He pulled out a healing potion. He only had two remaining.

He drank it.

’Arisha looked bad. She will be eliminated soon.’

Noah looked at the other side where Damien sat. He was looking at Noah.

’Let’s have one last talk with him in this VR world.’

Noah dashed toward Damien.

Soon enough, he was standing in front of him.

The black-haired young man pushed himself up to stand.

With a strained and concerned expression, Damien said, "N-Noah... you should go and help Arisha."

With a calm face, Noah replied, "Yes... but I don’t think it’s a good idea. I will not be helpful to her. Travis is too strong. We two won’t be enough to defeat him."

Damien’s eyes burned with determination as he said, "Then let’s go together. I will fight as well."

Noah sighed.

With a slightly tired expression, he said, "Damien. You are too weak currently. You are like a common man right now."

With a furious expression, Damien asked, "Then what do you think we should do? Lose here?"

To which Noah smiled playfully.

With a light tone, he said, "Lose? No! No! I have a better idea."

With a confused expression, Damien asked, "What?"

With a calm smile, Noah replied, "It’s quite simple. But first... I want you to believe in me."

Damien observed Noah’s playful expression, as if the current situation was not dire at all. He remembered how Noah handled things during the incident in the academy. By no means was he untrustworthy.

With a serious expression, Damien said, "Okay... what is it? Tell me. How can we win in this situation?"

Noah stepped closer.

With a calm voice, he said, "Listen now. It’s very simple. Firstly, you don’t have to get angry about it."

Noah remained very close to Damien.

Damien narrowed his eyes and, with confusion, asked, "Why? Why angry?"

Noah’s ocean-blue eyes were calm. There was a gentle smile on his handsome face.

With a soft voice, he said, "Well... because of this."

Noah’s left hand, holding the dagger, moved and thrust into Damien’s stomach.

"Arrgh!" Damien buckled, his expression twisting in shock and pain. His sword fell to the ground.

He was taken aback by the sudden attack. He was already exhausted and in a weakened state. Since Noah was his teammate, he hadn’t been on guard. The attack came out of nowhere, giving him no time to react.

Damien stared at his stomach where the dagger was embedded.

He looked up, only to see a sword thrusting toward him.

With disbelief and pain, he shouted, "Noah! What are you doing?"

He tried to pull away, but he was too late.

More blood splattered as the sword thrust deeper and came out from Damien’s back.

His body started to glitch as he vanished.

The dagger fell to the ground and then shattered into tiny ice particles.

Noah watched everything with a gentle and satisfied smile. With a casual expression, he muttered, "Now that went well... but I have to handle him outside. Damn! Talk about so much work."

The distant sound of battle between Arisha and Travis also stopped.

’It’s ended.’

Noah turned back to see Travis standing meters away.

Staring at Noah with a cold expression.

With anger, Travis shouted, "Noah Eldritch!! What have you done?"

He kicked off the ground and dashed toward Noah with a furious expression.

In just a few seconds, he was already upon Noah.

Clang!!

Swords met against each other.

With a slightly strained expression, Noah said, "Hey Travis! Listen to me first, man!"

With anger, Travis replied, "What is there to listen? You eliminated Michael out of nowhere."

Noah clenched his teeth and pushed Travis back. He lunged backward and created distance between them.

With a furious expression, Travis yelled, "That was not what we had decided!!"

He was breathing heavily.

Noah raised both his hands and apologized.

With a serious expression, he said, "I am sorry, Travis. But listen to me first."

With irritation, Travis asked, "What?"

With a firm tone, Noah said, "Listen. Firstly, Damien was watching us fight. I couldn’t remain hidden and do nothing. If I did that, he would have become suspicious."

He walked toward Travis.

While Travis lowered his raised sword.

With a frustrated expression, Travis said, "Then you should have fought and then gotten eliminated by him."

With a calm face, Noah replied, "And why is that? I also wanted some points. Because of our plan, I made the whole building fall. Let more than half the students get eliminated in it. Everything was gone like that."

With a slightly calmer tone, Travis said, "Okay, I get that! But why eliminate Damien? He was the commander. Eliminating him gives four hundred points!!"

Noah smiled at that. He walked closer to Travis.

With a casual tone, he said, "Hah... because he asked me to."

Now Travis looked surprised. "What do you mean?"

With a calm expression, Noah replied, "He didn’t want to give you his commander points. We were going to lose anyway. So he asked me to eliminate him. I was also surprised. I asked him why he didn’t just eliminate himself. To which he replied that it’s better for me to do that. Maybe killing teammates also gives us points."

With a slight shrug, Noah continued, "So I did what he said. I couldn’t deny him. He trusts me, after all. You do know Damien and I were on friendly terms."

Travis looked down, clenching his teeth.

With anger, he muttered, "That bastard!! He didn’t want me to rank up. Didn’t want to give me his points!!"

Noah shook his head and stepped even closer. He now stood right in front of him.

He stored his sword back into his storage ring and placed his free right hand on Travis’s left shoulder.

With a gentle smile, Noah said, "I am sorry, Travis. But I completed my promise to help you win this battle. Congratulations. Your class won."

Travis sighed. His grip on the sword loosened.

With frustration, he said, "Dammit. Fuck it!... at least my class won." He looked at Noah.

With a resolved expression, Travis said, "Now let me eliminate you."

With a calm and kind smile, Noah replied, "Of course. Attack me."

Travis looked at Noah.

With a slight smirk, he said, "You are actually smart." 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢

He pulled back his hand holding the sword, preparing to thrust it into Noah.

With a casual tone, Noah replied, "Me? And smart? No! No! I am just a little better compared to average people."

The sword thrust forward to eliminate Noah.

Thud!

Clang!

Ice burst into the air.

Travis was looking at Noah’s face, so he didn’t see the thick layer of ice forming over Noah’s stomach where his sword struck.

It shattered the ice but did not pierce into his stomach.

At the same time, Noah’s palm moved toward Travis’s neck.

A sharp spike made of ice formed in his palm. In a second, it thrust into the side of Travis’s neck.

Blood splattered.

"Arrrghh!!" Travis screamed in pain.

The pain of something sharp tearing into his neck was agonizing.

Noah smirked and moved his palm deeper into his neck. Blood sprayed into the air as Noah lunged back from Travis.

He fell, clutching his neck.

With a horrified and pained expression, he said, "N-Noah!!"

His body started to glitch as he vanished.
