After Giving Birth, All My Beast Ex-Husbands Suddenly Want Me Back - Chapter 222: Missed something important
Nina looked at Aviel, about to ask, but he spoke first.
"Nina, get some proper rest tonight. The bonding can wait."
Though he had longed for it, he cared more about her well-being.
Nina glanced at his powerful, imposing frame, then nodded. "Alright. I’ll sleep with the babies tonight. Mino and Odian can stay with me."
She really was tired. In the dungeon, she had only slept in brief, restless intervals. She needed real rest, or she might not be able to keep up.
These males...in certain aspects, they were overwhelmingly strong.
She looked back at Aviel. "Tomorrow night, then."
It wouldn’t be fair to make him wait too long. And Dian was still after him in line.
Tomorrow, she would get the map and plan things out. The night after should be fine.
Aviel’s eyes lit up. "Alright."
Tomorrow night. He would prepare properly.
Mino was equally delighted. It had been days since he last slept beside her.
Odian’s lips curved faintly.
The other mates were reluctant to leave. "Rest well, Nina. Our rooms are right next door. Call us if you need anything."
If those two didn’t take good care of her, they could always step in.
Odian raised a brow. "That’s enough. We’ll take care of her. Stop lingering and let her sleep."
With them here, there was no need for anyone else.
Sal and the others shot him silent looks of annoyance before turning back to Nina.
"Nina, we’ll head out first."
"Alright," she said with a soft smile.
They left, while Odian and Mino stayed behind, settling down with Nina and the babies.
As Sal returned to his room, his gaze flicked toward Yanai’s room across the way.
Doubt stirred in his mind.
After a moment’s hesitation, he turned and went to find him.
Aviel and the others followed.
Yanai opened the door and saw them. "What do you want?"
"I have something to ask you," Sal said.
Yanai glanced at them before stepping aside to let them in.
"What is it?"
"We want to know...did you go to Sin Beast City about half a year ago? Did anything happen there?" Sal asked.
Yanai’s guard immediately rose.
Why were they asking this?
Had they pieced something together from Zena’s words?
But she had already admitted she lied. Then why bring this up again?
His eyes flickered. "No. I didn’t go."
He had no intention of letting them know.
"Are you sure?" Aviel stared at him sharply.
"I’m sure," Yanai replied calmly. "Why would I go there?"
The males exchanged glances, relief flashing across their faces.
Good.
If he hadn’t gone, then he definitely wasn’t Shushu’s father.
One less rival to deal with.
A smile tugged at Sal’s lips as he patted Yanai’s shoulder. "Good. That place really doesn’t suit you."
The mountains suit you better.
Aviel lifted a brow and patted his other shoulder. "Exactly. You made the right choice."
You just missed Nina.
Finch added casually, "Yes. Best stay away from that place."
That’s where Nina was.
Dian leaned back, silently observing, amusement flickering in his eyes.
This wolf really had no idea what he had missed.
From today’s conversation alone, he had already pieced together most of it.
Yanai frowned slightly as he watched them.
Something felt off.
Why did it feel like they were relieved that he hadn’t gone to Sin Beast City?
That thought stirred an inexplicable irritation in him.
Impatient, Yanai said, "Are you done asking? If you are, leave. I’m going to sleep."
"Oh, we’re done," Sal replied with a smile. "Sleep well."
At least he would be sleeping very well tonight.
"Brother, sweet dreams."
Aviel gave Yanai’s shoulder another pat before leaving in high spirits.
The others followed, each returning to their rooms.
Yanai stood there, staring at the closed door, a strange sense of loss settling in his chest.
For some reason, he felt as though he had missed something important.

The next day.
Nina was having breakfast while Sal handed her a peeled egg. "Nina, I asked Yanai last night. He said he didn’t go to Sin Beast City half a year ago."
Nina blinked in surprise.
Had he gone and asked directly?
Still, that was good. At least it confirmed they had overthought things.
She nodded. "Alright."
Odian and Mino exchanged knowing looks.
So it really wasn’t him.
After breakfast, Nina went to Zena’s place.
Hearing that Nina had arrived, Zena quickly came out to greet her.
"Nina, I’ve finished the map you asked for. Come see if it works?"
She led Nina into the hall and brought out the map she had stayed up all night to draw.
Spreading it out, she said, "Take a look. I’m not sure if I did it right—it’s my first time drawing something like this."
She pointed to different shapes as she explained, "The houses follow what you showed me yesterday. This represents underground, and these are the rooms below..."
She went through everything in detail.
Nina lowered her head, listening carefully as she studied the map.
A flicker of surprise crossed her eyes.
Zena had done an excellent job. It was detailed, clear, and intuitive.
After a long explanation, Nina had fully absorbed the layout.
"Zena, this is really well done. Thank you," Nina said sincerely.
Zena flushed slightly at the praise. "You taught me well yesterday. I just hope it helps."
Nina actually praised her...
"It will. This is very useful," Nina said.
"That’s good." Zena smiled, relieved.
Then she looked at the map again, thoughtful. "Nina, Yosan will definitely know you’ve been coming here. If we want to mislead him, I may need some of your males to cooperate with me later."
Nina nodded. "No problem. I’ll let them know."
"I’ll tell him the mission is going smoothly, make him lower his guard," Hu Ji said.
"Alright. I’ll take this back and discuss the plan with my mates. I’ll contact you later."
Nina carefully folded the map.
"See you later."
"See you."
With a small wave, Nina left.
Zena watched her go, a faint spark of hope rising in her heart.
—
After returning, Nina immediately began planning how to infiltrate the City Lord’s residence.
Meanwhile, Aviel was in the kitchen preparing snacks for her.
Viann came running in, beaming. "My lord, Pado and Taor have returned."
