With Yan Zhen’s safe return, General Wei breathed a quiet sigh of relief. He specially invited Guo Wei and his two disciples to stay for a few days. Guo Wei saw this was a rare opportunity for Chu Lingguang to meet a rival and confidant like Yan Zhen, so he naturally wouldn’t miss this chance.

He also arranged for Chu Lingguang and Yan Zhen to have some time alone, while he himself accompanied Wei Tu to patrol the National Border. Wei Tu was the Guardian General and had been stationed in the Northern Capital Territory for many years. His hard work and great contributions had earned Guo Wei’s deep respect. Similarly, Wei Tu had witnessed Guo Wei’s power. The morale of the border guards had skyrocketed after Guo Wei slaughtered the Turkic forces, and Wei Tu held a mutual admiration for Guo Wei.

The two exchanged a few blows along the National Border, and Wei Tu experienced the power of the Flying Leaf Lotus Spear firsthand. However, because Guo Wei was nursing an internal injury, neither of them could go all out.

"So this is the Divine Image Small Vortex?"

In an empty clearing behind the barracks, Yan Zhen revealed his sixth Dharma Aspect: the Divine Image.

Chu Lingguang stared in utter amazement at the small vortexes swirling across Yan Zhen’s Qi Phase Scale Armor.

"Thrust at me."

Yan Zhen said.

"Alright!"

WHOOSH!

Chu Lingguang didn’t hesitate. With his current power, Yan Zhen could kill him in an instant. ’Even with a full-power thrust,’ he thought, ’I won’t be able to break through his Small Vortexes.’

And just as he’d expected, when the Long Spear struck Yan Zhen, it was immediately stopped by the vortexes on his armor.

He had expected the Small Vortexes to have a powerful suction force, but to his surprise, they actually pushed outward, repelling his attack. Even using all his might and channeling his Divine Image Power, he could only make the spearhead pierce the very edge of a vortex. He couldn’t even get close to the Qi Phase Scale Armor beneath it.

Chu Lingguang realized with a sense of despair.

’If I had fought Little Prince Andenuk that day, he could have made himself invincible just by activating his sixth Dharma Aspect and channeling his Qi Sea Power.’

’I once deluded myself into thinking I could last a dozen or so rounds against him. Now I see I’d probably be slapped to death in under ten.’

Faced with such a powerful being, Chu Lingguang felt a daze come over him. ’Can I ever become as strong as Yan Zhen?’

What Chu Lingguang didn’t notice, however, was that when his Long Spear had thrust toward Yan Zhen, Yan Zhen’s brow had furrowed slightly.

Chu Lingguang’s very flesh and blood resonated with his Spear Technique. As the Long Spear thrust out, a peculiar ripple bypassed Yan Zhen’s defenses and manifested over his heart.

Though Yan Zhen felt no discomfort, he clearly sensed a power seeping through, like the light prick of a needle.

’With Chu Lingguang’s current strength, I can afford to ignore that power,’ Yan Zhen thought. ’But as he grows, that power will also strengthen considerably. A day might come when I have to use my full strength to face even a single one of his thrusts.’

"Yan, your Dharma Aspect is too strong. I’m no match for you."

Chu Lingguang conceded, completely humbled.

"You’ve taken the Bone Marrow Cleansing Liquid and obtained the Pure True Body. The sixth Dharma Aspect isn’t far off for you. Listen closely to the sound of my Divine Image activating."

Yan Zhen wanted to help Chu Lingguang break through to the sixth Dharma Aspect.

"Alright."

Chu Lingguang understood his intent and didn’t dare waste a second. He released his Spiritual Sense, listening intently for the response from Yan Zhen’s body.

HUMMM!

Right in front of Chu Lingguang, Yan Zhen activated his Dharma Aspects, one layer after another, up to the sixth.

As the sixth Dharma Aspect—the Divine Image—erupted, Chu Lingguang’s Spiritual Sense allowed him to perceive something astonishing. The Small Vortexes appearing over the Qi Phase Scale Armor were not formed from the power within Yan Zhen’s Qi Sea. Instead, they were the Power of Heaven and Earth, clinging to the surface of his body.

He recalled how back in the Trial Ground, both Yun Hong and Poisonous Snake had said the sixth Dharma Aspect, the Divine Image, involved the Power of Heaven and Earth flowing through the body. He hadn’t fully understood it at the time. Now, however, as he watched the trajectory of Yan Zhen’s Divine Image formation and clearly perceived with his Spiritual Sense a stream of Heaven and Earth Power being harnessed by Yan Zhen to create the sixth Dharma Aspect, a glimmer of understanding dawned on him.

"The resonance for the Divine Image doesn’t just happen in the body, but also in the Qi Sea and even the Sea of Consciousness. When you find a power within your Sea of Consciousness or Qi Sea that resonates with the outside world, you will be able to unlock the sixth Dharma Aspect."

Chu Lingguang nodded and activated his fifth Dharma Aspect, causing the Qi Phase Scale Armor to materialize on his body. He then began to carefully sense the aura of the world around him.

His Spiritual Sense had evolved and he had taken the Bone Marrow Cleansing Liquid, making it relatively easy for him to find the resonance within his own body. But unlocking the sixth Dharma Aspect required his own power to resonate with the outside world’s aura. For now, Chu Lingguang could only use his Spiritual Perception to try and sense that external aura.

With Yan Zhen’s help, while he didn’t immediately grasp the knack for unlocking the sixth Dharma Aspect, he at least now had a path forward.

Then, Yan Zhen unleashed his Primitive Power.

The three levels of Dragon Elephant Power.

The first level is True Dragon Power, the second is Divine Image Power, and the third is Primitive Power.

Each level requires a corresponding Dharma Aspect to support and sustain it.

Bone Aspect corresponds to True Dragon.

Qi Phase corresponds to Divine Image.

Divine Image corresponds to the Barbaric Wilderness.

Chu Lingguang saw that when Yan Zhen used his Primitive Power, the Divine Image Small Vortexes all resonated. It was as if a force was trying to burst out from within Yan Zhen’s flesh, and these Small Vortexes were what controlled that power, allowing it to be released from his body in a controlled manner.

"Primitive Power is the ultimate evolution of Dragon Elephant Power. This power awakens from within your blood and lineage, but it is also inextricably linked to external forces. When you can feel the Power of Heaven and Earth pouring into you and are able to grasp it firmly using your Divine Image Power, you will have successfully awakened Primitive Power."

"Once you master this power and simultaneously unlock the sixth Dharma Aspect, your combat strength will skyrocket. Even with only the power of a Qi Sea Minor Achievement, you’ll be able to threaten an expert at Qi Sea Great Success—provided, of course, that they haven’t also unlocked the sixth Dharma Aspect or mastered Primitive Power."
