The enemies were numerous, but their side was fierce!

This exhilarated the group, and they fought with increasing vigor, not even feeling the pain from their wounds.

In contrast to the warriors who unleashed every lethal move they had, the test subjects were far more restrained.

The order they had received was to surround, not to kill. This meant they only dared to injure their opponents, not swarm and finish them off.

But their opponents fought to the death as if possessed, giving the subjects no chance to drag them away.

Whenever a Beastman fell, he was immediately carried away by a comrade while another took his place on the front line.

But the biggest problem was that bizarre, giant beast!

It was simply too ferocious. None who faced it could escape the fate of being bitten in half.

What’s more, they couldn’t even damage its hide.

Any attack that landed on its body felt like nothing more than a tickle.

Dr. A, who had been certain of victory, was no longer smiling.

Jiang Qin noticed the spaceship hovering above them and immediately understood. ’These are the masterminds!’

She immediately stopped playing her instrument and materialized an Alien Beast from the Classic of Mountains and Seas—Dafeng.

It, too, was a behemoth.

When Dafeng appeared in the sky, the ground—which had still been faintly lit—was plunged into total darkness.

Lan Yuyan quickly threw out a few field emergency lights, instantly illuminating the area as bright as day.

Only with the light could everyone finally see what had suddenly appeared in the sky.

It was an avian Alien Beast with an immense wingspan!

Though its head was obscured, everyone felt a terrifying chill, as if they were being watched by a vicious predator.

This was especially true for the Beastmen in their bestial forms; they felt the Beastman part of their very Genes trembling!

"What kind of Alien Beast is that? Is it... a test subject, too?"

No one answered him, as a sense of despair had settled over everyone.

They had the confidence to fight against the test subjects, but against this behemoth, even the thought of resistance felt futile.

But soon they heard Lan Yuyan’s shout. "Don’t panic, everyone! It’s on our side!"

On our side?

On our side!

A jolt of adrenaline shot through the crowd.

They already had one powerhouse on their side, and now they had another!

Nothing could have boosted their morale more!

Dafeng flapped its colossal wings, and a great gust of wind kicked up, causing the spaceship to rock unsteadily in the air.

Dafeng’s eyes glinted fiercely as it flapped its massive wings once more.

Suddenly, four or five tornadoes, stretching to the heavens, materialized and began closing in on the spaceship.

A look of pure horror appeared on Dr. A’s face. He shouted, "Quick, shoot that bird down!"

"Yes, sir."

The pilots decisively engaged the ship’s attack mode.

Several homing missiles launched from the ship’s flanks.

Facing the missiles, Dafeng’s expression didn’t so much as twitch. It furiously flapped its wings again, creating a gale that blew them off course.

At this point, the battle on the ground had come to a halt.

The wind was simply too strong, making it impossible for them to move normally.

The Beastman Warriors were faring better. Each remained in their bestial form, huddling together and biting onto the next warrior to hold their ground.

The test subjects, however, had no such inclination to cooperate, and many of the smaller ones were simply blown away by the gale.

Jiang Qin had already recalled the Qióngqí and was now concentrating solely on controlling Dafeng in its fight against the spaceship.

After deftly dodging the ship’s attacks and closing the distance, she immediately had Dafeng use its massive wings to swat the vessel out of the sky.

The spaceship was surprisingly durable, though. It was batted around several times and tossed about by the tornadoes for a good while, yet it still hadn’t been forced to land.

They were even trying to escape!

Jiang Qin snorted coldly and immediately directed Dafeng to ram the spaceship out of the sky.

In desperation, the spaceship fired several more missiles, but without exception, they were all blown off course by the wind.

The missiles struck the ground, blasting one deep crater after another.

’Another Alien Beast that doesn’t distinguish between friend and foe when it fights...’ Jiang Qin thought with a sigh of resignation.

’Still, I have to control Dafeng... although it seems it won’t be needed for much longer.’

The spaceship, having been rammed, had finally crashed. The people who were aboard were now evacuating.

She saw a crowd of people surrounding a young man, as well as a nutrient pod being carried.

Everyone watched them with grim expressions.

The wind had not yet died down, so swirling dust and sand obscured both sides’ view of each other.

Jiang Qin could see the rage and resentment in their eyes.

’But no matter what they’re thinking, I have no intention of letting this go.’

She materialized the Qióngqí once more to attack them, giving it the command to leave some alive.

Unfortunately, they were surrounded by far too many test subjects.

The irritable Qióngqí snapped them up one by one, but it couldn’t kill them all...

Meanwhile, Dr. A and his group had already transferred to a backup spaceship. Without a moment’s delay, they ascended into the sky, preparing to depart.

Dafeng was also swarmed by many flying test subjects, but it quickly rammed them out of the way before ascending into the sky in pursuit.

This time, the spaceship didn’t engage with Dafeng, opting for a swift escape.

But Jiang Qin gritted her teeth and ordered Dafeng to give chase immediately!
