Foreign Land Reclamation By a Vegetable-growing Skeleton
Chapter 1984 - 1545: Stabilizing the Triangular Breach
So powerful... This was Ange’s first impression of Luomu Luo’er’s true form.
It was an extremely strong entity. If the true form of the Little Fireman was a one, then Luomu Luo’er’s true form was a sixteen. Combined with the surrounding black mist, the total strength would be sixty-four times that of the Little Fireman’s true form.
This was an immensely large number, so large that Ange couldn’t see it all at once.
It was like feeling your hand upon just waking up, but not feeling where your foot is. By the time your senses extend to your foot, you can no longer feel your hand. Ange now had this kind of unclear feeling.
Unable to see clearly, Ange retreated to the location of the barrier fissure. The black mist enveloped the fissure, continuously pouring inside. At this moment, Ange felt that the Soul Contact had stabilized.
Although the two God Stars had torn open a barrier fissure, Ange still had a sense of instability, fearing the fissure might close again.
Because of this, his consciousness didn’t dare to enter the outside world, so he could only extend the Soul Contact through the barrier fissure.
But now, through the black mist, Ange felt he had established a stable connection with Luomu Luo’er’s true form, a connection so stable that it couldn’t be severed even if the barrier closed.
Evidently, this was caused by the black mist bridging the two realms. Ange concentrated a large amount of the black mist on both sides of the fissure, attempting to use it to support the fissure and then slowly controlled the Little Fireman and Big Mouth to reduce the size of the fissure.
Luomu Luo’er was the first to notice Ange’s action and shouted in fright, "What are you doing? What are you doing? Hold it, hold it, don’t let it close!"
If it closed, Luomu Luo’er would die, causing him to panic and desperately try to keep the barrier fissure open.
But nothing worked. Even though his true form was sixteen times more powerful than the Little Fireman and with the black mist, the amount of force he could leverage was sixty-four times that of the Little Fireman, he still couldn’t prevent the closing of the fissure.
This involved the direction of force. The two God Stars could exert force in different directions, but Luomu Luo’er only had one true form and could only exert force in one direction, making it ineffective.
The black mist that Ange manipulated was also ineffective; it was quickly compressed by the fissure.
However, Ange was not discouraged and expanded the fissure again, then tapped on the Little Sapling atop his head.
The fissure reverted to its original size, allowing Luomu Luo’er to breathe a sigh of relief, but the next moment he saw enormous branches stretching over, wedging into the fissure, which began to shrink again.
By going back and forth like this, everyone finally understood what Ange was intending to do. Negris asked, "Ange, are you trying to wedge it open with something?"
Ange nodded.
"Using the Tree of Ten Thousand Realms won’t work, right? If the Tree of Ten Thousand Realms could wedge open the barrier fissure, wouldn’t those Star Movers have done so long ago?" Negris said.
Indeed, it didn’t work. The sturdy branches of the Little Sapling were directly flattened and cracked, no matter how much they were strengthened. This is the Tree of Ten Thousand Realms whose roots span all worlds, and even it can’t support the barrier fissure; what else could?
Ange tilted his head and suddenly pulled out a piece of boundary wall material, stuffing it into the fissure.
This boundary wall material was something Hiludi and Leonel picked up at the edge of the Land of the Infinity, clearly detached from the boundary wall, and was the material supporting the entire Land of the Infinity.
With the support of the boundary wall material, the barrier fissure stopped shrinking.
Ange thought for a moment, called Luomu Luo’er over, and then completely released the fissure.
Without the pull of the God Stars, the barrier fissure fully contracted, clamped onto the boundary wall material. The edges of the fissure fully fit onto the boundary wall material, showing no gap whatsoever. The boundary wall material floated alone in the void, with one end jagged and the other smoothly fading away.
"Has it really held firm? This boundary wall block is indeed somewhat useful." Negris said in shock.
It initially thought this material was of no use because it was too hard and difficult to process.
Although later the Insect God Mattis and Durken seemed to have produced some results, they hadn’t yet been practically applied.
Now it’s better. Just wedge it into the barrier fissure, and it can be supported without needing the two God Stars to keep pulling it.
Now there’s only one boundary wall block, so there isn’t a gap at all, but with more supporting each other, there would be gaps between them.
Ange quickly used several boundary wall blocks to form a triangle, wedging it into the barrier fissure, leaving a fist-sized triangular gap in the middle. Through this gap, black mist and thought could pass unimpeded.
Most importantly, the Soul Contact was even more stable, with no worry of sudden closure causing an interruption.
Luomu Luo’er inspected the stability of the triangular gap carefully, and felt joy in his heart; he no longer needed to live in fear.
Yet this thought had just arisen when Luomu Luo’er couldn’t help but smile bitterly; was he really feeling happy about a more stable Soul Contact? Had he adapted to his new identity so quickly?
With the stabilization of the triangular gap, Ange sent out his thought, once again descending upon Luomu Luo’er’s body.
Anthony and Negriss quickly followed, reducing their forms to White Crystal to pass through the triangular gap one by one, coming to the outside world.
Anthony promptly returned to the platform where the Gate of No Boundary was located, found his original White Crystal in the folds of the ground, and transferred his consciousness back.
The new White Crystal still needed some time to adapt, so might as well switch back to the original White Crystal to save the trouble of adapting again.
Ange descended on Luomu Luo’er’s true form, more adeptly manipulating the black mist. With a strong contraction, the power of devouring on Luomu Luo’er’s true form suddenly strengthened, gathering the black mist scattered around.
Once gathered, the black mist solidified considerably and the speed of its transfer through the gap increased significantly. At this rate, it would take only sixty thousand years to transfer both the true form and the black mist through the triangular gap.
"What... how many years?" Negris thought he had misheard.
"Sixty thousand years," Ange replied.
"That’s too slow. Isn’t there a faster way?" Negris asked.
Sixty thousand years? That’s longer than Negris’ lifespan. He, having lived for over ten thousand years before residing in the Bronze Book, had not even spent a thousand years from meeting Ange till now. To transfer this black mist and true form now would take sixty thousand years?
"There is a faster way, the Gate of No Boundary is quicker, but transferring as much energy inside requires consuming the same amount of energy, so at most only half of the power can be transferred inside. Aren’t you capable of using the Star Migration Technique? Migrate me inside with the Star Migration Technique; the consumption would be much lower," Luomu Luo’er said.
Anthony thought for a moment, just about to say something when Ange and Luomu Luo’er suddenly fell silent.
"What’s the matter? Is something approaching?" Negris asked softly.
No response, after a few minutes, two Star Descendants teleported from the void. One of them was probing the surroundings, saying while scanning, "Still nothing, is there really a Gate of No Boundary in this direction? Could we have overshot our mark?"
