"Miss, is something wrong?" The bodyguard following Ye Mingmei noticed her unusual reaction and respectfully asked.

The two of them looked around cautiously but didn’t detect anything unusual, then looked at Ye Mingmei in confusion.

Ye Mingmei bit her lip and glanced around the crowd behind her again, "It’s nothing, maybe I’m just imagining things..."

She kept feeling as though someone was watching her from behind, but every time she turned around, that feeling would disappear.

"Mom, I want ice cream!" Little Meimei pointed at the nearby ice cream shop, looking at Ye Mingmei expectantly.

Ye Mingmei frowned and gently shook her head, "You’ve just been playing and are all sweaty, you can’t eat cold things right now. Have a glass of juice first, and when you’re not as hot, I’ll buy you ice cream."

"Okay."

Little Meimei pouted a little, nodded obediently, and followed Ye Mingmei to sit down. Immediately, a bodyguard went up to line up for juice.

Little Meimei sat at the table, propping her chin on her arm. Her big, sparkling eyes were fixed on the front and didn’t move for a long while.

At first, Ye Mingmei thought she was looking at the bodyguard buying juice, but then realized that Meimei’s gaze was on a family of three behind the bodyguard.

A little girl, about three years old, was nestled in a man’s arms, with her little arms wrapped around his neck, leaning on her dad’s shoulder. Beside them, the little girl’s mom was gently wiping the sweat off her forehead with a tissue.

The family was standing in line for juice, such an ordinary scene in the amusement park, but for Little Meimei, it was an unattainable dream.

She had never seen her father and didn’t know what he looked like... let alone having a father to accompany her to an amusement park.

Ye Mingmei’s heart tightened. Seeing the longing in her daughter’s eyes, her hand under the table involuntarily clenched into a fist.

The bodyguard quickly returned with four glasses of juice and placed them in front of Ye Mingmei.

Ye Mingmei was just about to look up when suddenly Little Meimei slipped from her arms and dashed into the crowd.

Her body went rigid for a few seconds before she snapped back to reality, quickly standing up from her seat and chasing after Little Meimei into the crowd.

She grabbed Little Meimei into her arms before standing up.

"What did you just call out?" Ye Mingmei opened her mouth, realizing her voice was trembling!

Little Meimei’s delicate face was full of urgency, "Daddy! It’s Daddy! I saw Daddy! Right there!"

Ye Mingmei’s arms tightened around Little Meimei. Following her pointing finger, she caught sight of that elegant figure in the crowd, her eyes suddenly narrowed!
