Beast World: From Villainess to Cub-Raising Chef
Chapter 89: Helping Her With Her Wounds
The force of the impact pressed their bodies tightly together.
Bai Su could even feel the firm muscles beneath his white coat.
Although he looked tall and slender, with a slim and elegant figure, his clothes hid a set of remarkably well-developed muscles.
But what left her stunned was his face.
It was a beauty that nearly transcended gender, yet it wasn’t the least bit effeminate.
Seeing them up close, Bai Su couldn’t help but sigh in admiration. ’What beautiful eyes.’
He was probably the most beautiful man she had seen since coming to the Beast World.
He had an almost divine quality to him, making her instinctively feel that thinking about a "Russian chandelier" in this situation... was a complete desecration of his being.
System: [This is Male Lead Number Three, Yelias!]
Yelias was only stunned for a moment before he recovered, helping her up with an elegant and unhurried grace. "Are you all right?"
Even his voice was so pleasant it was almost androgynous.
It was different from Lu Tingyan’s characteristic coldness and the domineering air of a military commander.
Yelias was more like a pristine god enshrined upon a sacred altar—elegant, slender, and captivating, as if he were the kindest, purest person in the world.
He wore a loose-fitting white coat, his slightly messy bangs hanging over his forehead. A single lock of long hair at the back of his head was tied with a small band, falling in a thin strand all the way to his ankles.
As he moved, that lock of hair looked more like a ribbon swirling around him.
’It makes him look even holier...’
Bai Su even felt that her current state, covered in mud and water, was somehow tarnishing his halo just by being in his presence.
And besides... 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮
She could barely control her own body because she shared a complete sensory link with her Clone.
Right now, her Clone was still entangled with Li Chenlin, and she could feel everything the Clone was feeling...
She felt like she was using up a lifetime’s worth of restraint today. It took every ounce of her strength to suppress the whimpers that threatened to escape her lips. She trembled all over, daring not to move.
She’d bet anything that if she made one wrong move, her hips and legs would give out on the spot, and she’d make a complete fool of herself in front of him.
Seeing her staring at him foolishly, Yelias let out a low chuckle. He took off his white coat and wrapped it around her lush yet delicate body, his eyes holding not a trace of offense. "There’s a bathroom in the cabin. Would you like to go wash up?"
"If you don’t clean up afterward, it’s easy to get sick."
His demeanor was so natural, as if he were just a doctor giving routine instructions to a patient. His silver-gray eyes were clean and frank, as though her current disheveled state made no difference to him whatsoever.
Bai Su couldn’t help but blush. "Okay... Ngh..."
Yelias seemed to notice her predicament, a warm, gentle smile on his face. "Should I carry you to the bathroom? Can you still walk?"
Bai Su hadn’t expected him to have this kind of personality, which only made her more flustered. "I... I can do it myself..."
She was wearing nothing under the white coat; how could she possibly let him carry her?
Under Yelias’s gaze, she could only brace herself and start walking toward the bathroom.
The foreign sensation inside her, as if her organs were being squeezed and displaced, almost made her legs buckle and fall.
The man behind her was quick to act, catching her by the waist as she went limp. His voice held a hint of resignation. "Let me carry you. You don’t have to force yourself. Females are naturally delicate and need to be cared for."
Bai Su’s face turned so red it felt like it could bleed.
Even though she knew all the turbulent sensations in her body came from her Clone, she inexplicably felt like she had done something shameful in front of this angelic doctor, as if she were being watched by a crowd...
At some point, her drooping rabbit ears had silently curled forward to cover her blushing cheeks, giving her the embarrassed look of someone who wished the ground would swallow her whole.
Yelias smiled. "You don’t have to be so nervous. I’m a doctor. In my eyes, it makes little difference whether you’re clothed or not."
Bai Su wanted to cry. She didn’t feel comforted in the slightest.
Yelias carried her to the bathroom and asked in a low voice, "Can you stand on your own?"
Bai Su was dying of shame. She gave a clumsy nod. "I can..."
"Good girl." Yelias gently set her down, letting her lean against the wall to stay upright.
Yelias put on the stethoscope that was hanging around his neck and said gently, "Your heart rate, breathing, and body temperature are all a bit abnormal right now. I need to check your physical condition before I help you get clean. Is that okay?"
Bai Su quickly shook her head, suppressing her gasps and trying her best to make her voice sound steady. "Doctor, I’m fine... You don’t need to examine me..."
A flash of coldness crossed Yelias’s eyes. "Hiding things from a doctor is never a good idea. You are a female of the Federation, and you possess a superpower. As a Federation doctor, I have an obligation to ensure you are in good health."
Bai Su wanted to cry. How was she supposed to explain that her panting, flushed skin, and racing heart were all because of the sensory link with her Clone?
’He looks like such a gentle, good-natured person, so why is he so scary when his expression darkens?!’
Bai Su didn’t dare make another peep.
Yelias’s expression softened slightly. As he began to examine her, he said, "This ship will be leaving this area of the sea soon. You don’t need to be afraid. You’re safe with me. Not even Li Chenlin can do anything to you."
Bai Su nodded lightly. Being examined while naked was just too embarrassing. Feeling she should say something to ease the tension, she asked, "How did you come to rescue me?"
Yelias’s hands paused. He lowered his gaze, hiding the look in his eyes. "Grandpa sent me."
Bai Su nodded. It wasn’t a surprise.
She had guessed that Grandpa had sent him.
Otherwise, why would someone like Yelias—a "Male Lead Number Three" type from a novel, whose combat prowess wasn’t top-tier but who commanded immense global prestige for his unparalleled medical skills—come to rescue a minor female like her?
Yelias’s expression grew more and more serious. "Did he use any drugs on you?"
Startled by his look, Bai Su stammered, "Y-Yes... he used a kind of snake venom. It’s supposed to transform my body into that of a Snake Beastman."
Yelias’s brow furrowed slightly. "Any other toxins? Something like a stimulant?"
Bai Su shook her head. "N-No."
Yelias frowned as he stared at her body. "Your mating season just ended. This should be a time of weakness and rest. You shouldn’t be this... aroused."
Bai Su really wanted to cry. ’Being stared at by such a holy face... well, how could she *not* get excited?’
She wasn’t some innocent little girl who, in her past life, only read G-rated novels.
Thankfully, on the other side, her Clone’s activities seemed to be over.
Her body was also slowly returning to normal.
Yelias pursed his lips and looked at her with pity. "Poor little thing. Can you wash by yourself? Or should I help you clean up?"
Bai Su shook her head vigorously. "N-No, that’s not necessary! I can do it myself. Thank you, Doctor."
Yelias nodded. "Then you wash up. I’ll prepare a solution for you."
He crouched by the nearby bathtub and began pouring several colorful potions from the rack beside it into the water.
