nervous that he worried his emotions would affect the test results, not daring to examine Rui Hui himself, only able to leave her to the team.
Now the test report was right in front of them, just a click away, yet they both hesitated.
"Let’s agree first, no matter how the baby is, we’ll keep him, alright?" Rui Hui hesitated for a second before speaking again.
Swallowing nervously, she looked at Diwu Zexuan awkwardly.
They were both doctors and knew better than anyone that knowingly bringing a flawed child into the world was itself an irresponsible act.
But every time Rui Hui thought of the baby already being in her belly for so long, she was terrified to face the outcome.
"What do you really want to say?" Diwu Zexuan raised his head, staring steadily at her.
"I... I’m just scared..."
Rui Hui lowered her head, staring at her big toe.
Her toes rubbed together, and her eyes slightly reddened.
Sometimes she really wanted to pretend that nothing was wrong and just wait for the baby to be born.
"I promise you, nothing will happen." Diwu Zexuan walked up to her, tenderly pulling her into his arms.
Through the thin fabric, Rui Hui’s belly pressed against him, and a pulse of connected bloodlines penetrated through his body.
The baby, not yet four months old, could already be felt making slight movements.
Not yet born, it was as mischievous as Rui Hui.
Diwu Zexuan’s gaze darkened, lifting Rui Hui and placing her on his office chair.
He circled her from behind, not giving her time to avoid it, moving his right hand to click on the newly received file on the computer desktop.
He skipped the detailed indicators at the beginning and went straight to the final test results.
"Development level consistent with other fetuses at the same stage, but an unclear shadow on the head area, undetermined, requires further observation."
Just as they breathed a sigh of relief at the first half, their hearts were again tightened by the latter part.
An unclear shadow...
And it was in the head area...
Rui Hui was instantly bewildered, leaning dazedly in Diwu Zexuan’s arms.
"Is this something or not? Can we keep the baby?" Rui Hui trembled as she spoke, and as soon as the words left her mouth, her eyes reddened.
