Chapter 380: A Dish Named “Quetzal”!
Chapter 32: A Dish Named "Quetzal"!
The Feathered Serpent, Quetzalcoatl, coughed violently, spitting out a mouthful of fresh blood. However, rather than showing pain, her face flushed with a deep crimson hue, radiating an intense joy and a primal passion.
"Khuk... khuk... truly... what an unbelievable strength..."
That unparalleled power—it was the very existence she had always been searching for.
Meanwhile, Jaguar Man, who had been watching the exchange from a safe distance, stood completely frozen. Kukul, the invincible goddess... had actually lost?
The sound of steady footsteps echoed against the scorched earth. Tap... tap...
"Feathered Serpent God Quetzalcoatl, you have been defeated," Akira stated calmly.
"You’re absolutely right, my handsome little brother. Your strength is simply too much. I was no match for you at all," she replied, her voice breathy but cheerful.
"Why didn’t you use your Noble Phantasm? Or release your True Name?"
"This was a fair ’wrestling’ match, wasn’t it? If I had used my Noble Phantasm, wouldn’t that be cheating? Besides, it’s not like you used yours either, right?"
At that moment, the ornate headdress Quetzalcoatl wore had been shattered, allowing her long, reddish-orange hair to spill down her shoulders in a wild, beautiful mess. The goddess looked up at Akira and smiled.
She hadn’t used her full power, but she knew the person standing before her hadn’t either. And if one were to look deeper, justice itself never truly possessed an absolute standard.
"In that case, let’s sign the contract. From this day forth, you are my goddess."
"Of course. After all, a contract is a contract."
"Mm—"
Before he could say another word, the bold older-sister-type goddess lunged forward. She closed the distance to Akira instantly, pulling him into a passionate, lingering kiss.
In that instant, a "contract" began to weave itself between them. The magical energy within Shin Akira’s body, which felt like a bottomless abyss, flowed into Quetzal through the exchange of bodily fluids.
Akira was momentarily stunned. What was this? They had just started, and she was already handing out "bonuses"?
"From now on, please take care of me, my little Master..."
Because he was currently inheriting Meliodas’s template, Akira’s height was indeed a bit of a sore spot. Even if he didn’t want to admit it, the fact remained that he was currently quite short.
"There’s one thing I should clear up. I am not ’little.’ You’ll find that out soon enough."
"Ah, I see. Onee-san is truly looking forward to it, then."
The dialogue was suggestive, but Quetzalcoatl was a goddess; she didn’t subscribe to the rigid concepts of human ethics. For gods, uniting and producing offspring was a perfectly natural part of existence.
It was just that, as one of the highest authorities in Central and South American Aztec mythology, she had never met a male god capable of conquering her—until now.
The God of Life and Harvest, the God of Culture, the God of Wind and Rain, and at one point, the holder of authority over the Sun itself. This was the entity known as "Quetzalcoatl." In various mythologies, she sat firmly at the very top.
However, her current manifestation as a Servant-like existence limited her power. If not for that, her strength would never have been capped at this level.
"Haaah..."
With a long exhale, Akira deactivated his Assault Mode. The oppressive dark miasma began to fade, and his eyes shifted back to their original teal-blue color.
However, because his previous explosion of magical energy while entering Assault Mode had shredded his clothes, the black garments formed from his darkness still clung to his body. He couldn’t exactly walk around naked, after all; Akira didn’t have a habit of showing off his "little Akira" to the world.
"Quetzal, let’s head to your place."
"Very well. However, my Master, do you intend to... eat me?"
"Of course. You’ve noticed it too, haven’t you? My current condition isn’t exactly stable. The accumulated desires are growing too large. Rather than holding it in, it’s better to let it out."
"I understand. In that case, let us go to my temple first. When night falls, Onee-san will serve you to the best of her abilities."
In the world of the gods, the law of the jungle was the only law that mattered: the strong ruled over the weak. A powerful god could take a defeated god as a subordinate. The beliefs, legends, and divine authority of the loser would become the spoils of the victor.
No matter the pantheon, they had all experienced upheavals. And every upheaval led to a shift in the hierarchy of the divine.
To Quetzalcoatl, the situation was simple. She had lost to a stronger god. Therefore, whatever the victor wished to do with her was only right. She no longer belonged entirely to herself. The world of the gods was far more ruthless and terrifying than the world of men.
Under Quetzalcoatl’s guidance, the two entered her territory. There, Akira saw many humans. All of them had once died at Quetzalcoatl’s hands, only to be brought back to life by her power. In this place, they were free to live, provided they didn’t try to leave.
Quetzalcoatl appeared wild and free, but she was fundamentally a kind goddess filled with wisdom. She loathed living sacrifices, loved humanity, and was a true goddess of goodness. Her alignment was strictly "Lawful Good."
Whether they worshiped her or took up arms against her, she viewed humans as creatures that must be protected for the sake of the future, not things to be slaughtered without reason. She was cheerful and optimistic, but it was an optimism rooted in firm conviction.
She believed that a smile represented the sun within a person’s heart, and that smiles could usher in an era of happiness. No matter how heavy or difficult the circumstances, that cheerfulness must never be lost. She was an "older sister" with a vast, earth-like capacity for love and a personality as warm and bright as the sun.
Yet, her logic and scale of existence remained that of a god. She viewed things through a lens different from humans, sometimes performing acts that mortals would deem cruel or heinous.
Most of the time, she would say with a beaming smile, "As long as everyone is healthy, everything is negotiable! Onee-san is very happy, you know!"
She had joined the Three Goddess Alliance to protect humanity. Even though she despised the Holy Grail, she couldn’t let it fall into the hands of the other two goddesses, so she carried out her plan to attack Uruk. Her reason was simple—she wanted to "wrestle with everyone."
In her own way, she was helping humanity. As long as humans could grow and become stronger, she was satisfied. Even if she had to become their enemy to make it happen, she wouldn’t hesitate. Just as one might become a "Demon King" to help birth a "Hero."
Time passed slowly, and before they knew it, twilight had arrived. As a goddess, Quetzalcoatl was the supreme ruler of this land. When the banquet began, exquisite dishes were served one by one. While they might not be considered "gourmet" by modern standards, in this era, such food was a rare luxury.
"What do you think?" she asked.
"It’s good enough."
"I see. If that’s the case, please understand. After all, the era is what it is."
"I don’t really care about that. As long as my stomach is full, it’s fine."
In truth, the current Akira wouldn’t feel hunger even if he didn’t eat. He had already transcended the limits of a "human."
"If this banquet doesn’t satisfy you, then allow me to serve you a... ’special dish.’"
Saying this, Quetzalcoatl stood up and walked slowly toward Akira. Her clothes slid from her body one by one, pooling on the floor.
"Now? Here?" Akira raised an eyebrow.
"But of course. Inside my heart, there is a sun that is currently burning."
"Then I won’t hold back, Quetzal."
"Please... ’enjoy’ your meal."
The alluring goddess spoke in a pampered, melting tone. As a woman, her charm was undeniable.
