A Low Rank Female Goes Viral Across the Galaxy
Chapter 476 - 474: Prison Star Criminals
Jiang Qin forgot Bai Ruo’s two sentences the moment she heard them, paying them no mind at all.
Lately, she had been busy working on her album.
Although she hadn’t debuted as a professional singer, she still wanted to release a couple of albums, mainly to compile her songs.
After all, releasing songs one at a time whenever the mood struck, while enjoyable, was indeed a bit too slow.
That’s why she was preparing to release an album or two to compile her work.
So, she recently went into seclusion to record her music.
It seemed she was the only one who remained calm amidst the short-form drama storm brewing outside. Even the men in her house had recently started watching them.
This was especially true for Cang Hong. He would complain about the shows but watch them without even blinking. And as if that wasn’t enough, he even roped in Shi Lichuan and Yuan Ling, who had just returned from off-planet.
Neither of them minded; one watched for entertainment, while the other just zoned out and followed along.
"Damn, who wrote this show? Isn’t this a bit over the top?"
Cang Hong was baffled, his eyes glued to the screen.
"Can a female really give birth to seven babies at once, each with a different father?"
Yuan Ling: ’...I don’t know, but the thought is kind of terrifying.’
Shi Lichuan felt the same. After imagining the scenario, he quickly glanced at Zhaozhao a few more times, using his daughter’s adorable face to banish the horrifying image from his mind.
"But even if that were possible, I wouldn’t want it. Zhaozhao is enough for us. With more kids, I wouldn’t have any time to spend with Qinqin."
Yuan Ling agreed. "I don’t want that either."
He felt nothing for his mother and father, so he had no desire for descendants, much less to pass on his Genes.
Shi Lichuan hesitated for a moment. "I’m fine either way. If Qinqin wants to have more children, we can. If she doesn’t, then we won’t."
’We have Zhaozhao, after all.’
His mother, father, and uncles all adored Zhaozhao.
Every day, they had him take photos and videos of Zhaozhao to send to the family group chat.
So, he felt he didn’t really have a strong preference; it mainly depended on what Jiang Qin wanted.
’Still, seven kids from one birth, one for each dad... that would certainly save some trouble.’
’How could anyone’s imagination be that wild?’
None of the three could understand.
But if they thought of it in terms of animals, they could understand. After all, many animal species choose multiple partners when in heat.
Although they were Beastmen and had beast forms, they were still more human in many respects, so it was naturally impossible for them to do something as exaggerated as having seven or eight cubs in a single litter.
After finishing *Septuplets from One Birth, Doted on Nightly*, Cang Hong clicked on the next show.
The scene opened with a hard slap across a face. The sound was so crisp that even the viewers could feel their own cheeks sting.
Yun Xie, sitting nearby, was busy with his own work on his Light Computer.
He wasn’t the type to just live off his savings, so even though he stayed home every day, he was still earning money.
Zhaozhao was sitting in her crib, playing with her little toys.
The toys were made by Yuan Ling. They were a few yellow Stars with various expressions that flew in circles around her, encouraging Zhaozhao to reach out and grab them.
Everyone in the house had their own things to do, and every day was just as harmonious.
...
Meanwhile, on Prison Star, Mo Chen had just finished a battle.
He took off his blood-stained Combat Suit and stood under the showerhead, washing away the stench of blood.
A riot had just broken out in the prison. A few inmates had incited the unrest, hoping to use the chaos to escape. He had gone to quell the riot and killed several of them.
But he knew this riot was merely a probe.
The ones who truly wanted to escape were other people entirely.
Once he was cleaned up and composed, he could finally breathe a sigh of relief. He then opened a communication link to Yun Xie.
"Is Qinqin busy?"
"Yes, she’s recording songs," Yun Xie replied calmly.
"Then I’ll contact her when she’s free."
Afraid of disturbing Jiang Qin while she worked, Mo Chen always contacted Yun Xie or one of her other partners first.
After a brief rest, he changed back into his Combat Suit and went to patrol the prison.
Patrols for the common criminals were handled by other guards; he was responsible for the area housing S-level and higher convicts.
As he opened the small hatch to deliver the nutrient liquid, a massive claw shot out from inside, trying to strike him.
Mo Chen calmly retracted the robotic arm, ignoring the BANG BANG BANG of something hitting the door from inside, completely unfazed by the beastly roars.
To help calm these volatile criminals, the area had been fitted with numerous surround-sound speakers.
The speakers played Jiang Qin’s songs every day.
While it couldn’t directly lower their Riot Value, it was still very effective at calming them down.
Take the criminal in Cell 3, for example.
As he passed the nutrient liquid through, a pleasant and gentle voice sounded from within.
"Sir, could you play ’Lonely Brave’?"
"I can," Mo Chen replied coolly. After a few taps on his Light Computer, the speakers began to play the version of "Lonely Brave" that Qi Huaixuan had sung in the semi-finals.
"If possible, I’d like to hear ’Wild Child’ next, followed by ’Dream as Horse,’ and it would be great if you could also play ’Along the River During the Qingming Festival’..."
Mo Chen, the human jukebox: "..."
Still, he usually granted small requests like this.
After all, barring any unforeseen circumstances, the criminals in this section would be locked up here until they died.
The reason they weren’t executed was because of their special abilities.
The Federation still had use for them, so every so often, someone would come to take them away for a month or two before bringing them back.
As for the means of control, it was the collar around their necks, which had already fused with their flesh and blood.
It was also because of their abilities that their cells only appeared unremarkable on the surface.
The interior was actually a small apartment. While not luxurious, it had all the necessities and was much better than the cells of other criminals.
It even included a gym and a Holographic Cabin for playing offline games.
Next, Mo Chen arrived at Cell 4.
A lazy voice drifted out from inside. "Sir, I’d like to try a new flavor of nutrient liquid today."
Mo Chen obliged, switching it out for a milk-flavored nutrient liquid.
The criminal in Cell 5 was more volatile; the robotic arm was instantly melted when he inserted it.
When he reached Cell 10, Mo Chen’s calm expression became particularly grim.
The criminal imprisoned here was the one he was primarily responsible for guarding.
If the prisoner weren’t restrained, with his own power, Mo Chen would be no match for them.
And what he delivered to Cell 10 wasn’t a single bottle of nutrient liquid, but three boxes.
This was because the small hatch on this door could only be opened once every three months, and only on a specific, designated day.
This particular day, which came once every three months, was the inmate’s period of weakness. Only by opening the hatch today could he avoid the risk of the prisoner blasting the door right open.
Mo Chen completed the drop in just three seconds. There was no movement from within.
It was as if no one was there...
Seeing that there was no incident, he quietly breathed a sigh of relief.
However, the instant he turned to leave, a piercing shriek erupted from behind the door.
