He had his soldiers guard the national gate, refusing to let Wei Tu’s forces take a single step across. For the moment, Wei Tu, Zhuoyi, and the others were helpless.

Wei Tu tossed the armor Yan Zhen had left behind to Baru, who caught it. Behind him, a Deputy watched Yan Zhen’s departing figure, seemed to recall something, and whispered in Baru’s ear. Baru’s face filled with utter disbelief.
