BNHA: Spiritual Aura
Chapter 340: You’re a beauty.
--Friday, August 7, 2172
After playing for several hours with the excavator, Momo finally managed to get Kai to join her in playing at the sea, where they started tossing around a large inflatable ball she created with her quirk. Meanwhile, Mirko swam for a bit or lay quietly on the beach, occasionally glancing at the handsome blue-eyed young man playing with his fiancée.
"Kai, could you help me with something?"
Just as Kai was coming out of the sea with Momo and a few other classmates, Tomoko asked with a calm smile. Kai nodded, then stretched lazily and commented mid-yawn.
"Sure..."
Soon, Tomoko and Kai walked together toward a small forest near the beach. At that moment, Momo turned to the girls and spoke in a calm, though somewhat tired, voice.
"Well, girls, let’s take advantage of this time to freshen up before we start preparing food."
"I’m so exhausted I could just go straight to sleep..." Mina said in a tired voice, ending with a yawn. Kyoka Jiro added while stretching her shoulders.
"Yeah, all that training and playing in the sea was too much for us."
"Even Saito looked worn out..." Toru added, equally exhausted. At that moment, Mina approached Momo and whispered in a slightly worried tone.
"By the way, Yao Momo, have you thought about what you’re going to do with a certain ’bunny’? She hasn’t stopped staring all day..."
"I don’t want to cause unnecessary trouble, but if things escalate, I guess I’ll have to have a serious conversation." Momo said with a slightly irritated and firm tone. As Mina nodded in complete agreement, Kyoka Jiro overheard Toru’s voice, full of admiration, near her ear.
"Yao Momo seems so grown-up..."
"I get what you mean..." Kyoka Jiro whispered back thoughtfully, at which point Momo spoke in a serious tone.
"I’ll go ahead; I want to have some snacks ready for when Kai gets back."
"Let’s go then." Mina said calmly, and soon the girls followed her with small smiles, leaving their exhaustion behind.
...
...
...
"So, you need wood for a bonfire?" Venturing into the forest, Kai asked while looking at Tomoko, who replied in a cheerful voice as she scanned the surroundings.
"Yeah, since it’s the farewell, it’s nice to have something special, and since you’re good at cutting things, you’re perfect for the job!"
"Then let me call Salem; he stayed sleeping with Tama in the room to avoid getting wet in the sea..." Kai said calmly as he prepared to whistle, but just then, Tomoko grabbed his wrist and commented with a mischievous smile.
"No worries, I’ve already prepared a couple of axes, but first, there’s something very important we need to do~"
"Oh, and what could be so important? Does a certain little kitten need a check-up?"
Recognizing Tomoko’s smile, Kai couldn’t help but wrap his arms around her waist and ask in a playful tone while extending his Observation Haki to the maximum. Tomoko stood on her tiptoes, wrapped her arms around her beloved’s neck, and then spoke in a naughty, lustful voice.
"Yes~ This kitten misses her Kai so much and can’t think of anything else all day~"
With a lustful grin, Kai slid his hands under Tomoko’s skirt, only to feel her bare skin directly, which inevitably widened his smile and led him to comment with raw desire.
"Oh, looks like the kitten came prepared..."
"Nyahaha, more than ready~" Tomoko replied like a tempting succubus before jumping up to wrap her legs around her beloved and start a passionate kiss.
...
Some time later, Kai returned to the beach carrying enormous, perfectly squared planks. Tomoko, who had a huge smile on her face, looking revitalized and full of energy, took the planks to stack them into a large square wooden tower.
[Again?!]
At that moment, Tomoko heard Shino’s voice, dripping with resentment, forcing her to look away and whistle guiltily, which inevitably made Shino and Ryuko huff indignantly. Soon, Shino glanced at Ryuko, who nodded with a serious and annoyed expression, and then she sent a telepathic message in an angry tone that felt like she was about to explode from frustration.
[For taking advantage and not keeping your word, you’re banned from the bed until Ryuko and I are completely satisfied, got it?!]
[Got it!!]
Tomoko quickly replied in a serious tone, at which Ryuko and Shino huffed while gritting their teeth, feeling like their bodies were about to dry up from abstinence. They truly regretted their decision not to do anything during the camp; now they felt angry and miserable, and on top of that, they had to stay away from their Kai, knowing full well that otherwise, they wouldn’t be able to resist temptation.
...
...
...
In the sea, far off, Bakugo dove down until he could see the bottom, then unleashed a brutal explosion that sent him rocketing upward, soon breaking the surface and soaring several meters into the air. While airborne, Bakugo unleashed rapid-fire explosions that made him dart in all directions like a dragonfly before letting himself fall back into the water. After a splash, he emerged, clenching his fists underwater.
Swallowing his pride to follow the useless Deku’s advice and spar with him, Todoroki, Kirishima, or others had actually been effective. Though the change in his strength wasn’t radical, it was significant enough for him to feel the improvement—something he hadn’t felt in a long time. Finally, after so long, he felt like he was at the starting line again, but at the same time, something bothered him.
Though the improvement was evident, Bakugo also had a strange feeling that he was holding himself back. After all, he felt that if he had improved like this from the first day he entered UA, he still wouldn’t show as drastic a change as Ashido, Kirishima, and the others. Though they couldn’t defeat him, they were now close enough to force him to go all out—something unthinkable at the start of the year.
Realizing what the biggest variable in that change was, Bakugo couldn’t help but glance toward a beautiful girl with black hair tied in a ponytail and a voluptuous body with deep eyes. But quickly, the explosive blond shook his head and started swimming at full speed.
(If that bastard can do it, so can I! I just have to figure out how!)
...
At the same time, on the shore, Midoriya shook his head with a slight, amused smile as he watched Bakugo swim like a madman. At that moment, a beautiful young woman sat beside him and asked in a melodic, feminine voice.
"Did something good happen, Deku-kun?"
"Eh, n-no, just reminiscing." Midoriya replied a bit nervously, which made Uraraka laugh before commenting in a somewhat melancholic tone.
"I never imagined the camp would end so peacefully after everything that happened..."
"I guess we have Saito to thank for that... He was really amazing." Midoriya said, glancing at Uraraka, who nodded with a reflective and conflicted voice.
"He sure was... You know, I still can’t understand why he doesn’t want to be a hero... Even though my reasons for becoming one aren’t the ’purest,’ with that strength, I..."
"I get what you mean... It’s a bit frustrating to think of all the good he could do with his strength and that he chooses not to." Midoriya said thoughtfully, looking at the sky, which made Uraraka turn to him and nod, slightly blushing.
"Yeah... That’s exactly how I feel..."
"I knew it."
Midoriya looked at Uraraka and spoke with a soft, calm smile, making the innocent girl’s heart skip a beat. But Midoriya, unaware, looked at the horizon as it began to change color and spoke in a calm voice, yet filled with infinite conviction.
"I thought about it a lot, and after a while, I came to a conclusion... If Saito isn’t willing to use his strength to help people, I’ll become even stronger than him to do it... I’ll take on the burden of all the ’Saitos’ out there and give everything I have to at least be a little like All Might and make the world a better place."
"...You’re amazing, Deku-kun..."
Uraraka couldn’t help but whisper in a soft, almost lost voice as she innocently leaned closer to the serious Midoriya. At that moment, Uraraka’s pinky brushed against Midoriya’s on the sand, startling the boy and making them look at each other, visibly blushing. Uraraka blushed, but—unlike before—for some reason, she decided to hold his gaze, starting a quiet staring contest.
"Ochako-chan! We need help over here!"
Just then, Tsuyu’s voice echoed from behind, snapping the pair out of it. They turned as red as tomatoes and looked away. Visibly nervous and with her heart racing, Uraraka stood up abruptly and ran toward Tsuyu while speaking loudly.
"Let’s go, Deku-kun, we need to prepare dinner!"
"I-I’m coming!" Midoriya replied, visibly nervous, before running after the beautiful girl in her swimsuit.
...
...
...
After a simple dinner on the beach, Todoroki was in charge of lighting the huge pile of stacked planks, creating a massive bonfire that illuminated the dark beach. The kids started clapping, then gathered in small groups to chat with big smiles on their faces. Meanwhile, Momo sat between Kai’s legs—who was seated on the sand not far from the bonfire with the cats lying by their sides—and asked with a relaxed voice.
"This was a great camp, don’t you think, darling?"
"It wasn’t bad, honestly." Kai said in a calm voice, at which point Mina, Kyoka, and Toru came over to sit around them.
"We brought lemonade; Ragdoll is handing it out." Kyoka said as she handed a lemonade to Kai, while Mina gave one to Momo.
"Thanks, girls." Momo said with a smile before taking a sip of her lemonade.
"Thanks." Kai said casually, then seemed to remember something and looked at Toru before commenting calmly.
"By the way, Momo mentioned a while back that you wanted me to draw you, right?"
"Eh, yeah, but I understand you’ve been really busy, and training leaves us exhausted at night. You can try when we get back to UA." Toru replied, slightly nervous. Kai shook his head and looked at Momo, asking in a calm voice.
"This is a good time. Help me with a pencil and paper."
"Sure."
Momo replied with a smile, then stood up, and a small easel emerged from the exposed skin of her arm, along with paper and a pencil, before stepping aside to give her beloved some space. Kai settled in front of Toru and picked up the pencil, commenting in a calm voice.
"I’m not particularly good at drawing, but I’ll try. Take the pose you want me to draw."
"R-really, you can see me...?" Toru asked nervously. Kai, activating [Gyo] in his eyes, nodded with a calm expression as he made some strokes on the paper.
"More or less. It’s not super precise, but my perception skills are pretty good."
"O-okay, then." Toru said nervously and soon sat in front of Kai with her knees together. Kai frowned and looked at Toru before commenting in a more serious tone.
"Relax a bit; your smile looks really forced."
"You can really see me..." Toru couldn’t help but whisper with equal parts excitement and disbelief, feeling her heart race wildly. Kai sighed and commented, somewhat exasperated.
"You already knew that. Relax a little; I’m going to start."
"Y-yes!" Toru replied nervously and quickly sat more relaxed on the sand, looking at Kai as her heart pounded and a strange emptiness formed in her stomach.
...
Meanwhile, Momo, Kyoka, and Mina stayed silent behind Kai, watching as stroke by stroke, Kai’s drawing began to take shape. This inevitably caught the attention of nearby students—to the point that some couldn’t resist their curiosity and came over to see what was happening.
As time passed, a breathtakingly beautiful young woman with perfect features began to appear on the paper, looking like some kind of Nordic goddess with a curvy figure. Her hair was long, messy, and wavy, while her eyelashes were thick, her nose small and upturned, and her eyebrows thin and well-shaped.
"This is Hagakure-san...?" Uraraka, who had come over to look with Midoriya, couldn’t help but comment in disbelief.
"She’s gorgeous..." Kaminari added, equally incredulous, while the other boys couldn’t help but nod silently.
"Don’t move."
Kai said in a firm voice, causing Toru—who had been shifting nervously from her classmates’ expressions and comments—to tremble slightly before returning to her original position. Meanwhile, several girls couldn’t help but stare at Kai’s focused profile, illuminated by the flickering flames of the bonfire, finding him incredibly attractive.
...
After a while, Kai finally set the pencil aside and took one last look at the drawing before glancing at Toru. Nodding with satisfaction, he commented.
"It’s done."
As if a strange spell had broken, the young onlookers who had been watching in silence snapped back to reality and quickly cheered with excitement.
"Finally!"
"You’re a beauty, Hagakure!"
"So Saito can see invisible things too!"
"Could he see through walls while the girls are changing?!"
Amid the cheers, an odd question slipped in, causing several girls to cover themselves nervously while others glared venomously at a short boy. At the same time, Toru approached with nervous steps as Momo and the others watched her with warm smiles. Kai detached the paper from the easel and handed it to the invisible girl, who received it with trembling hands.
Upon seeing the drawing, Toru trembled and stared at it almost hypnotized until small sobs escaped her lips. She thanked Kai through tears, looking directly at the calm boy.
"Thank you, Saito... Thank you so, so much... I’ll treasure it forever."
"It’s nothing—enjoy it." Kai said with a calm smile as Mina and the other girls rushed to hug Toru, who held the drawing tightly to her chest.
"Thank you..."
