Chapter 115: Chapter 115: Infinity Shield

Commander Kahn descended with a heavy, metallic thud.

Upon seeing Neo and Noir, he flashed a carefree, arrogant smile.

"I have to admit, I am a little impressed," Kahn said. "You kids certainly know how to make a mess. But I am afraid playtime is officially over. The Byzon Company does not welcome unwanted guests."

He cracked his knuckles, the joints flaring to life with crackling Cosmic Force.

Noir assessed the newcomer, slowly looking him up and down. He was certainly as handsome as Neo, but she felt not even a fraction of attraction toward him. She could only sense his endless, suffocating arrogance and pride.

"Look at him, Neo. He acts like a god, but he is just a slightly larger piece of meat," Noir said, her lips curling into a wicked smile. "Can I play with him? Please?"

Neo was initially about to refuse, but realizing this was a perfect opportunity to witness Noir’s true combat capabilities, he decided to agree.

"You can have him, Noir. Just do not kill him. I need to devour his essence alive," Neo replied casually, speaking as if Kahn’s defeat was already a foregone conclusion.

Hearing this, Kahn smirked dangerously.

"You have no idea what kind of hell awaits you, boy. I am Kahn Rothschild. No one has ever been able to lay a hand on me, much less talk about devouring my essence," he stated coldly.

Neo calmly met Kahn’s gaze, his silver eyes flashing with a predatory light.

"You are a Rothschild... This makes things much more interesting. Noir, get him!"

Upon receiving his confirmation, Noir eagerly unfurled her dark angelic wings and took a large, graceful stride forward.

Buzzz!

Instantly, the metallic floor erupted with dark, roaring hellfire. Her slender hands glowed with an eerie light, physically manifesting long, heavy chains forged entirely from Abyssal Fire.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

The chains acted like living extensions of her own body. Like coiling, venomous snakes, they whipped toward Kahn with lightning speed.

Kahn, however, remained completely unbothered. His lips moved rapidly, as if he were chanting an ancient incantation.

"Shield of Infinity, I summon thee... Aegis!"

Instantly upon chanting, his entire figure was wrapped in a layer of invisible, indestructible energy.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The heavy Abyssal Fire chains struck the barrier with terrifying force, but they effortlessly dispersed into broken sparks of dark energy upon impact.

Noir narrowed her eyes in genuine surprise. "What is that thing? How can it be immune to my Abyssal Fire?"

Kahn smirked arrogantly, brushing a speck of nonexistent dust from his armor.

"Sure, your Abyssal Fire can supposedly burn through anything in the physical world. But I possess a Unique Talent. It is called the Infinity Shield. It is capable of protecting me from all kinds of attacks, be it an incurable curse, a lethal poison, or even some pretty hellish flames."

Noir felt deeply humiliated. Failing to crush a mere human in front of her beloved darling was entirely unacceptable.

Her ruby eyes darkened into pitch black, and the surrounding temperature plummeted to freezing levels.

"You dare mock me in front of my darling? Let us see if your little shield can block the very concept of death!"

She decided to use her ancient bloodline Talent: Death God’s Garden!"

Upon channeling her powers, ghostly obsidian vines violently erupted from the cold steel floor, rapidly spreading across the corridor.

Within seconds, the vines bloomed into horrifyingly beautiful, black crimson roses.

They might be beautiful, but every single blooming rose held the conceptual power to instantly sever a life thread.

One of the blooming black rose lifted in the air.. Then bloomed...

Shi, shii, shiii.

The crimson petals detached and swirled around Kahn like a localized hurricane, attempting to directly reap his life force. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮

And yet, the Infinity Shield held strong.

As the necrotic petals crashed against the invisible barrier, they simply withered into gray ash and dispersed.

Kahn remained standing in the center of the deadly storm, completely unharmed.

He threw his head back and laughed.

"Is that truly all a demon like you can do? I told you, my Infinity Shield is absolute! It does not just guard the flesh, it can alsk perfectly protects my very soul! Neither physical force, nor conceptual death, nor soul-rending curses can pierce it. I am completely untouchable!"

As he turned toward Neo, his eyes were full of mockery.

With this ultimate defense, Kahn easily established himself as the most difficult and potentially strongest foe Neo had faced yet.

Noir gritted her fangs, preparing to use more of her demonic abilities, but a calm, warm hand gently rested on her shoulder.

"That is enough, Noir. You did well. This shield is simply a unique conceptual anomaly. Step back," he said gently.

"But darling, I have more abilities. I can kill him. Just give me some time," Noir said, looking desperate to prove herself.

Neo’s face showed only understanding. There was not a trace id disappointment on his eyes.

"I already understood the depth of your power. You have barely unleashed a fraction of it. You’re far stronger, far stronger than any of us. But... I would like to wioe off his arrogance with my own hands."

Only now, Noir calm down. She was also deeply amazed by his analytical gaze. No normal human ot demon could see through an ancient demon true aura unless they show it willingly.

Neo had done it. All thanks to his Spirit Eyes..

Neo’s Voidium Star Body absorbed the residual dark energy in the room.

Kahn crossed his arms, watching Neo approach with a smug expression.

"Giving up so soon? Or are you going to try and punch an indestructible wall, boy?"

Neo did not summon a weapon. He did not gather his Cosmic Force for a devastating strike.

Instead, he simply walked right up to Kahn, completely ignoring the Metahuman’s threatening aura, and raised his right hand.

He pressed his bare palm flat against the invisible surface of the Infinity Shield.

"A shield that perfectly deflects all external attacks and isolates the soul is indeed a formidable talent. If I tried to break it with brute force or magic, it might actually take some effort."

Kahn became slightly unnerved by how completely relaxed Neo was.

"Then what exactly are you doing? Begging for mercy?"

"No. I am simply reminding you of a basic universal truth, Kahn. An attack only fails if it tries to break the defense. But what happens if the attacker simply decides to make that defense a part of itself?"

Kahn’s eyes widened in sudden confusion. "What nonsense are you—"

"Activate Universal Synthesis," Neo’s hand glowed.
