The Turtle Clan male scratched his head. "I haven’t seen him since then. Maybe he was taken by a Sea Demon."

"Since you’re his Female Master and haven’t sensed his death, he should still be alive."

"You all seem pretty strong. You might be able to get your Beast Husband back."

The Turtle Clan male had lived in the tribe his whole life. The strongest male he had ever seen only had Advanced Spiritual Power.

An idea struck Yu An. "Sir, you just said many people were taken by the Sea Demon. Were they all eaten?"

"Probably not all of them. But occasionally, a few females would tell the Clan Leader that they sensed their contract had disappeared."

That meant their Beast Husbands were gone.

"Haven’t you thought about rescuing the missing people?"

"Of course we have," the Turtle Clan male said with a bitter laugh. "But no matter how many people went into the sea, they were all captured by the Sea Demon. Over time, no one dared to go anymore."

Yu An asked what the Sea Demon looked like, but he couldn’t describe it clearly. He only said that the Sea Demon had a great mouth that could devour all things, sucking everyone in with a single inhale.

"S-So cold. If this keeps up, we’ll freeze to death before we even get thrown into the pool to soak."

"Less talking! Hurry up and carry them over so we can go back to our rooms and warm up!"

When they reached the Coral House that Lan Yin had been to before, Yu An heard the sound of water splashing several times.

Immediately after, Han Li’s panicked voice rang out, "Who are you people? Weren’t we eaten by the Sea Demon?"

"Female Master! Let my Female Master go!"

That was Mo Yan’s voice.

The Steward didn’t stop Mo Yan from running over. Feeling herself being shaken a few times by Mo Yan, Yu An opened her eyes in a daze.

The first person she saw was Mo Yan, and the second was the Steward.

"What clans are you all from?" the Steward said coldly. "Answer truthfully, or you’ll lose your lives!"

Yu An shivered. It was partly an act, but she was also genuinely freezing. She felt utterly cold; it was a hundred times colder here than outside.

The person who brought them over said, "Alright, get in and soak."

Yu An exchanged a look with the others. Clearly, this pool was nothing good.

The guards supported them as they were taken to a room to rest. Ever since a large group had vanished last time, the Steward had ordered the Beastmen to be locked in separate rooms.

The room was small and cramped, with only four beds. Ao Er and Ao Wu were taken to other rooms, while Yu An was in a room with Mo Yan and the other two.

The guards brought them food and then left. With someone standing guard outside, Yu An took out a pen and paper to communicate with them.

She wrote first, ’It seems the Invincible Alliance captured the Beastmen to make them soak in that strange pool. Lan Yin and Third Brother aren’t here. Maybe there’s more than one of these pools?’

Mo Yan shook his head and wrote back, ’An’an, did you notice that the pool is huge, and there are many houses here? But besides the five houses that are occupied, the others have no guards at their doors.’
