He irritably reached out to grab her, wanting to pull her into his arms to calm the restless feeling that left him at a loss.

But just then, Caleb suddenly knocked and entered, saying, "Elder Kinston, you can go to the meeting room now..."

Caleb’s voice came to an abrupt stop. He had been dealing with other matters earlier and wasn’t aware Mabel was here, so he felt a bit awkward at the scene.

Mabel raised her hand and peeled off Kyle’s fingers grasping her wrist, one by one, then said calmly, "You still have work to do, I won’t bother you, I’m heading back now." With that, she put the jacket she was wearing back into her hands and turned to leave.

Kyle’s fingers twitched yet ultimately closed without reaching to grasp her again. Whether she blamed him or resented him now, he would make up for it more in the future, he was sure he could make this slowly fade away.
