However, the current situation was far from normal; it was a sacrificial slaughter, with beheading merely a ritual of slaughter.

At the moment of decapitation, Gaven’s left hand glowed with a blood-red light, which directly penetrated the bodies of these True Shadows, destroying them from within, and ultimately transforming into a blood-red light that merged into the bodies of the Shadow Officers.

This bestowed upon them a special ability belonging to Shadows—Shadow Fusion.

True Shadows are still shadows, and the ability unlocked for slaughter evolution is naturally the same.

Shadow Fusion and Shadow Possession are just perfect Commander abilities, especially when you are in control of mass-producing Corpse Giants and Shadow Flyers.

They can use this ability to merge with these Corpses Monsters, gaining direct control over them and unleashing formidable combat abilities.

This has the same effect as Gaven’s Superstate Transformation, creating an effect greater than one plus one equaling two.

With Intelligence, the same ability exercises a vastly different combat power.

These Shadow Officers may not know Gaven’s plans, but their soldier-like faith makes them obey unconditionally.

"You too." Gaven turned to Amanda, who was following him like a little shadow.

"Ah..." Little Ghost had not expected to be involved, and her small face instinctively scrunched up.

Plus, she was highly diligent, learning everything at Weizemay Manor day and night.

Gaven wasn’t even sure what exactly she learned, given the vast number of Ghost Shadows imprisoned at Shadow Manor, colorful and mixed, with some experts from various fields mingling, and Amanda being the half-owner there had the right to employ them as her teachers.
