"Where is the Transcendent? I don’t sense anyone," Yuan remarked after spending a full minute trying to find the Transcendent.

However, Selena didn’t respond to him, and when he looked at her, she was looking straight up in the sky.

Yuan followed her gaze, and before he could say anything, a shadowy silhouette descended from the sky, landing directly on Selena.

"It’s been a while, Selena!" A female’s voice resounded, but it sounded irritated, as if someone had intruded into her home.

Selena raised an arm to block the incoming figure, who had descended with her leg extended, intending to axe kick her.

"I never thought you’d visit my territory on your own accord, much less bring so many guests!"

"It’s been a while, Angela," Selena greeted in a calm voice despite being sneak-attacked.

"It sure has been a while. How long ago did we last meet? A hundred eighty billion years ago?"

"You’ve been keeping track?"

"Of course! What else is there to do?" Angela laughed aloud.

Yuan watched their seemingly friendly conversation with a raised eyebrow, his eyes directly on Angela, who was another tall and slender beauty, albeit slightly shorter and skinnier than Selena.

Her face was also a little smaller than Selena, but it was noticeably sharper, giving her a naturally aggressive face.

However, beside these differences, they were identical, from their black hair color, ghost-like skin, and even abyssal eyes.

"So... about this weird group..." Angela remarked as she finally turned her attention to Yuan’s group, starting with Supreme Ruler Dena’s odd appearance and ending with Lev, who was the least interesting to her.

"What kind of game is this?" she asked a moment later, assuming Selena was playing one.

"We’ve already played, and I lost," Selena replied with a casual shrug.

"You lost?" Angela stared at her in stunned silence for a moment before she burst out laughing.

"Hahaha! You lost to the Demon God’s dogs? That’s hilarious and embarrassing!"

Selena ignored her mockery and asked, "What do you know about a demon named Owen?"

"Owen? Why are you interested?" Angela asked with a profound smile.

"I am looking for him," Yuan said.

"Huh?"

Angela suddenly frowned in an unpleasant manner.

"Who gave you permission to speak to me, you dog?"

Angela’s demeanor abruptly shifted, and she glared at him with killing intent.

Seeing her sudden and drastic change, Yuan recalled what Selena said earlier—how they were lucky to encounter her because the others would’ve killed them on sight.

"Hey, Selena, if you’re going to bring your animals into my territory, you should have disciplined them first."

"They’re not my animal, though."

"What?"

Angela turned to Yuan and the others again, but her gaze had changed. It was sharper now, laced with danger and open disdain.

"Who gave you lot the permission to enter Death Paradise?" she questioned.

"Do you own this entire place?" Yuan questioned back.

"What...?" Angela’s eyes widened at Yuan’s response, as if bewildered by his audacity.

Yuan continued, "As far as I am aware, this entire world belongs to the Demon God, so why must I ask you permission? Perhaps you’re working directly for the Demon God?"

"..."

Selena also stared at Yuan in disbelief.

"Hey..." she began, but Angela suddenly exploded in fury, her aura surging skyward and piercing the heavens.

"I’ll kill you!"

Without warning, Angela lunged at Yuan with fury.

Despite the situation, Yuan remained utterly calm and even sneered aloud, "Your emotional control is pathetic. Are you sure you’re an Transcendent and not a Forsaken?"

"DIE!"

Angela lashed out at Yuan, unleashing a tremendous surge of Demon God’s Ordeal that crashed down on him and sealed him within—a quantity far greater than what Supreme Ruler Dena had endured for her own trial.

Seeing her master attacked, the Demon Annihilation Sword moved on instinct, hurling herself toward Angela.

Angela only sneered in disdain and swatted at her with a casual strike, clearly underestimating her and treating her as nothing more than an insignificant fly.

"I am going to devour you!" The Demon Annihilation Sword declared as she swung her sword, unleashing a tremendous amount of Demon Sealing Aura. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖

"What is this power?"

Angela was taken aback by her Demon Sealing Aura that felt similar to Demon God’s Ordeal yet fundamentally different.

She tried to control it like she does with Demon God’s Ordeal but failed, forcing her to destroy it instead.

"What an interesting toy..." Angela muttered, staring at her hand, where a faint sting could be felt. "It’s been a while, so let’s have some fun!"

Angela and the Demon Annihilation Sword clashed, their blows making the air shudder and the very fabric of space crack around them.

Meanwhile, Selena and the others focused their attention on Yuan.

"Although he’s human, he’s from a different world and fundamentally different from us... Will the Demon God’s Ordeal even work on him?" Selena wondered aloud in a low voice.

Inside the cloud of Demon God’s Ordeal, Yuan nearly lost consciousness from Angela’s attack. Although he could’ve dodged or blocked the attack, he purposefully chose not to, as he saw it as an opportunity to train.

After consuming a certain amount of Demon God’s Ordeal, Yuan automatically entered his demon form.

"What?!" Selena’s eyes widened with shock after seeing Yuan’s transformation for the first time.

"How is he able to take on that appearance?!" Selena cried out loud, wondering if the Demon God had caused the Great Cataclysm in other worlds.

However, if that were the case, Yuan would’ve mentioned it when he told her about the history of Nine Heavens.

"And it’s not just his appearance, either! His presence... even his scent has become the same as a demon! Did he really turn into one?!"

Angela, who was locked in a fierce battle with the Demon Annihilation Sword, sensed Yuan’s impressive aura and shifted her attention to him.

"That aura... it’s similar to ours, but he’s clearly not one of us... What the hell is he?"

Since Angela had paid them only the bare minimum attention, she had no idea that Yuan was human.

After his Demonic Awakening activated, Yuan quickly returned to his senses, and he could feel something had started to change in him. However, he’d already refined all of the Demon God’s Ordeal that Angela forced upon him.

"More... give me more!" Yuan turned to Angela and demanded with a wide smile on his face.

"What?"

Angela frowned, but before she could even comprehend Yuan’s demands, he lunged at her and attacked.

"Is that all you can do? With that pathetic amount of Demon God’s Ordeal, I barely felt it." Yuan suddenly started provoking her.

"You bastard!"

Without thinking, Angela instinctively launched even more Demon God’s Ordeal at Yuan, who gladly accepted all of it.

"Hahaha! More! I want more!" Yuan laughed like a madman as he devoured the Demon God’s Ordeal like a black hole.

"What the hell?!" Angela’s eyes widened with disbelief, and she continued attacking him with Demon God’s Ordeal.

"Why isn’t he dying or ascending?! He’d already consumed over a million year’s worth of Demon God’s Ordeal! That amount could easily create a dozen Transcendants!"

Yuan continued shouting, "Not enough! Not even close!"

He suddenly turned to look at Selena and said to her, "Why don’t you help her out and send some more Demon God’s Ordeal my way?"

"This crazy—!"

Selena forcefully pushed aside her bewilderment and immediately began directing even more Demon God’s Ordeal toward Yuan, a wide smile on her face as she watched, immensely entertained by the whole situation.

"Angela, I know you can do more than that!" Selena said to her a moment later.

"Sure thing—" Angela subconsciously responded but quickly froze with a dumbfounded expression. "Wait a damn second! Why the hell am I listening to you?!"

Despite her words, Angela pushed herself to her limit, sending as much Demon God’s Ordeal as she could toward Yuan.

"Hahaha!"

Yuan laughed nonstop, his voice echoing in all directions.

"This feels amazing! More! Give it all to me!"

Lev stared at Yuan with a stunned look on his face, wondering aloud, "Did he really go crazy?"

"I’m surprised that he’s still alive," Supreme Ruler Grant mumbled.

In just a few minutes, Yuan had endured over ten million years worth of Demon God’s Ordeal.

Yet, he still seemed nowhere close to ascending.

"What am I even doing? Why does it feel like I am helping him instead of killing him?" Angela eventually realized something was amiss and questioned aloud.

"You’re thinking too much," Selena replied. "Don’t you want to kill him? Just keep at it and he’ll die sooner or later... probably."

Time slipped by, and after several more minutes, Selena and Angela finally stopped—not because Yuan had died, nor because he had ascended.

"There’s no more Demon God’s Ordeal!" Angela shouted when she realized they’d completely exhausted the energy in the area.

"Wow... I didn’t even know such a thing was possible..." Selena remarked with a stunned face.
