Little Dun Fairy approached, her gaze fell on King Li, who was struggling to crawl, revealing a look of confusion.

Uncertain of her decision, she temporarily spared King Li. She came here also to consult Chen Shi about whether to pursue King Li, only to unexpectedly encounter him again.

Chen Shi, Yang Bi, and Little Dun Fairy all fell silent, watching King Li continue to crawl, saying nothing.

After a moment, Chen Shi spoke calmly: "Brother, where are you headed?"

King Li's body stiffened, he paused, ceasing his crawl.

"Escaped the wolf pack, only to fall into the tiger's den. It seems my journey is cursed, doomed to misfortune. Very well, very well, I'd rather die with dignity."

He struggled to sit up, maintaining his composure, and said with a wry smile, "I implore Heavenly King Chen to grant me a swift end!"

Chen Shi expressed surprise: "Why say this, Brother? Brother, you came here under the Great Heavenly Venerate's orders, yet encountered rebellious Immortal Court on your journey, unfortunately suffering grave injuries, but were saved by my wife, preserving your life."

King Li was slightly stunned, puzzled: "I was injured by rebellious Immortal Court?"

Chen Shi nodded gravely: "The Immortal Court has ambitions like wolves, masquerading as bandits, rampaging through Elder Province to eliminate key ministers of the Great Heavenly Venerate, ambushing you and falsely blaming Golden Turtle Island, sowing discord between our rulers and subjects with malicious intent! Upon hearing of your peril, Golden Turtle Island immediately dispatched Yan Zhibei, Wen Ting, Bian Liu'er, Bai Jingming, and other experts to aid you."

Hearing this, King Li tentatively said: "Then, these Golden Turtle Island experts must be remarkably righteous individuals, fighting fiercely despite numerous difficulties and dangers."

Chen Shi's expression turned solemn: "They fought bravely, shedding blood in combat, sustaining hundreds of injuries yet disregarding death, continuously fighting to rescue the Heavenly Court Envoy and ensure the Great Heavenly Venerate's command reached Golden Turtle Island."

King Li silently nodded, then looked at Little Dun Fairy: "So, I was saved by your wife?"

Little Dun Fairy was at a loss and looked to Chen Shi.

Chen Shi hurriedly stepped forward to support King Li: "Brother, do not be like this; it shames us! We are all serving the Heavenly Court with loyal and righteous hearts, rescuing Brother is a duty; there's no need for this."

King Li rose with assistance, seeking advice: "The life-saving kindness of your virtuous couple and Golden Turtle Island is forever unforgettable by me. How should I repay Golden Turtle Island's favor?"
