Flash Marriage: My Penniless Billionaire Husband
Chapter 109: Your Jealousy Is So Obvious
Janice walked around the room.
Is this Christopher’s former room?
She glanced around and found that the decoration was exactly the same as that of his apartment.
But it was so simple, it looked out of place in such a luxurious mansion.
Her eyes fell on the storage cabinet by the wall. She couldn’t help walking over to the rows of trophy.
Champion of the Youth Science and Technology Competition. The top honors for the science and technology tournament. "Patent for!!!"
Those awards and trophies were dazzling. Janice only felt that her heart was trembling from surprise.
She had always known Christopher was outstanding, but she didn’t expect that he was so brilliant since he was a child.
So he was a genius.
Her eyes swept over the awards one by one, and finally fell on the photo frame on the bedside table. In the photo, Christopher looked about ten years old. He was wearing a black suit, and he looked to be in an exhibition. He stood there, cool and unsmiling.
This was no different from what he is now.
"He has been handsome since he was a child and is so outstanding. How could he not be well-liked by girls?"
She walked over, picked up the photo frame, and stroked his face.
"If only you weren’t so outstanding."
She sighed as she murmured. Then she put the photo frame back and turned to walk to the bathroom.
Christopher parked the car outside the villa and got out.
Hearing the sound of a car, Nanny came out to open the door.
"Sir?"
Christopher nodded and walked inside. "Is Grandpa asleep?"
Nanny said, "Sir is in his room."
Christopher was about to ask about Janice when he saw his grandfather walking out
of the bedroom.
He quickly walked over.
"Grandpa, where’s Janice?" Those were the first words Christopher said.
Old Mr. Allson glanced at him and said, "She’s your wife, why do you ask me?"
He puffed out a gust of air and sat down on the sofa in the living room, looking like he didn’t want to talk
Christopher frowned and followed him. "Didn’t you just call to say that she’s here?"
Old Mr. Allson snorted. "And you just believe me. Don’t you know to ask her yourself."
Christopher said, "I called her, but she didn’t answer."
"You claimed you didn’t bully her. So why didn’t she answer your call? Tell me, what on earth did you do?"
Old Mr. Allson questioned relentlessly.
Christopher felt wronged. What was going on?
"Forget it. I won’t talk to you anymore. I’ll go and find her myself."
The villa was only so big, he could definitely find her.
He turned around and was about to leave.
"She’s in your room."
Old Mr. Allson said huffily.
Christopher paused for a moment before walking towards his bedroom upstairs.
When he entered the bedroom, he didn’t see Janice, but heard the sound of water coming from the bathroom.
"Is she taking a shower?"
He walked over quietly and leaned against the bathroom door to listen. Just as he was about to push the door open, the door suddenly opened from the inside.
Christopher got a shock, then he quickly pretended not to be doing anything. He stood up straight.
Janice had wrapped herself in a bath towel and was about to walk out when she saw Christopher standing outside the door. She was shocked.
"You... why are you here?"
In her shock, the bath towel on her body almost fell, and she quickly reached out to hold it up.
The brief sight of her bare skin was still caught by Christopher. He looked away and
coughed.
"Since you are not home, I have to come over."
Janice wanted to ask how he knew she was here. But since it was his grandfather’s house, it was normal for him to know.
So she merely said, "Get out of the way and let me out."
...
He blocked the bathroom door with no intention of letting her through.
Janice was stuck, so she frowned and raised her eyebrows at Christopher.
Only then did Christopher step aside.
Janice went out of the bathroom and came to the bed. She took the pajamas and was about to return to the bathroom to change.
"Why are you not going home?"
Christopher stared at her and asked.
At this moment, Janice did not feel like answering his question.
She just wanted to change into the pajamas because she was naked inside the towel. She tried to go around Christopher, but he hugged her from behind.
Janice was stunned. "Let go of me first."
"No I won’t, unless you tell me clearly why you came to grandpa’s place."
His face was on her back, and he was hot.
Janice felt uncomfortable all over.
"I... I’m just tired. I didn’t want to run around, so I thought I’d rest here for a night."
"You’re not telling the truth."
Christopher persisted.
Janice bit her lip. "I’m telling the truth."
"If you don’t tell me, I would hold you like this the whole night." Christopher kept his arms around her.
Janice struggled but failed to break free. She was a little angry. How could he be so shameless?
"Stop teasing, okay?"
Christopher said, "I’ve seen all of you. Why are you still avoiding me when you’re changing?"
"I..."
Janice blushed and did not want to argue with him. "This is grandpa’s house. Don’t mess around."
Christopher smiled wickedly. "This is my room. No one dares to come in."
Janice felt that his words implied something. She was afraid of what he would do, so she quickly said.
"Let me go."
Christopher glanced at her red ears, then chuckled and slowly let go of her.
Janice heaved a sigh of relief when she felt him release her. However, she still did not want to change her clothes in front of him, despite what Christopher had said.
She said, "Turn around."
Christopher frowned and stood there without moving.
Seeing that he had no intention of turning around, Janice pursed her lips.
"If you don’t turn around, I... I’ll leave immediately."
She was about to walk to the door with her pajamas.
"Okay, I’ll turn."
Christopher had no choice but to reluctantly turn around.
Janice then took off her bath towel carefully.
Christopher stood, listening to the rustling behind him. He couldn’t help but smile.
Janice was so naive. Did she think that he would not be able to see her if he turned around?
What she didn’t know was that the polished trophies were all reflecting her naked figure from different angles, like an all-round live broadcast.
Christopher stared with great interest. The longer he looked, the hotter his body became, and even his mouth became dry.
However, Janice was unaware. She fastened the last button of her pajamas, then turned around and said, "Okay."
Christopher was aroused but when he heard her voice, he had no choice but to retract his gaze. He turned to look at her, and his fiery gaze couldn’t help encircling her body.
Janice felt that there was something wrong with his gaze. "What... what are you looking at?"
Only then did Christopher look away, as if nothing had happened.
He asked seriously. "You haven’t answered me yet. Why are you here?"
...
Janice frowned. "Didn’t I say that I was tired and didn’t want to travel?" She walked toward the bed.
She still didn’t tell the truth, so Christopher followed her, unwilling to give up. "In that case, I’ll stay with you tonight."
As he spoke, he took off his coat and threw it aside, looking like he was going to bed too.
Janice was stunned. "No, the bed here is so small. You’d better go to the guest room to sleep."
"This is my room." Christopher had already taken off his tie too.
Seeing that he was about to take off his shirt next, Janice hurriedly said. "Then I’ll sleep in the guest room."
She took a pillow and was about to turn to the door.
"Don’t."
Christopher reached out to grab her arm and gently took her into his arms. He firmly locked her in the crook of his arm and said in a low voice.
"Tell me why you’re angry."
He had thought a lot on his way over, but he still could not figure it out.
Janice lowered her gaze. Behind her was his sturdy arm.
She knew that she could not break free, so she just stood there docilely. "I’m not angry."
She answered in a low voice.
He asked her several times and even in different ways, but she just kept denying.
Even so, Christopher refused to give up.
If she didn’t tell him, he would just keep holding her.
His glance fell on her ear. He seemed to have thought of something. "If you’re not going to tell me, I’m going to tickle you."
As he spoke, his hand reached out to tickle her armpit and behind her ear...
All the places she was ticklish.
"Stop it..."
Janice giggled as she tried to dodge.
She was really ticklish.
Christopher obviously wouldn’t let her go like this. "Tell me, or else I’ll continue."
"OK, OK, I’ll tell you."
In the end, she had no choice but to raise her hands to surrender.
Only then did Christopher stop.
Janice stopped laughing and composed herself. She pursed her lips and asked, "What’s your relationship with Director Kelshore?"
She lowered her head and did not look into his eyes.
If it weren’t for his persistent questions, she wouldn’t have asked at all.
Hearing her question, Christopher was stunned.
This was the reason why she was angry?
He narrowed his eyes and felt that her question was out of the blue.
Unless she misunderstood something yesterday at the TV station?
After a long pause, Janice did not get an answer. Her heart sank with sadness.
She knew that even if she asked him, he might not tell her. He might even say she’s too easily jealous.
"If you don’t want to tell me, then forget it."
Just when she thought that Christopher wouldn’t answer, he spoke.
"We don’t have much of a relationship. She was a student that my dad had sponsored before. After that, she went to work for Bateman Group for a period of time."
After listening to Christopher’s explanation, Janice was a little surprised.
"That’s it?"
She waited for Christopher to continue.
Christopher’s gaze fell on her face and frowned. "What else were you thinking? What kind of relationship did you think we have?"
Janice blinked.
Was she mistaken?
But yesterday at the TV station, they were clearly...
Seeing that she lowered her head and kept quiet, as if she was thinking of something, Christopher frowned and leaned closer to her. "You don’t think I’m
having an affair with her, do you?"
He said it directly.
Janice bit her lip, feeling a little embarrassed.
"That’s not what I meant."
Christopher reached out and pinched her cheek. "You’re still trying to deny, your jealousy is so obvious."
Having been exposed, Janice was a little flustered.
"No, I just saw you..."
"What did you see?"
Halfway through her sentence, Christopher frowned and interjected.
