Extra's Pov: The Goddess Wants Me To Conquer Milfs
Chapter 44: Legion
Moment ago.
Legion could be seen standing casually in the middle of the stage, his posture relaxed, almost indifferent, when he suddenly... vanished.
The crowd were stunned and dumbfounded.
"Where did he go?" someone questioned in shock, his voice breaking the silence.
The crowd glanced around, frozen in shock and surprise, their eyes darting wildly as they searched for the figure of Legion.
Suddenly, they noticed a low rumble coming from Blue Whale’s direction, drawing their attention toward him.
The moment the crowd saw Legion standing there, completely unharmed, their hearts nearly leapt out of their throats in shock, a chill running down their spines.
How was this possible?
How was it possible for one to vanish and reappear?
Most of them didn’t know about the existence of the space element, so their hearts were filled with shock and an instinctive fear of the unknown.
Logan, on the other hand, couldn’t care less.
He glanced at the announcer, his gaze calm and expectant, waiting for him to declare him as the victor of the match.
The announcer was also in immense shock, his mind still reeling, but he quickly forced himself to recover.
He cleared his throat, his mouth going dry as he spoke.
"The winner is Legion!"
He lingered for a bit, his eyes flickering toward Logan before asking,
"Legion, do you wish to continue fighting above ranks? Or is that it for today?"
Logan thought for a bit.
The previous challenge had been nothing worth much to him. There had been no pressure, no real resistance. It would be better if he could encounter someone that would at least restrict him to a great extent, forcing him into a corner.
With that in mind, Logan nodded, his deep voice echoing across the arena.
"I will continue the challenges."
The announcer nodded and immediately called out the next fighter.
However, the moment the battle commenced...
"I admit defeat."
The challenger didn’t even wait for the battle to start.
The announcer twitched his lips repeatedly before calling the next person.
"Dreamspawn,"
"I admit defeat."
"Hoven."
"I admit defeat."
One had to know that each match was worth ten gold coins.
As his opponents resigned five times in a row, Legion had earned fifty gold coins without doing anything.
At this point, a vein was practically bulging on the announcer’s head.
If no one accepted the challenge, and Legion remained on stage, his money would just keep increasing.
It was a loophole that could guarantee an almost endless amount of wealth. At least until the arena went bankrupt.
He called two more times, and both participants resigned.
Suddenly, just as he was sinking into despair, the voice of the leader entered his mind.
"Hey, give the kid what he’s earned so far and send him out. He’s banned from coming to the arena."
The announcer was stunned by the words.
Banned?
The fight arena was a free, lawless place. They had never banned anyone.
However, he could understand why.
With that, he turned to Legion.
"Please come with me."
The announcer stepped onto the stage.
Logan pondered for a bit, his eyes narrowing slightly, then followed the announcer off the stage.
Meanwhile, the excitement from the crowd hadn’t died down in the slightest.
"To think Legion has such a fearsome image that even those above ranks are unwilling to challenge him!"
"Heh... have you seen what the headlines are saying?" 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞
Another quickly checked his phone, only to realize that the news of what had just transpired was spreading like wildfire.
{A young man known as Legion threatens to send an underground fight arena bankrupt due to how terrifying his combat capabilities are!}
{Unknown man called Legion defeats 10 fighters in a row, and comes back the next day to challenge a usurper.}
Footage of the previous battle also spread across the internet, as netizens began cooking up all sorts of stories and theories.
Some even vaguely believed that the academy would be actively looking to recruit the young man.
If he could participate in the intercountry competition...
...
Unaware of what was happening online, Logan walked behind the announcer, who led him out of the arena bustling with life and noise.
As they entered the passage, the announcer no longer hesitated.
"The boss says I should give you this." He handed Logan a pouch containing 120 gold coins. Seventy was from the seven who had resigned, while fifty was from killing Blue Whale. Due to his death, the bonus had been multiplied five times.
Logan collected the bag of gold coins and glanced at the announcer in slight suspicion.
"Also... he says you’re banned from coming to the arena."
Logan paused slightly, then nodded without saying a word.
With nothing left to do here, he began walking out at an even pace.
Staring at the departing back of Legion, the announcer heaved a sigh of relief, mixed faintly with regret.
Logan touched his mask lightly, a wry smile appearing on his face.
He had... kind of expected this.
Shaking his head, he didn’t think too much about it.
But that also meant he had to look for another means to battle.
Based on his knowledge, this wasn’t the only underground arena in the city. If he could get to another one close by...
Logan’s thoughts trailed off.
"Hey... Legion."
His thoughts were interrupted by a gentle, feminine voice coming from the side.
He turned and realized it was Cecilia.
She tugged a strand of hair behind her ear and spoke with a small smile, "About the address you gave me previously."
Logan’s expression shifted slightly. He had completely forgotten he gave Cecilia an address to meet him.
He pondered for a bit before speaking up.
"On Saturday night?"
Cecilia considered his words briefly before nodding.
She smiled, a hint of excitement slipping through, her chatty side finally showing up.
"Are you coming tomorrow?"
Logan shook his head.
"I’ve been banned. I can no longer come here."
A look of shock appeared on Cecilia’s face, followed quickly by disappointment.
She glanced at Logan and bit her lip slightly before mumbling under her breath.
"I’ll try to talk to my father about it."
Logan didn’t hold much expectation toward that conversation.
It was almost certain her father wouldn’t agree.
"I’ll be heading off now," Logan said simply.
It was time to retire for the night.
Cecilia nodded.
Her lips parted as though she wanted to say something, but in the end, she kept silent.
Logan left, seeing she had nothing more to add.
The walk home was brief.
However, as Logan drew closer to his apartment, a faint wave of dread settled over his heart.
Should he turn around and just sleep in a hotel for the night?
He wasn’t ready to encounter Daenerys just yet.
As his legs carried him toward the apartment, he continued to weigh his decision.
In the end, he decided to head in.
He didn’t believe Daenerys would come two days in a row.
That would be on another level of crazy.
Taking a steady breath, Logan stepped into the apartment.
His expression froze almost instantly.
Daenerys was seated on the couch in the parlor, her legs resting casually to the side, her posture relaxed, revealing her alluring side profile and full curves.
Her eyes were lowered lazily to her phone, a lollipop in her mouth.
The sound from the phone echoed clearly in the apartment.
{Unknown man called Legion defeats 10 fighters in a row, and comes back the next day to challenge a usurper.}
She glanced up.
Even through the glasses, Logan could feel her gaze settle on him.
"Logan..." she paused, her eyes lowering slightly, her voice soft, low, and sultry, "or should I call you, Legion?"
She lingered for a bit, letting the silence stretch, before adding,
"You’ve been a very bad boy recently..."
