All Heavenly destiny reduced to ashes
Chapter 1644 - 2: Eager Return
Nian Quan always doesn’t know how to manage these Hundred Forms of the Red Furnace.
These beings from An Jing—or rather, what can be considered beings—actually have no self-awareness, at least not until they complete a fusion with a person.
They resemble more of a... pure natural phenomenon.
Fire burns, water flows, earth supports, metal condenses, wood grows... and the Hundred Forms of the Red Furnace integrate the Five Elements, recycling all the naturally dissipated spirit dust in the world, and enriching it to become their growing spiritual material.
Either Pure Steel, Glazed Dew, Evergreen Wood, or Original Soil... even those with Li Fire as the body of the Hundred Forms of the Red Furnace exist.
Initially, they appear to be like slime molds or Tai Sui, and upon growing to a certain size, they evolve into different forms based on the enriched spirit dust.
However, if they do not fuse with an intelligent being and gain a self, even at their growth limit, the Hundred Forms of the Red Furnace would be only a chaotic spirit fiend aggregate with no eyes, mouth, or seven apertures. Upon reaching the limit, they enter a dormant state, becoming the Earth Vein Spirit Slaughter Central of a region, thus turning that region into a Spiritual Vein Blessed Land.
Even to the extent of... becoming a small cave sky.
And within this Cave Heaven, new, similar small Hundred Forms of the Red Furnace would be nurtured.
Consuming energy, they reassemble matter and energy in chaos into new spiritual materials, even generating a new autonomous cycle system. Like ordinary life, the Hundred Forms of the Red Furnace are in essence akin to "void behemoths," they are the progeny of the world itself.
In other words, the Hundred Forms of the Red Furnace need to parasitize the world or devour its remnants to achieve ideal growth; they too need to consume the world’s energy to exist, accelerating the world’s chaos, heralding an end.
But here’s the problem.
The Hundred Forms of the Red Furnace are not other people’s creations; they are An Jing’s creation, who comprehended the Spirit Path, created his Perpetual Motion Machine, and opened the Gate of All Wonders.
The Hundred Forms of the Red Furnace possess some qualities of the Perpetual Motion Machine.
Precisely because the Hundred Forms of the Red Furnace have no self and are inherently close to the ’heavens,’ if they receive permission from the local Heavenly Dao, they can connect with the Heavenly Dao, obtain the reverse time order ability, open the Gate of All Wonders, thus reversing entropy for the entire world, extending its lifespan, and restoring the world’s damage.
Undoubtedly, the Hundred Forms of the Red Furnace, worthy of being co-created by An Jing, the founder of the Huai Xu Heavenly Dao and the Pocket World Technique, are truly the children of heaven and earth, naturally aligning with Heaven’s Will.
If An Jing could become an existence on the same level as the Huai Xu Heavenly Dao, then the Hundred Forms of the Red Furnace would be his ’Ancestral Dragon.’
However, the current situation is rather complicated.
When the Embracing the Void Tianyuan entered the Great Wilderness, and An Jing also left, the Hundred Forms of the Red Furnace cannot enter the world.
Lacking support from the Heavenly Dao, unable to complete the Gate of All Wonders, they have also entirely lost their constraints—originally, the Hundred Forms of the Red Furnace, which should have transformed into the Earth Vein’s core upon growing to a certain limit, cannot find their condensation point and therefore can indefinitely disperse in the Great Void.
And the Great Wilderness Realm, due to constantly attracting remnants of other worlds, has given the Hundred Forms of the Red Furnace the conditions to grow rapidly without needing the Gate of All Wonders.
The result is what we see now.
In the Great Void, at the edge of the Heaven and Earth Membrane of the Great Wilderness Realm.
Sitting on the sheath of his long sword, with his elbow on his thigh supporting his cheek, Sword Monarch’s bright blue eyes lowered, like a deep, glowing ocean, he somewhat worriedly gazes at the gray writhing around a massive black void in front of him.
The Great Wilderness Realm, the first Great Void Abyss.
At the edge of the largest wound in the Great Wilderness Realm pierced by multi-world Heavenly Demons throwing small worlds, the First Void Abyss where nothing exists, there still flows pitch-black flames, like blood.
Encircling the edge of this wound, desperately trying to cover it, is a colossal silver-gray existence, licking the world’s blood.
Crouching at the edge of the Heaven and Earth Membrane, the enormous, silver-gray giant is shrouded under clouds of the same color, which appears like a giant opaque gel stuck to the world’s wound.
But the eyes of the Heavenly River Sword Monarch can clearly discern that the essence of the giant is a series of rings moving and operating, a majestic machine body. It presents a semicircular shape, grinding gears inside constantly crushing the world’s blood—a matter entity nearly akin to Tai Shi Yuan Evil—and then restores these crushed and recycled materials back into colorless strands of spacetime, weaving them bit by bit to fill the vast surface of the Great Void Abyss layer, which could contain hundreds of celestial bodies.
In the operation of this majestic machine body, its smooth external structure, rather, is as changeable as water. Metallic towers directly connecting to the void continuously protrude on the surface of that liquid silver ocean, much like magnetofluid, much like iron dust being attracted by a magnet, constantly erecting and dissipating.
Honestly, it looks very much like a silver sea urchin.
But how can sea urchins compare to it? These metal protrusions, towers, or tendrils seemingly wriggle instinctively, but in reality, they are attempting to seek something.
Just like now, a fragment of the world, a dissolving spacetime fracture in the void, is attracted by the Great Wilderness Realm, and the colossal being senses it, extending its tendrils without hesitation, the silver-gray protrusions rapidly morph, extending to grasp this remnant of the world, and then swallow it into its body.
