A Dragon against the Whole World
Chapter 437 - 335: Setting a Trap, Blood Kin Conspire Against Their Father
"Haha, Solrog, are you kidding? I’d lose to this Iron Pig?!"
"Mother, you might misunderstand me a bit. I will surely defeat that clueless red-scaled guy!"
After hearing the conversation between their blood relatives, Red Dragon Samantha and Iron Dragon Gordon almost simultaneously voiced their objections, then viciously glared at each other. Their sharp gazes clashed fiercely in the air, as if tangible sparks crackled from the collision.
"Fine! The first thing we’ll do when we meet in the real world is duel!"
With bared teeth and eager eyes, the two dragons reached a silent agreement the moment their gazes met, deciding that when they met in reality, they would first defeat each other in battle, then mock and insult each other mercilessly.
"I’d be happy to witness your duel when the time comes."
Galos said with a chuckle.
He was the one who initially raised the nerve-stirring question. Afterward, through the seemingly inadvertent stoking by Iron Dragon Solrog, it eventually led Samantha and Gordon to make this battle pact.
It’s hard to say whether, deep down, the Master of the Dragon Clans had a subtly mischievous intent, wanting to see some lively chaos.
After this little episode.
The expression on Galos’s consciousness gradually restrained its smile, becoming serious and solemn.
"The main reason for gathering everyone this time is to discuss a potential major threat." 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶
His gaze slowly swept across each blood relative present, finally focusing on the three young dragons aside from Letitia.
"First, let’s clarify what this threat is."
"Solrog already knows—our biological father is also currently in the Sel Wilderness."
"His name is Gorsas, nicknamed ’Mad Fire Blood Flame’ and ’Mountain-Burning Wings,’ among other titles. He’s an exceptionally powerful adult Red Dragon."
At this point, his voice paused, becoming deeper and more solemn.
"However, like you all, Solrog is unaware that our Red Dragon father is extremely dangerous. If we inadvertently encounter him, it could lead to unpredictable major trouble or even a life-and-death crisis."
"Blood relatives with shared lineage have a rather keen natural perception of each other’s existence."
"As long as we live in the same Sel Wilderness, sooner or later, an encounter is almost inevitable."
"In other words, the options before us are quite limited."
"Either we choose to leave the Sel Wilderness voluntarily, giving up everything here, or sooner or later, we must face this extremely dangerous father, with no other paths available."
He then succinctly but clearly described the current state of Red Dragon Gorsas.
His mind is eroded by mad fire, possessing strength that surpasses other Red Dragons of his age, along with extreme unpredictability and danger.
After Galos finished describing, he looked calmly at his siblings and asked, "What do you think we should do about this powerful father of ours?"
Having spoken, he remained silent, merely staring quietly at his blood relatives, waiting for their responses and insights.
Galos understood well the importance of collective brainstorming. He never thought his own ideas were flawless or without oversight.
Even if the opinions and ideas of others might not necessarily be adopted in the end, they could provide him with inspiration from different perspectives, helping to identify potential oversights.
Without a doubt, this was an excellent way to check for and correct missed gaps.
After a few seconds of silence, the only pure-blooded Red Dragon present broke the silence first.
Samantha, unconcerned, flicked her tail, creating a trail of invisible sparks.
"He’s just our biological father."
She opened her massive mouth, revealing sharp teeth. Her tone held no fear but was instead filled with unchecked excitement.
"Since it’s destined to be hard to get along with, or even potentially a disaster, let’s just treat him as an enemy! Anyway, I have no psychological burden attacking a so-called father I’ve never met."
"On the contrary—" she added, her eyes narrowing slightly, "—I feel a strange excitement at the thought of facing such a powerful father as an enemy. It feels like the flow of Dragon Blood in my veins has accelerated."
Letitia glanced sideways at this only female offspring of hers.
With her understanding of Gorsas, she was almost certain that once a fight started, the mad state of Gorsas would show no mercy to his offspring. Instead, the target’s identity might make him even more excitedly brutal.
Samantha’s straightforward attitude fully inherited the rebellious and battle-obsessed nature of the Red Dragon Bloodline.
Her thinking was, in some ways, unconsciously aligned with Gorsas’s—the apple indeed doesn’t fall far from the tree.
"My initial inclination is that perhaps an attempt at communication could be made first."
Solrog’s deep voice arose, carrying his usual calmness.
"An adult Red Dragon of such strength, if positioned as an ally, is far more valuable than as a formidable enemy."
"Regardless of anything else, an alliance relationship, founded on blood lineage as a potential bond, is typically more stable than pure interest-based cooperation between unfamiliar dragons."
He was not as easily swayed by emotions as Samantha was.
For the grand blueprint in his mind regarding the Dragon Group tribe, even a potential enemy, if there was the slightest possibility of cooperation or subjugation, Solrog would prioritize this more optimal resolution path.
