Chapter 237: 236. The Dark Vampires 1

The night came quickly and soon the moon stood beautifully in the sky, letting down its light and sharing it. While others went to sleep, some were captured by its light or just sitting out or next to their windows watching the stars and feeling the cold night wind brushing against their skin. The vampires stood before the entrance of a cave that was well hidden from the sight of any human.

The huge black double doors were forced open revealing iron bars which were also opened. Dmitri walked ahead of the others and they followed him cautiously their eyes scanning the dark space they walked through the gh in case there would be any danger. Coming down here was already dangerous enough, there was the risk of the creatures that would wake tonight running out of control and killing them but could not leave their leader alone to deal with it. They had to trust that he would be able to keep them all under control.

"jeep the humans outside and shut the door, rye less blind the smell, the better," Dmitri instructed. Azrail walked beside him while Leroy stopped to go back and pass the instruction.

"You want here," lord Dmitri said to the young vampires following them. "Have Leiry cone in the moment he returns," he walked away with Azraul and the course sighed, relieved to know that they didn’t have to go too close to the danger that waited further down the cave.

"Understood," They all said.

Lord Dmutru and Azrail walked until they got to another set of bars, but these were made of silver. It was a precaution that they needed to take in case any of the creatures down here were to take up. They would have to find a way out of the Silver bars before heading to the other and the door that was also had a touch of silver to it, though it was painted black.

It got darker the further they went and it also became colder. Had anyone else been there like maybe a witch, they would be using torches and costs to cover themselves in other to prevent the child and illuminate the place even if it was only the path where they stepped.

"Should open the roof to let in the moon?" Azrail asked when they stopped moving and stared at the number of the sleeping creatures. Though they slept, they looked more like they were dead than asleep. Their chest did not rise and fall as it should be. They lay like corpses. The place stunk badly but that didn’t bother them.

"The smallest whiff of the humans around would make them go feral," he said and Azrail nodded understanding what he meant. "The roof shall be open when the moon is needed."

A moment later, Leroy caught up with them and brought along with him, a small bottle that contained the most important ingredient needed to wake them. He stopped when he came to see what the creatures looked up close. He had seen their images in paintings and heard of them in stories told about them but never got the chance to see them this close. Even while immobile, they still manage to send shivers down his spine. Ever since Dmitri started working on waking them, he had been tasked with other things and hadn’t had a chance to see them until now.

"I can smell your fear, Leroy," Lord Dmitri said. Brooke’s away from the creatures and then at Leroy. "The will too, if you don’t stop it."

"I am sorry, my lord," Leeoy apologized as he tried to get his emotions under check.

"This is your first step for them so I understand why are fearful. Do you have the bottle with you?" He asked and Leroy nodded fiddling his jacket’s pocket a bit before finding what he was looking for.

"Here it is, my Lord," he said and placed it in the open palm.

"It is time, prepare to open the roof on my command," Dmitri said walking from them and closer to the sleeping vampires.

Leroy looked at the bottle in his hand and then at the number of creatures it would have to wake and wondered if it would be enough.

"I am supposed to be here while this happens," Lucunda appeared behind the vampires with light glowing from her hands to see what was around her.

Hearing her voice and Knowing that she was behind them, Azrail tensed because of her presence and the fact that she would be in danger if those things were to turn their attention to her.

"The light is not needed here, they won’t be so happy to wake to such a blinding light in their cave," Leroy said, glaring at her.

"You are being too noisy, have you thought about that? They’ll wake up angry because they heard you talk," Lucinda said, but eventually put out the light and darkness returned to the cave. She led a few words which they heard but she didn’t care. She mumbled a spell to her with her vision, she wouldn’t want any surprise attacks that would have her life flashing before her eyes.

Let’s looked frustrated when he heard because it was true that they wouldn’t want to be disturbed by the noise the moment they gained consciousness. While Azrail. just stared at the witch, amused by how she replied to Leroy. He took some backward towards where she stood to make sure that she would not be in danger later and if she was, he would be there the protect her.

While they glared at each other, Dmitri walked to stand at the head of the first creature and unsealed the bottle. He let a drop of its content which was the blood of the Mystic wolf fall its head and he moved to another and did the same. He walked around all of them and let a drop of Gaia’s blood on them. After a while, he was at the last one. He stopped and watched them, there was still no movement from them but he knew better. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦

"Open the roof," he ordered.
