Did Alice go to find Daniel Harris? Mabel Quinn considered this possibility. And now, Daniel Harris, under Kyle Kinston’s watchful eye, made such arrangements. Could this be the child’s... last chance to survive?

In an instant, Mabel Quinn felt her heart, dead for so long, suddenly beating fiercely again... Survive, she wanted the child to survive!

Mabel Quinn’s left hand gently turned, her body trembled slightly, and the blood within her seemed to flow again, gradually boiling.

The surgery was over, perhaps due to the sudden relaxation of the nerves taut for days, Mabel Quinn actually fell asleep directly in the hospital room. By the time she woke up, it was already evening, and Kyle Kinston was sitting beside her bed, his dark eyes gazing at her.

"Do you feel uncomfortable anywhere?" he asked.

She shook her head.

He pressed the nurse button by the bed, and before long, a nurse and doctor came by. After conducting an examination, they confirmed there was no problem, and she could be discharged anytime.

After the doctor and nurse left, Mabel Quinn lifted the blanket to get out of bed, but Kyle Kinston held her down and said, "It’s not suitable for you to walk now, let me carry you to the car."

As he said this, he picked her up horizontally, worried that she might catch a cold from the breeze outside the room, he draped a blanket over her.

And Mabel Quinn still said nothing, allowing Kyle Kinston to carry her out of the hospital room, into the car, and back to the Kinston’s Estate.

All the way back, she kept her eyes closed, her body slightly trembling, afraid he would notice anything strange about her and discover something amiss.

He carried her back to the bedroom, gently laying her on the bed, looking at her tightly shut eyes, thinking she was still grieving for the lost child.

It’s alright, given time, she would naturally move on, he could take it slow. He and she had a lifetime together, he could definitely bring a smile to her face, restoring their past dynamic! Kyle Kinston assured himself in thought.

Then he gently stroked her silky hair, sensing her trembling and her slight retreating gesture, as if... she feared, feared his touch.

His gaze flickered, his hand slowly lifting, fingers gradually clenching with difficulty. After a while, he hoarsely said, "Rest well, I’ll sleep in the next room. If you feel unwell, you can call me... or call the servant."

She continued to keep her eyes closed, remaining silent, yet from her slightly trembling body, he knew she wasn’t actually asleep.
