Back to the 1980s: Becoming the Villain's Lucky Wife
Chapter 163: You Hit My Mom, Why Can’t I Hit You?
"What are you doing here?"
"Here to fight." Qin Jiao shoved Lin Nian aside with such force that she immediately fell and plopped right onto the ground. 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚
Meanwhile, Shen Yi had already stepped past her and gone inside. He saw Shen Zhengfeng raise a hand to his mother, Du Liya. He’d already slapped her once, and now he was raising his hand to do it again. Shen Yi immediately rushed forward and kicked Shen Zhengfeng square in the stomach.
Although Shen Zhengfeng was a grown man, years of drinking for business and constantly running over to Li Xiaomei’s place had taken a toll on his body. So when a strapping young lad like Shen Yi kicked him, he clutched his stomach and staggered back several steps, nearly collapsing at Li Xiaomei’s feet.
To make matters worse, the kick had knocked the wind right out of him.
Pain wracked his stomach, and cold sweat beaded on Shen Zhengfeng’s forehead.
He roared, "You fucking dare hit me? Shen Yi, are you out of your mind?!"
"You hit my mom. Why can’t I hit you?" Shen Yi’s tone was placid, his voice utterly at odds with his appearance. In that instant, Qin Jiao felt as if she was seeing the Shen Yi from her past life—the one who got into fights.
That’s right. In her past life, Shen Yi had never hit her, but he’d fought plenty of other people. Once, he’d even beaten someone until their face was a bloody mess.
All because they had mocked him, calling him a lunatic, his mother an idiot, and him the useless trash of the Shen Family.
The eighteen-year-old was already much taller than Shen Zhengfeng. Though still a bit thin, his gaze was piercingly cold, and he radiated a menacing aura.
At that moment, Shen Zhengfeng couldn’t get a word out. It was hard to say whether he was terrified by his son or if the pain from having the wind knocked out of him was simply too great.
Du Liya was crying herself into a stupor. Qin Jiao immediately went to support her, whispering, "Auntie, don’t cry. It’s okay. It’s all over now."
"He cheated! He never broke it off with her!" she wailed.
"It’s okay, it’s okay. If he’s cheating, just let him go. With this sort of thing, if they do it once, they’ll do it again. Practice makes perfect."
Immersed in her own profound sorrow, Du Liya didn’t even notice there was anything wrong with that statement.
The others in the room, however, were absolutely livid.
Shen Zhengfeng shot a ferocious glare in their direction, but Shen Yi took a step forward, shielding both Qin Jiao and his mother, Du Liya. And that wasn’t all—the silent but powerfully built Qin Zhonghui, who looked incredibly strong from a life of hard labor, was standing right beside them.
Shen Zhengfeng... backed down.
Li Xiaomei, however, shot Qin Jiao a glare before hurrying over to fuss over Shen Zhengfeng.
Meanwhile, Chen Feng was rooted to the spot like a wooden stake, unsure of what to say, looking as if his soul had left his body.
Seeing this, Lin Nian bit her lip, grabbed her schoolbag, and turned to flee.
She had no idea how this mess would end, but it wasn’t something she could stick around to watch.
’What if this ends badly and Li Xiaomei takes her anger out on me!’
Du Liya was still sobbing. "Shen Zhengfeng, you actually hit me. You dared to hit me! You said I broke you two up, but when we got married, you were the one who told me you didn’t have feelings for her anymore!"
No matter how much a woman wants to marry a man, he has to be willing to go and get the license with her.
Besides, if Shen Zhengfeng had been so unwilling, how would they have had a son?
Du Liya knew she had fallen for Shen Zhengfeng at first sight. She hadn’t known he was with someone when she started pursuing him. By the time she found out, she was already too deeply in love to control her heart.
Qin Jiao looked at Du Liya’s swollen face and said calmly, "When it comes to domestic violence, there’s only zero times and countless times. Auntie, he hit you. You can report him."
"No!" Li Xiaomei blurted out, her face instantly filled with alarm.
