What do those who destroy the Pillar of the Present World intend to do?

Wu Chang had been contemplating this question, but even as the answer lay before him, he found himself hesitating to affirm it.

Yet, whether it was Kristen’s guidance or the intelligence he had gathered, they all pointed towards the ultimate outcome at this moment.

"Do they want to connect the Desolate Realm and the Realm of Reason?"

He spoke with great caution, though in truth, his real conjecture at this moment was that the Desolate Realm, the Realm of Reason, and reality were all connected.

Currently, reality and the Abyssal Game aren’t truly linked; it’s just that the chosen Abyssal Game players can freely traverse between the two.

Kristen condensed energy into a chair, sat down slowly, and said:

Wu Chang organized his thoughts and said:

"Your Eminence Kristen, you’ve compared the Pillar of the Present World to the pillars supporting a house, but can they really be equated with each other?"

"At its peak, there were only thirty-six of them; could they really bear the weight of partitioning the entire Desolate Realm and Realm of Reason?"

"Even if they could, before the Pillar of the Present World appeared, was the Abyss not a coherent entity, without layers?"

Kristen chuckled lightly and said:

"Your understanding of the Abyss is greatly flawed. What do you think the Abyss is?"

Wu Chang froze, as if someone had suddenly asked him what the world is.

Most people would instinctively answer such a question: the world is the space in which they exist, needing no explanation.

He didn’t understand Kristen’s question, and asked in confusion:

"What is the Abyss?"

Kristen said, "The Abyss is a connection point among infinite planes. It not only links countless planes but continuously births new planes within it."

"It appeared long before the birth of any planes; it connects to the most fundamental parts of the universe."

She extended her hand and summoned a rose placed near the altar, saying:

"In your world, there’s a saying I like very much, ’One flower, one world, one leaf, one bodhi.’

She plucked a petal from the rose and said, "If each petal is a world, then the existence of the Abyss is a boundless garden."

"Do you think the existence of a few petals could determine the entire garden?"

Wu Chang frowned and said, "Of course, not."

"That’s why I don’t understand why the Pillar of the Present World could support the layers of the Abyss."

Kristen let go, and the petals floated out, landing on the ground before Wu Chang.

Once on the ground, the petals quickly withered, and their fibers turned grotesque and ugly, expanding and growing at a rapid pace.

They spread out like wooden tentacles or some kind of special shrub, filling the entire space in the blink of an eye.

Wu Chang looked at these shrubs and found his vision drawn into them. He followed the shrubs all the way down, and his vision entered beneath the earth.

Below the surface, he saw a thick pillar, and as he continued to look down, the pillar gradually thinned, branching out.

Following his inspiration, he chose a branch and moved forward; green leaves appeared on the branch.

At that moment, Wu Chang realized that what he saw in the room was not a tentacle-like shrub, but an inverted giant tree.

The shrubs in front of him were the tree’s roots, the pillar buried in the ground was the trunk, and the fine parts were the tree’s branches.

Seeing it all clearly, his vision followed the branches into the leaves, passing through the leaf veins, and at the end of the leaves, he saw a ripe fruit.

"Do you see now?"

Kristen’s voice sounded behind him, causing his vision to spin.
