Foreign Land Reclamation By a Vegetable-growing Skeleton
Chapter 1996 - 1557: Little Angel, Take It Down
What could be valuable to the Branch Lord?
Anthony and the others had no idea; guessing would be like a farmer guessing the Emperor uses a golden hoe to till the soil, or a woodcutter guessing the Emperor uses a golden axe to cut trees. Life cannot imagine things it hasn’t experienced.
Ange also exists at the level of a God Star, but everyone knows he enjoys gardening. But what about Luomu Luo’er?
Luckily Luomu Luo’er is right here, so they can ask directly. What he wants to know most now is actually the whereabouts of Exotic Ghosts?
"Why Exotic Ghosts? Aren’t you interested in the whereabouts of the Time-Space Ancient Dragon?" Negris asked.
"Not anymore. You are the ones eager to know the whereabouts of the Time-Space Ancient Dragon. I’m not in a rush," Luomu Luo’er said.
This left Anthony and the others looking at each other in dismay, as Luomu Luo’er seemed a bit... cunning?
Negris turned to ask Silver Coin: "Any news on the Exotic Ghosts?"
Silver Coin replied: "Nothing recent. The latest news is from sixty years ago; a shadow enveloped the Stadu Divine Star, and after the shadow disappeared, there was no conscious life left on the entire Stadu Divine Star and its nearby planes."
"Stadu Divine Star? That name sounds a bit strange," Ursman muttered.
Silver Coin responded: "Indeed, it’s strange. It’s not the name of the God Star, but rather the creatures from the planes around the God Star. They call themselves Stadu. Most God Stars don’t have names, but names are needed for intelligence exchange, so they are named after their nearby species."
Upon hearing this, Luomu Luo’er suddenly interjected: "I am called Luomu Luo’er. Remember that; when exchanging intelligence outside, make sure to mention me as Luomu Luo’er."
Silver Coin nodded: "Alright. I’ll tell the Elf Star Descendants your name shortly. Does anyone outside know your name?"
"Probably not. Our God Stars don’t have names. I came up with this name only after encountering you all," Luomu Luo’er said.
Anthony remarked: "But you also mentioned this name is based on our conventions, and you know our conventions involve converting light spectrum to sound waves. What if someone converts your name to sound waves and then back to light spectrum to recognize you?"
Luomu Luo’er replied: "Let them recognize me if they must. Am I supposed to fear other God Stars recognizing me? I’m only worried about the Exotic Ghosts recognizing me."
Alright, now it seems even the Time-Space Ancient Dragon isn’t feared.
Anthony shrugged helplessly and turned to ask: "Lord Luomu, do you know where these Elf Star Descendants come from?"
Luomu Luo’er replied: "I don’t know. It’s not apparent just from their appearance. If you can gather more information, I might be able to make a guess."
Silver Coin nodded.
Anthony continued: "From the perspective of a God Star, why would they ask if ’the Land of Infinity has reopened’?"
Luomu Luo’er said: "I feel they aren’t asking from a God Star’s perspective, or perhaps their God Star doesn’t truly understand what the Land of Infinity is, only partially perceiving it as a teleportation node; otherwise, they would’ve asked how to enter, not if it’s reopened."
Anthony and Silver Coin nodded in agreement. They felt the same way, but couldn’t be sure due to possible language habits.
At this point, Ange suddenly looked up.
Everyone knew what that meant; the two Elf Star Descendants had likely returned, but Luomu Luo’er was focused on another matter: "How can you see so far?"
Anthony asked: "Lord Luomu, can’t you see that far?"
Luomu Luo’er replied: "No, my main body could, but my projection here doesn’t have a strong consciousness, so far distances are beyond my perception. However, his projection came from the Land of Infinity to me, then transmitted again, so there’s no reason for him to see farther than me."
"It seems your understanding of the Void isn’t as deep as our Lord’s; even your vision isn’t as far-reaching," Anthony joked, smoothly changing the topic: "Can the Branch Lord’s vision be farther than an ordinary God Star’s?"
Luomu Luo’er said: "Depends on the individual. If his being is larger than mine, he likely has a farther vision than mine."
"A larger being? Then why doesn’t he become a Branch Lord? Are there any conditions restricting him?" Negris asked.
Luomu Luo’er answered: "It mostly depends on who’s the strongest. Some God Star beings have very short lifespans despite their large size, becoming immobile, aging within a few million years, and thus, finding it difficult to incubate consciousness, which prevents them from becoming a Branch Lord."
Negris was astonished. Aging over a few million years is considered a short lifespan. The lifetime perception of God Stars differs vastly from that of Life Species.
However, these seemingly eternal beings in the void were now being called out by the Time-Space Ancient Dragon, making them tremble in fear, an amusing thought.
Thirty seconds had passed, and finally, the two Elf Star Descendants appeared in everyone’s line of sight, arriving before them in just seven or eight seconds, showcasing their rapid movement and Ange’s far-reaching vision.
In only seven or eight seconds, they crossed everyone’s field of vision, but Ange noticed them thirty seconds ago when they entered the visible range.
Accompanying the two Elf Star Descendants was another large Fur Ball Star Descendant, obviously summoned by them.
This Fur Ball Star Descendant approached Silver Coin directly: "I don’t know what you might find valuable. I can only tell you what we have to offer."
Silver Coin nodded.
The Fur Ball Star Descendant stated: "The location of a God Star’s remains, a method for Star Descendants to move quickly in the void, a method to increase the number of Star Descendants, a method for Star Descendants to rapidly strengthen themselves..."
At this, Luomu Luo’er impatiently interrupted: "Can you mention something of value to God Stars? Everything you’ve said is valuable only to Star Descendants; for God Stars, they’re of no worth. If you can’t present anything valuable to God Stars, then let your main star handle this."
The two Elf Star Descendants who had been hiding behind the Fur Ball timidly poked their heads out, clueless and helpless. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮
Seeing them like this, Anthony asked in surprise: "Didn’t you explain clearly to it?"
The two Elf Star Descendants hesitantly replied: "We did clear up..."
Before they could finish, the Fur Ball interrupted: "Say what you need to me. They can’t decide anything, but I..."
Anthony was instantly furious: "Dammit, the dignity of the Branch Lord is not something you can challenge! Whether you can make decisions internally is none of my business. How dare you waste our time? Little Angel, apprehend it."
