Elder Kinston's Exclusive Sweet Wife
Chapter 1077 - 1116: No One Dares to Take This Case
Butler Kang looked astonished, "What, divorce? Young Madam, you brought up divorce with the Young Master?"
"Yes." She said, "So there’s no need to prepare anything for the wedding either."
"But... but you can’t divorce the Young Master!" Butler Kang became anxious; the Young Madam was the Young Master’s lifeline. If the Young Madam really divorced the Young Master, then would the Young Master end up like the Old Master did back then...
In Butler Kang’s mind, the scene of Easton Kinston, Kyle Kinston’s father, committing suicide years ago suddenly flashed, and his face turned even more ghastly pale.
Such a thing must never happen again in the Kinston Family!
"Young Madam, you absolutely cannot divorce the Young Master. The Young Master cannot lose you. If he didn’t have you, he would—" Before Butler Kang could finish his words, another voice interrupted him.
"Enough, Butler Kang!" Kyle Kinston commanded harshly.
Only then did the two notice that Kyle Kinston had approached them unbeknownst to them.
Butler Kang stiffened, looking worriedly at Kyle Kinston, "Young Master, are you really going to divorce the Young Madam?"
"No, she and I will absolutely not divorce!" he said as he grasped Mabel Quinn’s arm, "Come to the study with me for a moment." She followed him, nearly stumbling in his steps.
Suddenly, he halted as if remembering something and slowed his pace, allowing Mabel Quinn to steady herself.
But Butler Kang was even more worried, thinking about the Kinston Family... hoping desperately that no tragedy would happen again. When, oh when would the cycle of tragedy end?
Once Mabel Quinn entered the study with Kyle Kinston, she couldn’t help but frown and let out a soft cry, "It hurts." Her arm had been tightly grasped by him all along, and it really hurt.
He still had a grim expression but released his grip, "I told you, a divorce between us is impossible! You need not tell others anything about us getting divorced."
"Nothing is impossible," Mabel Quinn said, "Even if you disagree, I will find another way to divorce."
"What, are you going to file a divorce lawsuit against me?" he suddenly sneered, "I can tell you right now, no lawyer would dare take your divorce case, and I won’t give you the chance to divorce me!"
"You—" She was at a loss. She knew well that if he didn’t want a divorce, then insisting on it would be really difficult for her. Even if it took a long time, by then, she would already be visibly pregnant.
"Do you really want to divorce me that much?" His eyes fixated on her intensely.
She remained silent, as he stepped closer, his voice softening, "Mabel, you still love me, don’t you? You’re mad at me, wanting to punish me, right? You can punish me, but don’t use divorce, please? I’ve told you, we are destined to depend on each other for life."
Mabel Quinn still said nothing, and he lowered his head, his lips slowly nearing hers, "Mabel, I love you. In this world, I love only you, and my wife for this lifetime... will only be you."
But Mabel Quinn just stared blankly at his face that loomed larger in front of her eyes. If it were in the past, hearing these words would surely have felt sweet, but now, she felt nothing at all in her heart.
Perhaps she was hurt too deeply, so she became thoroughly cold.
Suddenly, the urge to vomit from morning sickness surged up again. Mabel Quinn abruptly pushed Kyle Kinston away and dashed out of the study, running towards the bedroom.
