"I am listening..." Yohan said as he looked at Ana, who was sitting right next to him. She was nervous and her eyes were downcast. Earlier she wanted to leave, but Yohan stopped her from leaving as he wanted to know what was going on with her; she was technically a part of his family, and if there was anything bothering her, then he was ready to help her out.

​"Young Master Yohan... I want to become a Cultivator." After taking a long time, she finally said it with a straight face, her face all flustered but her gaze remaining unwavering.

​"You what..." He was taken aback hearing Ana; this was the last thing he was expecting her to say. Yohan didn’t know how to react.

​Seeing him reacting that way, a sad look appeared on Ana’s face. Her eyes became teary and she was about to cry, but before she could shed any tears, Yohan cleared his throat.

​"You want to become a Cultivator, huh? I am sorry, you caught me off guard with your words; I was not expecting to hear that!" Yohan said while having a bittersweet smile on his face. He almost forgot that she is a mortal, whilst everyone around him is a cultivator.

​Yohan knew that Ana was somewhat aware of his abilities. Two years ago, when Diya met him, she was simply a normal human being, and after becoming Yohan’s partner, she became a full-fledged Cultivator, breaking her mortal shackles. Ana had seen her growth, and the same went for Natasha.

​"Over the years I hated myself for not doing anything for you. Two years ago, that night I thought I lost you when you got attacked by that assassin. I was standing there helplessly, watching you in Lady Diya’s arms, not able to do anything to ease your pain." At this point, tears started rolling down Ana’s eyes as she finally started opening her heart to him.

​Seeing her like that, Yohan felt an ache in his heart. She was always there for him whenever he needed her, but all of a sudden, she was replaced by Diya.

​After he saved Diya from those goons, Alena had hired her and she started working under Ana, but later Yohan and Diya grew closer and she became his first partner, and after that there was no Ana, only Diya who was looking after him.

​"I still remember the day when I first met you. You were that little boy who was fighting his own demons; I saw something in you that no one had seen. I guess that’s the reason why you let me stay by your side." Ana looked at Yohan as tears rolled down her cheeks.

​"I don’t care about status and all; as long as I am able to serve you, it will make me happy. I don’t even remember the faces of my parents... the only thing I remember is the kindness you and Lady Alena showed to me." Ana added, and with those words, she got up from her seat and bowed her head.

​"I am sorry for saying all of this stuff when so many things are happening around you. Please forgive me for stepping over my boundaries... I shouldn’t have said those things."

​Yohan remained seated on the chair, looking at Ana as she was bowing her head and asking for forgiveness for saying all that stuff.

​’I am such a bad person...’ Yohan inwardly thought, as he never considered how she felt all those years when he simply ignored her. She was someone who was very dear to the previous Yohan, whom he spent his childhood with. He might be a piece of shit with other people around him, but he was very kind to this girl; as long as his memories served, his previous self never crossed any line with her.

​Thinking all of that, Yohan took a deep breath and the next moment he took out small, tiny translucent potion bottles from his spatial ring.

​"How long are you going to stand like that? You might strain your back!" Yohan said as he looked at Ana. The moment she heard those words she looked at him, her face turning red seeing that warmth on Yohan’s face.

​"I am sorry..." Ana whispered with trembling lips. She was trying very hard not to cry, but alas, she couldn’t control her feelings. But deep down in her heart, she was relieved that she let it out; all that frustration that she was carrying finally disappeared.

​"Thank you for bringing yourself and telling me everything that you were carrying in your heart... you already know how clueless I am when it comes to these things," Yohan whispered while having a sad look on his face.

​"You’ve been through so much; it must have been hard for you keeping all of this to yourself."

​"Young master, you don’t have to feel bad or anything. I am just... I think I lost my goddamn mind. I shouldn’t have said those weird things to you." Seeing Yohan like that, Ana moved by his side, panicked, not knowing how to make or cheer him up. The last thing she wanted was to make him feel bad over her feelings that she was having for him.

​Seeing her all that panicked, Yohan burst into laughter, taking Ana by surprise.

​"Young master..." She immediately realized that he was teasing her, just like the old good days when they were having fun together, forgetting worldly matters. Soon a bright smile appeared on Ana’s face, realizing he is still the same man that she served all those years.

​"Please forgive me... I thought you were going to disappear one day and I would never be able to see you again. Whatever I said to you, it was all pure desperation. Please consider this as one of those silly mistakes that I made around you!" she said, looking at Yohan while having a bittersweet smile on her face.

​"Even if you hadn’t said all those things, I would still consider your desire to become a Cultivator!" Finally, Yohan said it, taking Ana by surprise. Her heart thumped and a different kind of feeling crept through her body that she never felt before.

​"If you want to become a Cultivator, then I am going to help you to become one!" Yohan exclaimed as he pushed those small potions in her direction.

​"Young master..." She looked at him with a different gaze, her heart beating like war drums, wondering whether this is a dream or reality.
