Chapter 3583: Finally Ready

It was another few months before Alex left his room once again to socialize with his family and friends. It had been a while since he had seen them, so he was curious how they were doing.

His mother and aunt were still diligently cultivating, but Ronron had begun taking longer between cultivation sessions, as she had other duties as the prime disciple of the Sky God than to just hide away in her room and cultivate.

There were other lessons she had to go through, people she had to meet and learn about. Being the Sky God was more than just one’s cultivation base, so it very much required more from Ronron than any other person in that house.

Graham and Long Huan were cultivating, and they met up with Alex during the few weeks he was out. The older Alex and Emily were supposed to be cultivating as well, but they stopped as it appeared that they had come across a certain issue they hadn’t realized beforehand.

"Our cultivation speed has slowed down tremendously, so we will need to return to your Soul Space again," the older Alex said.

"I understand," Alex said with a nod. "I should’ve told you about this issue earlier, but I missed the opportunity. For now though, you will have to continue cultivating out here. Ronron may have a few things she can help you with if you ask her for them."

"We have been asking," Emily said with a slightly embarrassed look. "But they are just not as good as cultivating under that tree."

Alex couldn’t help but wonder what exactly it must feel like to cultivate underneath the World Tree. As he currently was, it was going to be downright impossible for him to ever experience it at all.

In the case of the older Alex and Emily, because they were born without spirit roots, they had been incapable of cultivating at the start. The only reason they had now become able to cultivate was because Alex had given them Water and Wood roots. As such, they also could only cultivate with Water or Wood Qi exclusively.

They were used to cultivating with those roots underneath the World Tree, which gave off World Qi. However, they were now forced to cultivate in the outside world where the Qi was tainted with different elements. Because of the concentration, their cultivation speed had drastically dropped to a point where Alex wouldn’t even be surprised if they were cultivating at a tenth of their original speed.

"I’m sorry, but you can’t come into the Soul Space right now," Alex told the two in the end. "Whisker and Senior Battlesage are just about done setting up everything, so it will take a few months before I can accept anyone else. You will have to stay out here for the time being."

The two were somewhat disappointed, but there was nothing that could be done by anyone in that situation.

"How about you focus on learning a Dao instead of cultivating instead?" Alex asked. "That should be a much more useful utilization of your time out here."

"I think we will do just that," the other Alex answered.

With that said, the two left.

Alex returned to his room sometime later and started cultivating once again. He was also going through the upgraded Division technique and was making decent progress with it.

Only a month later, Whisker contacted him.

"We’re done, brother. We’re about to start."

Alex stopped cultivating when he heard that and quickly sent his senses into his Soul Space. Inside the massive secret realm floating within a bubble of space, there were now thousands of different Azure Dragon scales fully buried in the ground.

There were over 5,000 scales all throughout the land, with another few hundred spares lying around in case any element of it failed in the future. 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖

"Is everything really prepared?" Alex asked once he surveyed the entire thing.

"It is, brother," Whisker answered. "We’re just about done going through it one last time, but once we’re certain, we can start."

Alex focused on the old man, whose senses reached far and wide, looking through each of the scales that had been driven into the ground with utmost care. Finding a mistake was likely very difficult given the scale of the entire operation, and he had also likely gone through this process multiple times already, so this was the final check.

After a long moment of silence, the old man finally came out of his trance.

"Well, I can’t find anything wrong with anything, and it has all worked during the tests we’ve done, so all that is needed is to see how it will function at the scale we are trying."

"Thank you for everything you’ve done for us, Senior. I can’t think what I might have done without you." Alex was truly grateful toward the old man.

"I’ve done all I can, so now it is your turn," the old man said and walked over to a certain dragon scale that was approximately at the center of the entire realm. "Activate this one. It will require a lot of energy, so beware."

Alex immediately called for Ray, who appeared next to the old man.

"It shall be done!"

Ray clawed at the ground with his third leg while at the same time opening his wings wide. The energy in the surroundings flowed toward him at an exceptional rate. As it flowed, Alex sensed that energy once again.

Vaguely, he got the feeling that the aura of this energy was somewhat similar to Primordial Energy. For the briefest of moments, he wondered if there really was a connection between Half-Gods and Primordials.

But then those thoughts all vanished the moment the scale glowed brightly and the energy shot out of the scale like light rays bending inside a prism. It scattered into many parts, each hitting another scale, which then activated and did the same.

A cascading effect soon formed as one scale activated the others, and within moments, there was not a single scale inside the realm that hadn’t been activated.

And as they all activated together, so did the effects of the script formation the old man had prepared.
