Foreign Land Reclamation By a Vegetable-growing Skeleton
Chapter 1989 - 1550: Selling Outdated Information at a Discount?
"Is this the Kwa Turbulence Zone?" Negris asked curiously, surveying the chaotic lights, stones, and fissures around him.
Anthony said, "This reminds me of the Wandering God League; they built a similar safe zone for exchanging information and intelligence. It seems wisdom always leads to similar solutions in dangerous places."
"Oh, I remember now, those low-level Ancient Gods used Little Eye Demon as carriers for convenient projection. But the God Star is impressive; thoughts are projected directly without any carrier," Negris praised.
Luomu Luo’er said strangely, "You’ll need one. Quickly find a black soul stone to attach your thoughts to, or I won’t be able to hold on." 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞
"Ah, you can’t hold on either? Where can I find a black soul stone?" Negris asked frantically, then glanced around.
Unfortunately, they were merely projections based on Luomu Luo’er, with severely limited perception. Their thoughts would dissipate quickly if detached from Luomu Luo’er and couldn’t sense distant objects.
Luomu Luo’er hurriedly searched around for soul stones, attached his thoughts to one, and then continued hunting for another.
Seeing Luomu Luo’er safely attached to a soul stone, Negris asked again, "Why is this place called the Kwa Turbulence Zone?"
"You’ll know once you attach to a soul stone," Luomu Luo’er replied.
Luomu Luo’er quickly found another four or five soul stones, allowing everyone to attach themselves, gathering the stones together.
"I seem to hear something, ’K~~K~~K~~’ from there, and ’Dig~~Dig~~Dig~~’ from here. So this is what Kwa stands for. What is this sound?" Negris immediately heard different sounds upon attaching to a soul stone.
Luomu Luo’er said, "That’s the sound of the Devouring Abyss."
Negris looked at the left and then at the symmetrical other side, startled, "The Devouring Abyss has sound? Big Mouth is also part of the Devouring Abyss, but it has no sound?"
"Yes, Lord Nage; yes, the Abyssal Big Mouth makes a ’Wuu-Wuu-Wuu’ long sound that rings every few weeks, known as the abyss tides. This sound isn’t like that — it’s more like two abysses in a tug-of-war, with something breaking," Ursman quickly explained.
"Good observation. Indeed, it’s two abysses vying, with varied forces breaking. You’ll get used to it. Be cautious of the chaotic flow," said Luomu Luo’er, guiding everyone to one side. Shortly, a chaotic flow swept past where they had been standing, disappearing in the blink of an eye.
"Hiss, wouldn’t you be shattered by a hit?" Negris said, shocked.
"Yes, try not to get hit. But if you do, it doesn’t matter since you can project again... uh, forgot that you’re not God Stars. Typically, only God Stars come here, who could re-project after a hit. Let’s head to a safer place," Luomu Luo’er said, leading them to another direction.
Negris looked left and right but couldn’t figure out how Luomu Luo’er discerned between safe and unsafe areas. He thought for a moment and quietly shared Ange’s view.
Through Ange’s view, Negris immediately saw a revelation. Two round discs composed of vast material collided like on a swing, split apart, swung back, and collided again in a perpetual cycle.
The material inside the discs, if unfortunate, would collide and fragment into smaller pieces, continuing to swing. If lucky, they would pass by, awaiting the next swing back.
The two discs oscillated along the gravitational centerline of the Devouring Abyss; calculating the gravitational centerline and oscillation amplitude revealed the approximate safe spots.
Such tasks Negris excelled at and calculated almost instantly, identifying safer spots vertically above or below the discs’ swing direction, leaning slightly left or right.
Luomu Luo’er headed to a spot slightly left up above, where numerous moving small points gathered.
In the void, the soul stones flew for a long time, finally reaching the ’up left’ position, Luomu Luo’er excitedly exclaimed, "We found it, let’s go."
Negris said stunned, "What do you mean? Weren’t you coming here because you saw someone?"
"How could I see this far? My projection by nature is weak and can’t reach this far. But there are four relatively safe areas out here; if not here, we’ll look at the remaining three places and find someone," Luomu Luo’er replied.
So Luomu Luo’er couldn’t see? Yet Ange’s view identified many moving small points, seemingly calculated again, making the Ring of Balance extraordinary.
Once Ange’s group drew closer, they saw numerous soul stones flying to and fro, but predominantly Star Descendants were flying around, quickly approaching whenever soul stones came near.
"My Lord, do you have news of the Time-Space Ancient Dragon or Exotic Ghost?" Various Star Descendants came to ask enthusiastically, seemingly not of the same faction.
Luomu Luo’er replied, "No, no, do you have their news?"
Two Star Descendants separately said, "I do, please speak aside."
The remaining Star Descendant said, "I don’t, but you can sell me the information once you’ve bought it."
And so, they flew amicably to the side.
Anthony whispered, "There seems to be an established information exchange process here. We should have summoned Silver Coin for this; he’s familiar with the situation."
It’s straightforward; they were projections originally. Ange’s thoughts summoned Silver Coin’s consciousness effortlessly.
Negris attached on Ange, letting Silver Coin use his soul stone.
Silver Coin didn’t proactively lead the information exchange, simply attentive to Luomu Luo’er’s conversation with the two Star Descendants.
Luomu Luo’er asked, "When is the information from? About whom? How much?"
One Star Descendant said, "I first, the message is from a year ago, concerning the Time-Space Ancient Dragon, worth one unit of Star Flame or Chaos Mist."
Upon hearing, the other Star Descendant tactfully backed away.
Silver Coin abruptly pointed to the retreating Star Decedent, asking, "Hold on, what’s your information’s date? About whom?"
The other Star Descendant hesitated, glanced at the first.
"Don’t look at him; are you colluding? If not, I only buy the newest information," Silver Coin demanded sharply.
The other Star Descendant hesitated and said, "Six months ago, about the Time-Space Ancient Dragon, worth one unit of Star Flame or Chaos Mist."
"Great, we’ll make a deal, come over here," Silver Coin instructed.
Luomu Luo’er dumbfoundedly watched Silver Coin seizing control before finally understanding the situation. These Star Descendants attempted selling Time-Space Ancient Dragon news twice?
Information naturally is better if it’s newer; a year ago versus six months ago, selling the older and then newer as separate was deceitful.
Silver Coin exchanged one unit of Chaos Mist, sending the Star Descendant away, before turning to the other Star Descendant: "I acquired the latest information from six months ago; yours being a year old, outdated — offer a quarter unit, deal or no deal?"
"Deal, deal, a year ago, the Time-Space Ancient Dragon was at the Beimang Branch Road, killed the Branch Lord there.
