Fated To The Dark Alpha
Chapter 274: Gaia didn’t Mind
Kora lay fast asleep while the children were in the caring hands of Darren, Dana, Lazarus, and Emily. Everyone tried as much as they could to be silent and not wake but it was hard to keep their excitement in especially, Ezra who still couldn’t believe thy Lira had suddenly become a mother and not just one child but four of them.
Emily looked shy, holding the baby, afraid she would hurt it. Her worries died down when she looked at how nervous Darren was. Compared to him, she’ll call herself a pro.
But unlike them, Dana and Lazarus, who had raised an infant before, were relaxed and carried the little ones without worries.
"Wait, shouldn’t they be sleeping now, too?" Emily asked. She looked at Kora, who was drained and sound asleep, and wondered if she would be sleeping like that if she were in her position.
"They are active, live them Be. If you are tired, I can hold him or her. Which is it?" Ezra asked. No one had talked about the children’s gender yet, and everyone was curious to know. Were they all girls or boys, or were they mixed?
I don’t see how that should concern you," Darren butted in, and Ezra frowned. "It doesn’t matter whether you know it or not. Nothing will change." Darren barely looked away from the little life in his hands as he spoke.
"And I wonder what she saw in you," Ezra said and went ahead to take the child from Emily and chuckled and stepped aside after making sure the baby was well placed in his arms.
"Please put them down and stop talking. They need to rest as well," Sophia came back after changing her coat and gloves. Fana and Lazarus had already put the other two to sleep while everyone made a ruckus arguing about the children being awake when they should be sleeping. "Give Luna space as well. She needs her rest. I will call you all back when she is awake.

The news of the children’s birth spread very quickly, and before anyone knew it, every shifter was aware of the new lives even Dmitri and Cillia quickly received the news.
"She didn’t die after all," Dmitri clicked his tongue, but a smile crept on his lips. He twirled the cup filled with blood in his hand and then nodded his head. "Should we go and visit them now or give them some time?" He asked Azrail and Leroy.
"It would be best to give them some time. The children have just been born," Azrail uttered, and Leroy nodded his head, agreeing to that.
"Alright, I will do as you have said,’’ while they talked, Cillia walked in. "Is the coven alright?" She didn’t look happy, so he thought it must have something to do with her coven.
"Crysta is dead," Cillia revealed, but Dmitri failed to see the downside of the news. "This is a big blow to the coven Dmitri. She may have been a traitor, but she was still a powerful witch, one who raised our ranks and gave the young ones inspiration."
Dmitri looked at Azrail, who held his gaze.
"One is dead, but two are out there that you can recruit," Dmitri said, referring to Lucy and Lucinda. I believe they are more inspiring than the dead one."
"You never liked her," Cillia stated.
"I never liked any witch beside you, my dear Cillia" Dmitri countered. Cillia sighed and shook her head.
"I will take my leave now, My Lord,’ Azrail uttered with a curt bow before he turned around and left.
"As would I," Leroy said, also leaving, and all Dmitri did was wave a hand to them.
The room didn’t seem that comfortable for them anymore with Cillia. Something might go on, and they didn’t want to be the outsider among them.
"I can’t believe you are drinking now. You just killed almost thousands of humans a moment ago. You could have had your fill there," she said as she walked to sit beside him.
"I like my meals served nicely and with style. I do not feed amid chaos such as that. I wouldn’t be able to properly savor the taste," Dmiri replied. His left hand made its way around Cillia’s body as he pulled her closer. "I thought you knew this already?"

Recovery through the aftermath of the war didn’t seem that stressful anymore. Everyone seems to have found a newfound strength to work and rebuild, especially the members of the Blood Moon Pack, now known as the Silver Mystery Pack, and the members of The Shadow Moon Pack
The most damaged pack was the Shadow Moon Pack which had nearly its buildings burnt down.
As those who were sent to the safe houses returned, the good news didn’t take long to reach their eyes, and Council Elders quickly made their way to visit the newborn Alphas.
Everyone made their way to the Blackstorm Pack, and those who were already there waited for when the Luna would wake.
"Congratulations Alpha, you are officially a father today," Levi said. The four had just arrived and found everyone being sent out of the room, so they also knew they couldn’t go to see the Luna and little Alphas now.
"Congratulations, Alpha," they chorused.
Darren smiled, happy that everything was all over, and this was how it was crowned. The birth of his children.
Before the sun could rise and Kora woke up, the packs began cleaning up while Darren went to have a meeting with the Alphas and Elders.
"The Shadow Moon Pack was destroyed, and the people don’t where to stay for the time being, so I asked those whose packs sustained minimum damage to accommodate them until then. Hotels would be enough. This is not only the Shadow Moon Pack by every other packs that need a long time to rebuild.
"The Silver Mystery Pack can take a fee," Lazarus was the first to speak. Kora and the children would be returning there so, taking a few more homeless shifters wasn’t a bad idea.
"The Blackstorm Pack as well."
"The Crescent Moon Pack can also take a few."
"The Silver River Pack...."
One after another the Alphas volunteered to house a few of the other packs. It was impressive that a war could help unify the people who secretly loathe each other.
"Thank you all," Darren said as he stood. But before he could leave, he recited a midlink. Everyone saw as his eyes glazed over and waited for whatever the news was that was shared with him and wondered if it would also be shared with them. "Your Luna is awake," he revealed before leaving the room with happy steps as he went to the hospital to meet his mate.
The Alphas and Elders followed as they too were eager to meet the new Alpha family and Congratulate the young Luna.
Kora was met lying on the bed with a baby in her arms, a wide smile on her lips, and tender eyes as she looked at the little one. After holding one for a while, it was taken away by Sophia and Emily would place another in her arms. They wanted her to hold them all but since it was not possible to hold four babies at once, this was the only way. Once taken from her, the baby would be placed inside the pen.
After giving the last of them, she stood up and approached the pen to keep her inside by herself. She stood there holding the pen and looking at her children with so many emotions.
Feeling the familiar and comforting presence behind her, she leaned on him. After he came in, everyone else left to give them some space.
"Have you thought of their names yet?" Darren asked in a whisper. He held and hugged her from behind and his eyes were on the sleeping one.
"Wouldn’t you want to name them too?" She asked but he smiled and shook his head.
"You should pick. Whatever you choose will be fine," he said but Kora pinched him. "Fine, I will pick a name. His eyes went to the firstborn and the only baby boy among the four. "How about Alex?" He asked, looking at her.
"You mean Alexander?"
"Mhm," he hummed.
"It’s good, I like it," Kora Agreed.
"Now it’s your turn," he kissed her cheek and her smile broadened.
"Her name would be, Zuri," she pointed to the one next to Alex, and then to the third and fourth she said, "Should be Dara, and then she would be Kiara." Kora’s smile never left as she named them.
"Zuri, Dara, and Kiara it is then."

At the Silver Mystery Pack
The group returned to the pack house, while everyone was busy, Darren led Kora to their room. He closed the door behind them and then led her to the bed where she sat down.
"I know the time is wrong but we barely have any time right now. We need to talk about what was taken from you," he looked intently at her while she looked out the window. "My love," he called and she looked at him.
"It’s nothing severe. Gaia and I are alright," Kora replied but he was not satisfied. Darren wanted to know exactly what it was. "I lost my powers and Gaia would never reincarnate again. This is her last life. If I die, she dies and that’s the end. Gaia didn’t mind."
Darren just pulled her into an embrace. He didn’t know what to say that would be enough to comfort her. This was all he could offer her right now.
