Chapter 34: Taga was the Boar Alpha’s name

Soon, Hana soaked her feet. It was so relaxing that she felt her tensed shoulders ease.

While she soaked her feet, Hana ate the roasted meat in silence. She was so hungry she didn’t even care that the meat was slightly charred or that the spices did not reach every single part of it, especially the center of the meat.

Raiden was a bit nervous he would get scolded, but he was glad when she ate without a single complaint, passing her the water to drink as well.

"By the way, Raiden," Hana finally spoke and all nine tails behind him stood on edge.

"Y-yes, Great Female?" He answered, and she narrowed her eyes.

"I told you not to call me that tacky name and call me by my name," she hissed and he gulped.

"Yes, Hana," he responded, his ears flat against his head and then she sighed.

They made it look like she was the one bullying them when she was suffering so badly because of them.

"Where did you get a new skirt wrap?" She asked, looking at what he wrapped around his waist. He looked down as well and then raised his head.

"I took it from one of the lizard’s stocks," he answered. "I couldn’t possibly be going around with you wearing leaf wraps, right?"

"Hm, yes, you’re right," Hana said as she licked her fingers. She might have to make clothes for them as well.

It felt embarrassing leaving her men to wear these crude materials around their waist like their mate wasn’t capable enough to get them something better.

If I get my hands on decent material, even though not indestructible like the one I’m wearing, it should be better than some crude hide.

That was her plan, but she would only do so if they remained good boys.

Once her stomach was full, the exhaustion hit her once again, and she knew she needed to rest. She would close her eyes and regain the strength she had lost all through the night. Thankfully, her body recovery was good thanks to being bonded with these two.

She may not be in too shape in three hours, but it would definitely be better than how wrecked she was at present.

Hana lay back on the furs, her eyes heavy.

"I’m going to sleep," she muttered. "If anyone wakes me, I’m going to kill them." She threatened and then closed her eyes.

"I’ll help you relax so you can enjoy your sleep," Raiden said and moved to her head, his slender fingers expertly massaging her temples to soothe her headache.

At her feet, Caspian—the supposed King of the Forest—crouched down, his huge, warm hands gently kneading the arches of her feet.

This massage was the icing on top of the cake for her exhausted state, and she completely dropped into the jaws of sleep.

By the time she woke up, the sun was high in the sky. It was noon.

Her eyelashes flickered, and she found Raiden smiling at her, his tails swirling behind her.

"You’re awake, Hana," he said gently and Hana looked down to find that the entire place was clean and no longer smelled like semen and sweat.

The boars must’ve cleaned while she was asleep. And they cleaned so quietly she did not twitch in her sleep.

She could only wonder, given Caspian was overseeing it, how quiet had the place been? 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮

Well, it didn’t matter now. She had a good sleep, felt a lot more refreshed and her neck didn’t feel so sore anymore.

She brushed her hand through her brown hair, flipping it behind her, and then looked up with just her eyes. Both males were staring at her.

"What?" She asked.

"Nothing," Raiden chirped, his eyes crinkling as he watched the way she stretched. "You just looked... peaceful. For once."

Caspian didn’t say a word. He just stood there, his golden eyes tracking the movement of her throat as she swallowed. He looked like a man who had narrowly escaped a death sentence and was now trying to figure out how to stay on the judge’s good side. He reached out, offering a steady hand to help her up from the furs.

Hana took it, testing her weight. Her thighs still felt a bit like jelly, and there was a lingering ache deep in her core, but she could walk. Her dignity was mostly back in place.

"The Boars are waiting by the entrance," Caspian rumbled, his voice low and unusually disciplined.

Hana nodded her head. "Then it seems everyone is ready. Good. Let’s move. I’ve wasted enough of the day already."

As they stepped out of the cave, the bright noon sun made Hana squint.

The Boar Alpha bowed so low his snout touched the dirt. He had learned his lesson and knew not to offend Hana, becoming the most loyal vassal if he did not want to end up like the boars they ate in the past.

"What is your name?" Hana finally asked. She could not keep calling him boar Alpha since it was rather inconvenient.

The boar alpha’s eyes widened. He did not expect her to ask. Even Caspian never asked him for his name and just called him the head servant.

But she bothered.

This made him feel a little touched.

"My name is Taga, great female." He said and the system window chimed.

> [BONUS REWARD FOR BEING GOOD: 1000 points]

> [CURRENT BALANCE: -1,188,380]

Bonus Reward? But I didn’t do anything though. She couldn’t tell why she got a reward but she would take it anyway.

"Right, Taga, is the place we are heading to far?" She asked.

"It is just beyond the ridge," he pointed over the plateau. "We shall surely get there before the sun sets."

Ah, that means it’s indeed far.

"Alright then, Taga, lead the way." She said and he nodded.

Taga immediately began leading them toward the jagged rock formation in the distance, explaining the various paths of the Emerald Forest.

Raiden bounded ahead, his nine tails flicking with energy as he pointed out shortcuts through the thick bushes, while Caspian stalked behind Hana, radiating a possessive heat as he watched her walk slowly because her legs and waist were still healing.

"I am the owner of this entire forest," Caspian stated, puffing out his chest as they crossed a small stream. "Every beast here knows my name. You have nothing to fear with me at your side, Hana."

Hana looked at Taga who was avoiding eye contact with the dragon, and then at the dense, silent trees.

Owner? The Boars clearly served him out of terror, not loyalty. If the forest was full of tribes like this, or even stronger tribes, Caspian wasn’t a king; he was just the biggest bully on the block.
