Rhein City.

Commander Flegain of the Guard Division is assigning tasks to his subordinates.

Flegain, sitting at the head position, said to his subordinates: "As required by the General Staff, our Guard Division will draw the majority of our forces from stations around Rhein City, New Frankfurt City, Lusaka City, and other locations for participation in this military parade. Due to the special circumstances of the Guard Division, our troops and the brother units of the Central Military Region will be the main forces in this parade."

After the relocation of the capital, the East African military regions were also adjusted from the original Western Military Region and Central Military Region into the Central Military Region, Eastern Military Region, and three Western Regions.

Meanwhile, the original Nile River Military Region and Northern Military Region were reorganized into the Northwest Military Region and Northeast Military Region, with the Southern Military Region remaining largely unchanged.

The renaming of the Nile River Military Region is significantly related to its jurisdiction, including the Azande Plateau, Nile River Basin, and other areas, so the name "Nile River Military Region" was obviously no longer suitable.

Based on its location, the name "Northern Military Region" would be more appropriate, but since there was already a Northern Military Region in East Africa, the locations of the two regions were hence combined to form the Northwest Military Region and Northeast Military Region.

As a result, the number of military regions across East Africa increased from the previous five to six, with the additional Eastern Military Region evolving from what was originally the Central Military Region centered around First Town City.

Large areas in the east of the Western Military Region were merged into the Central Military Region. Similarly, the Southwestern Province (Namibia) was placed under the jurisdiction of the Western Military Region, as were the coastal areas of Angola, which East Africa acquired from Portugal, so the Western Military Region's jurisdiction wasn't weakened.

The new Central Military Region includes the Central Province (capital Rhein City), Mitomba Province, Hessen Province, Swabia Province, Okavango Province, Hohenzollern Province, Bohemia Province, Tete Province, Salzburg Province, Soron Lake Province, Lunda Province, and Kaisai Province, totaling twelve provinces (Eastern and Southern Congo, the entire territory of Zambia, Western Tanzania, most of Zimbabwe, Malawi, Mozambique, Botswana, and parts of Angola).

"The total number of troops participating in this parade is over eight thousand, and the invited guests include diplomats from various countries. If any of you embarrass us, I will make sure you understand what the consequences are!" Flegain said, almost through gritted teeth.

He knocked on the table and said: "For this exercise standard, my requirement is that we must not be inferior to other units, given that the Guard Division is a garrison unit, the Imperial Guard, which represents our country's army's image. We invest so much military budget every year, so in any case, we must meet the standards of the strongest military in terms of appearance."

Although Flegain said so, other East African units might not agree that the Guard Division is the strongest military force in East Africa.

Undoubtedly, the Guard Division's military expenditure ranks first among the army, but the Guard Division's composition is like an army, while other East African units have less than half of East Africa's forces, especially after many East African militaries downsized following the South African War.

However, from a combat strength perspective, all East African units refuse to concede superiority to others, particularly the elite units in each military region, especially those that performed outstandingly in the South African War.

Although the Guard Division also participated in the South African War, by the time they joined, it was already at the end of the war, hence their achievements didn't receive recognition from other units.

Of course, Flegain couldn't address the doubts of other units. Although it's true that the Guard Division had few achievements, the fundamental reason for their absence during the entire South African War was to ensure the security of First Town City.

During that time, East Africa had to constantly guard against a potential surprise naval attack from the British Royal Navy, and First Town City was less than eighty kilometers from the Indian Ocean; therefore, the Guard Division couldn't act rashly. Only in the later stages of the South African War was it possible for the Guard Division to allocate forces to participate in the south.

"The parade ceremony will be held in front of the Central Government building on National Avenue. From April 27th, we will officially begin the rehearsal process, so we only have two months to conduct targeted training. Each unit should select soldiers with suitable appearance and height to form the parade formations."

"The parade formations are divided into thirty-two formations, with the infantry formation being twenty-five by fourteen plus two, including two leads. Our Guard Division is primarily responsible for the infantry formations, with six of these under the Guard Division."

This is also the parade formation specification of a Great Power in a past life. Naturally, for this parade ceremony, East Africa still needs to restrain itself to prevent the military reform situation from being leaked.

Thus, the primary composition of this parade ceremony is the infantry formations, complemented by some cavalry, artillery, and naval units. The artillery formations, as the main equipment demonstration unit, will not be paired with vehicles to tow artillery, but will continue to use horses as the primary means of towing.

Similarly, the air force and armored units, as well as rapid response units, will not be participating in this parade ceremony as these are considered core secrets of East African military reform.

Even though the East African air force and armored units have not yet formed, they have the capability to display one or two planes and tanks in the parade ceremony.

Flegain went on to say: "This means our Guard Division will need to produce two thousand one hundred twelve personnel, accounting for nearly twenty-five percent of the total number of parade troops, illustrating the importance placed by the central and general staff on our Guard Division, and not allowing anyone to hold our Guard Division back, understood?"

"Yes, Commander!" The subordinate officers of the Guard Division promptly assured.

"By April, all parade troops must be assembled. In April, they will train in the western suburbs. By the end of April, they'll rehearse on National Avenue, and on May 1st, they'll officially participate in the parade ceremony. Go back and get ready, meeting adjourned!" Flegain announced.

While the Guard Division was preparing, other units of the Defense Army were also getting ready for the founding ceremony. The Central Military Region units (the Guard Division also belongs to the Central Military Region), East Military Region's 221st Division, South Military Region's 312th Division, West Military Region's 411th, Northeast Military Region's 511th Division, and Northwest Military Region's 631st Division will all participate, comprising essentially the main forces of each military region.

After the military region adjustments, the numbering of all East African units also changed. The Central Military Region begins with 1, the East Military Region (formerly Central Military Region) is 2, the South Military Region is elevated to 3, the West Military Region remains 4, the Northeast Military Region (formerly Northern Military Region) is downgraded to 5, and the Northwest Military Region (formerly Nile River Military Region) is downgraded to 6.

The numbering of military regions somewhat reflects the importance of East African territorial areas, with numbers 1 to 4 undoubtedly being the most important, and 5 and 6 slightly less so.

The South Military Region changed from its original number 5 to 3, not only because of the integration of Mozambique coastal regions but also because its resources are the richest in East Africa. The southern part also has the British South African colony, a segment that requires caution, while in Madagascar Island, the French must be guarded against (in reality, it should be the South African colony and French Madagascar Island colony being wary of East Africa).

In this parade ceremony, the only cavalry unit participating is provided by the 221st Division. Although East Africa has already begun forming armored units, it still needs time, so there remains a significant cavalry force temporarily preserved in East Africa.

As for the naval parade units, there's little to pay attention to since it's impossible for the navy to sail warships to Rhein City. Only a small number of personnel will form a walking formation.

Meanwhile, the Ferdinand Naval Academy and Heixinggen Military Academy among other East African military schools will also send faculty and students to form walking formations for this event. These two schools are the cradles of East African land and naval command personnel, representing the future of the East African military.

This essentially constitutes the main force of the East African military system participating in the parade. Besides reviewing East Africa's military strength, other activities will certainly be organized, given that the founding ceremony includes not only the parade ceremony but also the coronation, this critical juncture.
