A Low Rank Female Goes Viral Across the Galaxy
Chapter 379: Creating Scenery
The tedious audition process lasted a full ten days. Once Jiang Qin had her entire cast assembled, filming officially began.
Today, she attended the opening ceremony with Long Hao and Shi Lichuan.
As for Yun Xie, he and Lan Yuyan had both gone to attend a "Top Ten Best Dads" course.
The men took turns attending the class to ensure that after she gave birth, whoever was free would be able to take good care of her and the baby.
’It’s so great being a female in this Interstellar age!’
’All the hardships I’ve endured must have been to pave the way for the sweetness to come.’
After the group photos were taken, filming for the movie officially began.
The director she was collaborating with this time was a young male director recently recruited by the company.
He had a passion for the visual aesthetic of thrillers, so when he heard she was looking for a director for a horror film, he immediately put his name forward.
The rumor was that he was so afraid of someone else getting the gig, he’d wailed in the office of the head of the film department for two or three days before finally securing the position.
When he met Jiang Qin for the first time, he was so excited that he eagerly approached her to ask for an autograph and a photo together.
...
However, when it came to work, he was all business.
Jiang Qin, sitting beside him, was also staring nervously at the monitor.
She didn’t believe there could be a true substitute for Mr. Xing in the Interstellar age, but she hoped this actor could at least capture some of his signature style.
That’s why she was nervous; she wasn’t sure if the actor could pull it off.
...
On the monitor, a man with sunglasses and buck teeth was at a dinner table, recommending "cow tears" to everyone.
Then, exaggerated eyeshadow appeared on everyone’s eyelids.
She had changed the part of the plot where a group of people felt the chest of a passing girl in red to check for a heartbeat. Instead, they would now check for a pulse by holding her wrist.
They soon got to filming the rooftop scene.
"Cut," Jiang Qin called out, frowning.
She then walked over to demonstrate the move for the only actress on set.
"When you snatch the knife, don’t hesitate. Make it a clean, decisive movement."
The girl nodded repeatedly. "Okay."
"Alright, let’s try that again."
This time, the actress’s movement was much cleaner.
She snatched the knife, spun around, and stabbed the male lead.
Both actors then put on looks of utter shock.
This was a scene from the very beginning of the movie.
The police didn’t believe in ghosts, and likewise, they didn’t believe Ah Xing truly had the ability to communicate with spirits.
So when Ah Xing claimed he was invulnerable to blades, they just thought he was bluffing.
No matter how much Ah Xing goaded them, none of them dared to actually try and stab him.
But the female lead, Ah Qun, believed him. After all, she had actually seen the ghost of an old man in the restaurant after applying the cow tears.
That’s why she took the knife and stabbed him without a moment’s hesitation.
"Good take. Actors to makeup."
Seeing that there were no issues, Jiang Qin finally sat down, relieved.
Still, she was too worried to leave just yet.
It wasn’t until she was certain that the director truly had his own unique vision for the film’s horror aesthetic that she finally felt at ease enough to go home.

In the days that followed, she was busy once again, this time with *Journey to the West*.
Compared to the movie, filming this series was twice as difficult.
The costumes, props, and sets were all incredibly difficult to replicate.
The only thing she didn’t have to worry about was the special effects.
To portray the demons more realistically, she even cast some Half-beastmen—for example, those with Beastman features like ox heads, horse heads, or avian characteristics.
It was also because of this series that Yuan Ling gave her another machine.
"Qinqin, this is a Fantasy Painting Device I modified.
All you have to do is connect it to your Light Computer, and you can use a Holographic Cabin to enter an empty virtual space.
Then, you just need to picture the final product in your mind, and the device will create it for you."
Jiang Qin was incredulous. "Just the one machine can do all that? I don’t need to use my spiritual power to render the details?"
"Nope. You only need to visualize the complete object for it once, and it can replicate it perfectly."
Creating holographic scenery in the Interstellar age had never been this simple.
Anyone who’s played a base-building game knows the mind-numbing pain of assembling things block by block.
It requires a massive amount of time and energy, using designs to assemble castles or gardens, one block at a time.
It was the same for Interstellar holographic scenery.
An operator had to use their spiritual power to construct it, step by step.
Normally, that amount of work would be handled by an entire team.
If someone chose to do it alone, even a crude and simple map would take an enormous amount of time.
This was why Jiang Qin preferred to use her Superpower to create the scenery in real life first, and then record a copy of it.
But Yuan Ling was saying this machine could do it all on its own!
Good thing no one on the outside knew about it; otherwise, people would be fighting tooth and nail for something like this.
A faint smile played on Yuan Ling’s lips. "I thought you could really use something like this, so I gave it a shot.
I didn’t expect I’d actually be able to build it."
"Thank you!" Jiang Qin stepped forward and threw her arms around his neck, hugging him.
"I love it."
’But what truly made her happy was the thought behind it.’
’And now she had an explanation for the outside world as to how she could create her sets so quickly with her Superpower.’
As for her family, they were mostly aware that she had the ability to summon miraculous Alien Beasts, they just didn’t know the specifics.
Jiang Qin never explained, and they never pressed her for details. They all tacitly agreed to let the secret stay buried.
’After all, a secret isn’t a secret anymore if too many people know about it.’

With the new machine, Jiang Qin quickly finished creating some of the sets for *Journey to the West*.
For most of them, however, she still materialized them with her Superpower, then recorded them to create a perfect one-to-one copy saved in holographic format.
A smaller portion was created by the machine.
Combining the two methods, she finished creating all the scenery in just one week.
As for the director, Lan Yuyan had already found one for her.
She was a very famous female director from the Federation.
Now 178 years old, she had been in the directing industry for 150 years and had won countless awards, both big and small.
By now, she was a world-renowned director.
At her level of prestige, she was difficult to sway with money. She wouldn’t take a project unless it was based on an exceptionally promising script.
The last project she’d helmed was already a decade ago.
So when Lan Yuyan managed to get her on board, Jiang Qin was both surprised and a little worried. "What did you offer her? Were there any difficult conditions?"
Lan Yuyan gently stroked her head. "Don’t worry, I only agreed to the standard compensation.
The reason Mrs. Yin agreed is that she’s very interested in the script for *Journey to the West*.
Or rather, she’s extremely interested in ancient mythology in general."
"Really? You’re sure you’re not hiding anything from me?"
"Of course. I swear!
I will never hide anything from you or deceive you!"
Seeing Lan Yuyan resort to making a vow, Jiang Qin grew embarrassed and quickly covered his mouth.
"As long as you’re not hiding anything, it’s fine. I was just worried you’d secretly promised some unreasonable compensation behind my back."
’That was definitely something she could see her partners doing.’
’They were all masters of reporting the good news while hiding the bad.’
